Coffee Shop. Light Fare Food. Coffee Roasted onsite. Homemade Frozen Dinners to go.
I have been in Abingdon for five weeks now, and the one daily constant in my life is stopping here for coffee. The coffee is wonderful, the food is fantastic, and the staff is beyond incredible. They take a genuine interest in their guests, and make a point to get to know your order when you walk in the door. I am going to miss this place when I move on from this town.

They have a varied menu and both of our dishes: a pasta special and fresh fish, were nicely prepared. They also have steak and vegetarian mains, and good desserts. There's a full bar and a reasonable wine and beer list.
Everyone was nice. The hostess was pleasant, the wait friendly and attentive without hovering.
We were surprised at how expensive many of the other Abingdon restaurants are--128 Pecan was a lot more reasonable.
While not a Five-star, never-to-be-forgotten meal, a very nice dinner from very nice people. We're happy we chose this restaurant for our one dinner in Abingdon!

I’m still dreaming about my yummy dinner. The Tavern more than delivered. It’s a small, quaint restaurant with historic flair. Great for couples, romantic dinners, or get togethers. We reserved the private room. Very pleased with service and food. Great wine. Great atmosphere Worth the $$ for special occasions

I was very surprised to learn there is a Balkan Bakery in Abingdon, which doesn't boast a lot of ethnic eateries. Apparently one of the owners, from Macedonia, married an Abingdon girl to the benefit of interesting eating in this small western Virginia town. We had a nice lunch: ample spinach and feta burek. They heated it a bit which was a shame because the phyllo got soggy so while the filling was delicious if you get one, take it room temperature. Then we had their strudl, long roll ups of flaky crisp pastry surrounding a cherry and an apple filling. You can get good tea or Turkish coffee. We got a baklava to go since they came in a host of flavors, probably for local tastes: German chocolate, tangy cranberry orange (the one we tried), peanut butter and traditional. They sell their version of crepes, palacinka, and truffles. You'll have fun here!

Beautiful building with outdoor patio, very unique art/decor with a beautiful open bar and lounge area.
We celebrated our 5th anniversary; my husband called and requested reservations. They sat us at a private corner table with a beautiful view out 2 windows. We enjoyed spectacular steaks and scrumptious desserts. Thank you for giving us such great memories on our special night!

Homemade Desserts and Ice Cream. Everything is made from scratch in the shop. Along with ice cream, we have cheesecakes, cookies, brownies, layer cakes, and pound cakes. Sit at a table or grab a seat in the comfortable lounge area. We have books, cards, and games for you to enjoy as well.
This dessert shop is owned by a hard-working local gal who has earned your patronage. There is a variety of baked goodies (cookies, blondies, brownies, etc.) and many flavors of ice cream. A nice stop in the evening, too, because some nights they stay open later than every other establishment, even the restaurants. Support your local business. Enjoy!

Been working here in the area for several months. I've tried every restaurant around Abingdon and this is one of the best. My service was good my drink didn't go dry, and my food came out fast. I did a a ham and cheese sub that was grilled and was very nice. And I also had a sausage and turnip soup that I absolutely liked. I'll be back. This place is definitely worth the stop if you're coming to Abingdon. Just off the main drag in a small Shopping Center.

Good quality ice cream, several yummy flavors to choose from. Flavors change periodically so you can try something new each time! You get it however you want it: shakes, cones, sundaes, etc...Cute little shop, it stays BUSY...even with Dairy Queen right across the street!
