It's nice when you can combine the beauty and artistry of an older building with a quality restaurant and this is done here. You have the stunning woodwork from times gone by that just is not cost effective today. Followed by a tasty menu. It is tilted southern so expect more meat than veggies. You can even add chicken to a vegetarian option for a few dollars more. If you are in Americus and not on too tight a budget, you should check this one out!

Cafe Campesino Coffee House is the flagship coffee house for Georgia's first Fair Trade, organic coffee company of the same name that opened in Americus in 1998. In 2017, Chef Lee Harris moved his made-from-scratch lunch and baked-goods business, Sweet Georgia Baking Co., into the coffee house, so the location now offers a double whammy- exceptional coffee and outstanding house-made foods. Supporting small farmers who produce some of the world's best coffee and sourcing fresh, delicious foods that contribute to a good-food economy is at the heart of this shop's mission. Visit Café Campesino and Sweet Georgia Baking for one of the best food and coffee experiences in the South.
Who knew in a small Southwest Georgia town you could find a fair trade, "small, shade grown" coffee house? Not only can you indulge your coffee addiction, but you actually get a very high quality product. The cafe is centrally located, across from the Historic Windsor Hotel, and offers coffee, tea, lattes, and so much more. Sweet Georgia Baking Co. recently moved in and has made a huge difference for a quality lunch. The space is absolutely gorgeous - fantastic wood details, industrial elements, and incredible pictures of the company visiting the actual farmers of the coffee you are drinking from all over the world! This is more than just a coffee shop - this is a destination. Make sure to ask about their roastery when you visit!

I wanted just a snack before taking a nap before heading out for the evening. I had the pimento cheese sandwich and potatoe salad. Awesome.
My friend had the chicken salad. Loved it as well.
We were blown away by the mini muffins!!!!!!!!!!! Wow.
This is a real gem of a place.

We had 13 of us hungry for lunch. We only have an hour but we gave our order, got our delicious food and back to work on time. The food is so good, especially the fried grits, and the service is exceptional. Everything runs like a well oiled machine. Go and try them out.

A cozy, nice restaurant with a interior desighned with dark Wood and nice tables in private spaces.
Before your meal you get a big basket of nachos and the portions of the meals are big enough for two...
All is very fresh and good. Would definitely go there again.

The crowd in this little bar on the second floor of the venerable Windsor Hotel says it all. Happy staff, decent mixology, and great food (they share the kitchen with Rosemary&Thyme, which is the best restaurant in town). If you want to dine, go to R&T. But if you want casual, or are alone, go to Floyd's.

We were hungry but didn't want fast food. Saw this on Trip Adviser, checked out reviews and SO GLAD we tried it. Food is freshly cooked. The French Fries alone would bring me back! The servers were friendly and accurate. They served us complimentary hot tea while we were waiting for our "to go" order. Definitely recommend trying it yourself for a change from ordinary.

This is a great spot for a snack and for a meal! Stop by and enjoy the local flow of people. They have a lot of space, friendly staff and great food! You can't go wrong the pizza buffet or the desert buffet or the sandwiches or the entrees! You feel me? See you there.

Gladys seems to be a clean restaurant. THAT GOES A LONG WAY WITH ME. Having said that, I was poised for the much talked about "butter roll" thinking that it would be a yeast roll. Although many people LOVE bread pudding, I do not. So, that was a disappointment. But, I loved the corn pone. Also, I loved the fried chicken, liver, green beans and coleslaw. Thank you Gladys.
