Over from the UK for Thanksgiving and we decided to try Sammy-Jo's for breakfast. Clearly a very popular choice as the ample parking lot was steadily filling up. A wide choice of food to eat and variation on how you want it. They will accommodate you and provide a friendly and efficient service. We were welcomed by Jay who is the charming son of the owner and who took our coffee order. Our breakfast arrived quickly and was more than ample in size. So much for me planning to have a light breakfast before Thanksgiving Turkey! Despite it getting busy our waitress Ericka made sure everything was fine. Sammy-Jo's is well worth a visit either for
breakfast or lunch. Next time we are in Aancaster we will be back to try lunch!

Went on Friday night at 5 o'clock. Good thing we did because by 5:30 it was full. Very pleasant server and delicious food. I had stuffed Yorkie that was big enough for two accompanied by very nicely done roasted cauliflower, carrots and broccoli with mashed potatoes. The others had meat pie, burger and Caesar salad, soup and calamari. All good. Tables are small and close together, just like a European pub. Parking is on the street. If you have tickets for Theatre Ancaster you receive a discount on your meal. A nice incentive to eat here!

Went there to try something new, it looks very elegant from the pictures. While it is nice inside, it was very average. Expected more for the price. Had the steak, and it was cooked properly. The broccoli was decent, but the mashed potatoes had a texture I wasn’t expecting. Was almost powdery. I’m almost certain they weren’t “real” potatoes and it tasted like it was out of a box.

The beautifully restored Ancaster Mill boasts a picturesque and Historic setting. The Dining Room features floor-to-ceiling windows with panoramic views of Waterfalls and naturally landscaped Gardens. The interior decor accents the authentic look with warm earth tones and large stone fireplaces, creating a relaxing atmosphere. Ancaster is home to one of Canada"s most diverse and productive agricultural regions. With seasonal offerings inspired by Landmark Group's Earth to Table philosophy, Ancaster Mill's menus offer impeccable local ingredients from neadby farms and food artisans. The Ancaster Mill beverage selection compliments this with featured signature drinks and an expansive Wine List, including several by-the-glass selections.
Quality food is hard to come by in Hamilton area. The atmosphere enhances the dining experience. We went on a Saturday night. The evening and food well well paced. Great recommendations by the waitress. Had the special which was sea bass. Others had steak which was tender. The description of the brunch would get me back there again.

Whether you’re in the mood for southern style in-house smoked ribs and pulled pork or looking for some Canadian BBQ flavour across our burgers, steaks and sandwiches; Montana’s has the perfect atmosphere to bring the family or meet up with friends. Fire up the good times at Montana’s BBQ & Bar!
Came in here for some lunch before catching a movie at the neighbouring Cineplex theatre. You can get some extra scene points by eating here. The food is good and the service was great but the place was understaffed. One waitress was serving somewhere between 20 and 30 people.

Because of West Jet's crappy flight times from Hamilton to Calgary, we had to stay in a hotel in Hamilton one night to catch a flight at 0608 the next morning.
There were only 2 restaurants close to the hotel we stayed in, the Keg & another one & its name escapes me. It didn't look appealing so we chose the Keg.
It was a Sunday night at 1730 and there was already a line up to get in. We had about a 30 minute wait to get a table.
Since it is a chain restaurant, our expectations were pretty low, but hey, we had to eat.
First of all, our server was beyond outstanding: friendly, funny, accommodating, knowledgeable...I could go on. Her name was Madeleine, so if you go here, ask for her section.
My wife ordered the steak special and I had prime rib.
I live in Alberta, home of Alberta beef, some of the best beef in the world. Both our meals must have been imported from Alberta to Ontario. They were both absolutely delicious. Some of the best horseradish I have ever had; it is so hot, it comes with a warning.
We shared a dessert, mud pie I think, we loved it.
After the wait, it was a perfect meal, absolutely no complaints and the price was reasonable, before adding all of the Ontario taxes.
Would I eat here again? Definitely, next time we go to Ontario
Would I recommend it to friends? Definitley

Enjoy the fun, the flavour and the familiarity of Britain’s finest public houses in the heart of Olde Ancaster. A place where friends gather to kick back on weekdays…and meet again to wine, dine and dance away their weekends. Temp your palette with one of the Brassie’s classic British pub favourites, teamed with a cool and refreshing draught from the Brassie’s impressive selection of imported and domestic taps.
We were very pleasantly surprised with the extra large salad bowl sized Nachos with all the fixings! It was filling and so delicious- ask for extra sour cream on the side too!
That was all we ordered for dinner because chicken and beef are on the Nachos too- superb!!!

One of our favourite places to eat in town -lots of vegetarian and fish options for climatarian diners Fabulous service and always good food. I highly recommend this Dundas eatery. Don’t forget to walk down memory lane and check out the murals, pictures and photos in the alley alongside the building. Long live the Deluxe Restaurant!

The evening started off well. My wife and I were promptly seated and our server came over promptly and introduced himself. We place, our order and our server became pretty much invisible. No, “How is the food?”, after either the appetizer or main courses were served. Unlike many servers who would have noticed a soft drink needed a refill we had flag him down. Our appetizer was very good. It was the Chicken Cheese Dip. My wife’s Goat Cheese Sandwich. She said it was okay. My fish and chips were a disappointment. The batter on the dish was very dry and overly crumbly. I left a good portion on my plate and our server did not think to ask if there had been a problem with my meal. It is my experience that most servers will when clearing dishes from the main courses ask it you want coffee or dessert. I do not know if we did we were not asked. The bill was presented and we paid it. The tip was about half of what I would have left if we had had good service. I am in no hurry to patronize this restaurant again.

We had a group night out here. We had the separate room for the party. They were under staffed and seemed to be way out of control. Waited forever to get any food. eventually brought apps however NO PLATES. about 45 minutes waits for the apps. ordered drinks and again took forever. over an hour and finally food comes out in sporadic form. again numerous people had no plates. We got up to grab some plates that were stacked in the corner and the waitress quickly took them away saying they were the wrong plates. Have to say everyone was not happy.
