The crust is crispy but tasty. The toppings were very good. Even the Caesar dressing was very good. The order was ready when promised. What more can you ask from a pizza place?

Our lunch included 1 hamburger, 1 pork tenderloin sandwich and 1 chicken fried steak sandwich. All came with excellent tasting fries. About 30+ burgers on the menu at 9oz each in size. Pork tenderloin was huge. Chicken fried steak was crispy and tender. Not many inside tables as it is a small bar. has outdoor patio seating for more room. Almost could be considered a "dive" of a joint. Great atmosphere, TV's scattered around as it seems to lean toward a sports bar.

Charming bakery in the heart of the Hill (St. Louis's historic Italian neighborhood). They have Italian pastries, German pastries, and more! They have freshly baked bread, sweets, cakes - everything you can think of! A friend and I visited on a Sunday morning when the Hill is quiet, and we were helped right away! The employees there that morning answered all the questions we had about the pastries we weren't familiar with and they were very helpful! They're cash only, but they have an ATM set up where you can get cash and they'll give the change for a $1.50 fee. My friend and I both left with boxes so that we could take a little bit of St. Louis home with us!

I ordered spicy fried rice as my entree; spicy was its only flavor; not good. My spouse ordered red curry. He didn't find his entree as distasteful as mine, but not great. It had been months/years since we'd been there, and now we remember why.

Interesting location in old home but makes it a little crowded and loud. Food was good, had steaks and salmon. Side was served in tiny bowl which is unusual for high end steak house, small portion and felt like “meat and three” side, plenty of room on main plate for side to make better presentation. Overall would say good, not great, and a bit overpriced. Would probably explore other steakhouses on next visit instead of returning here.

Ted Drewes is closed for the season and will re-open on February 11, 2016.... Could you please update this information on our Trip Advisor Page.... Thank you
I was driving around St Louis on a Saturday night with a friend and he mentioned he wanted to try this frozen custard place called Ted Drewes. We arrived 9:30pm with no expectations and were flabbergasted to see a crowd of three or four hundred people lining up at the shop windows. The queue moved quickly and it wasn't long before my tastebuds savoured the deliciously creamy frozen banana custard, not dissimilar to soft serve ice cream. We ate our custard cups in the carpark, made friends with some locals and couldn't resist returning once again the following evening. Ted Drewes is definitely a St Louis institution.

My husband and I were visiting family in St. Louis, so they decided to bring us here for breakfast one day. Of course when it comes to making a decision, it was hard to make one; however, the waitress (I can't remember her name) told me that I can combine the two items I was trying to decide over. That made my decision much easier! I ended up getting the Boardwalk Omelet and the French toast. When I received my plate, I was surprised by how large the omelet was...the omelet and hash browns were covering my entire plate! The hash browns were browned, but not overcooked, which is how I like them. The omelet was the most delicious omelet that I had ever eaten. It was filled with so much that I couldn't even finish it. We did have some issues with the glassware, but it was fixed quickly without hesitation or complaint.
We had been taken to other breakfast places around the city during our visit to St. Louis, but this one was my favorite.

We meet some friends here for dinner. The food was truly excellent. The house salad has a dressing that is simply superb! I had Shrimp Garazini for the main course, and it was rich with flavor in a wonderful white sauce with vegetables. The service was really great.

Highway 61 Roadhouse and Kitchen was conceived during a trip on Highway 61 between St. Louis and New Orleans. This stretch is called "The Blues Highway". It originates in the agriculturally and culturally fertile land of the Mississippi Delta; it is said that American music, as we know it, traveled and developed up the river. From the Zydeco and Jazz of New Orleans to the Urban Blues of Memphis' Beale Street to the piano based St. Louis Blues, great music has spanned this route. The combination of the rhythmic sounds of slaves and their instruments of the new world gave America its roots of unique musical styles that have topped the charts and soothed souls for centuries. The various cultures that created such distinctive and world-renowned music had other influences as well. The food of this section of Highway 61 brings us the savory tastes and complex flavors that American's hearts and palates have fallen in love with. No one can resist the spicy etouffee or jambalaya from the Cajun and Creole kings of New Orleans. The Delta brings us items like cornmeal breaded catfish, hot tamales and sweet potatoes. As this culinary journey continues to Memphis, you will find mounds of slow smoked pulled pork and racks of seasoned dry rubbed ribs. St. Louis, whose contributions include pork steaks, toasted ravioli and what was initially a mistake that has turned into one of the area's most loved desserts, gooey butter cake. These are just a few examples of the fine foods this rich region has contributed to America's gastronomic lore. We hope we have included some of your favorites on our menu and if you have a suggestion please let us know. We hope you enjoy our "Southern Roadhouse Hospitality" along with the food and music that we have selected from this section of Highway 61. Whether it's the great seafood and spicy Cajun foods along with Jazz and Zydeco from Louisiana, the soulful cooking and Blues from the Mississippi Delta, the Rockabilly of the Sun label as well as the Soulful sounds of the Stax and Hi labels as well as the mouth watering barbecue made so famous in Memphis, or, of course, our hometown greats Chuck Berry, Fontella Bass, and Ike and Tina Turner, and a mouth watering pork steak and gooey butter cake. We promise to bring you the best in food and music that these areas have to offer.
We stopped in for a late lunch and had the three item version of the Cajun sampler. The Cajun gumbo was more of a cross of Cajun and creole with chicken, sausage, okra, tomatoes and carrots in a dark roux over rice. The etouffe was...MoreThanks for dining with us Karli!
