I have been to Zé Carteiro several times and it was always fantastic. Good restaurant, amazing and delicious food, incredible service. One of my favorite dishes there is Polvo à Lagareiro (Octopus) and it's really worth the price. Delicious.
I wouldn't travel all the way from Lisbon but if you are in the area of Povoa de Santa Iria, it's a great place to go.

Nice place to have some pizza or pasta without paying too much. Fast service, fast sitting and fast paying. If you are on a worry or if you do not have too much time this is the place. Is not the easiest to find because is inserted in the building zone so you must have good a gps or a good friend to lead you there.
Overall a nice experience but dont expect too much.

This place we know very well because we go there often. Not having a big menu, the food is typical portuguese and you have a very good choice of wines. Can be full at the weekend, easy to park.

Open your eyes on arriving...the surroundings are not atractive. Located in an old rice warehouse facing the Tagus river. Nice decoration. Managed by a couple. Staff is friendly but not so professional. Portuguese cuisine could be more genuine. House wine is not a must. After lunch stroll on a river Promenade that will totally justify the trip!

Arriving at this restaurante after 2 years brought me some deception. The beautiful vine field is still there, but once inside I really missed the old decoration and ambiance. The new manager welcomed us with a smile, but those new (or should I say old) tables and chairs were not inviting. The wine menu is quite poor and the first sip of the white made locally was, I must say, disappointing. But then the food started to arrive and everything went very well in a crescendo, with the star of the meal being the 'Fatiota de Coelho' (grilled rabbit). A must try and definitely return for me, however would like to see more wines in the menu and some music playing in the background.

Fomos no casamento do meu sobrinho e correu tudo muito bem.O espaço é muito agradável têm uma excelente vista, os funcionários foram muito prestáveis e a comida também estava muito boa.A culminar o partir do bola dos noivos com a fonte luminosa foi lindíssimo recomendo para quem, se queira casar.

Big restaurant, with good food. If the restaurant is full the service will be slow. All employes are nice and educated. The view is very good.

Went here on Saturday with friends for the first time. Very impressed. Set in a new urban setting. Very warm and friendly welcome. Food amazing and be warned 1 portion will do easily for 2/3 people. Very nice decor. All decorated ready for Christmas. Best to get there early to sure of getting a table. Otherwise you'll have to wait!

Maybe twenty minutes away from Lisbon, this restaurant is good. Very good indeed. Great Italian food cooked perfectly. Great 'sangria'. Staff 5 stars and a cozy environment makes this restaurant and excellent choice for those who enjoy Italian food.

We visit this restaurant almost every other weekend. It's food is great, the prices are outrageous for the quality and quantity and the quality of service is pretty good too. They are situated about 20 mins from Lisbon, but it's well worth the drive for a great meal.
