Good hotel, needs a facelift and better lighting

Reviewed By Sherpa628434

The Lodge at Jackson Hole has a great location near (but not in) the main downtown area with all the tourist shops. Although the hotel could use a facelift, the rooms were not bad. The staff were friendly and helpful - even the very overworked bartender/server and breakfast staff. Their service was great. The front desk staff were great too. Our biggest complaint is the lack of decent lighting in the rooms.

Over priced golf course fees

Reviewed By Kathy E

Many local Cheyenne residents would like to golf here but the price is way out of line for this little course. I guess travelers don't mind the outrageous prices. It also lacks a restroom half way through so you're stuck with the clubhouse only.

Dog charge-we don’t have a dog

Reviewed By NaColeBeall

“Room was covered in hair and smelt awful of wet dog” We don’t have a dog. We let a friends sister sleep on our pull out-she has a small breed dog. She went to the office to obtain a blanket for the pull out with her dog. They told her the dog couldn’t enter the cabin, several times. Then he followed up with a call to me at the cabin before she could even return to threaten me with a $500 fine if the dog enters the cabin. We agreed. He then asked if the dog had been in the cabin-we informed him it hadn’t (I had never even seen the dog the whole night) We told them no problem-she had a kennel in her car anyway for him. It wasn’t a problem. I hardly know the girl and she was grateful for the space to avoid driving home after a hard days ride. No reason to even have the dog in the cabin. The dog never came in. They charged our card $500 anyway If not refunded we will just dispute it or submit it to a small claims court. We may consider a different location for our event in the future. They where very aggressive on how they threatened us with the dog-after we had agreed several times. I find their dishonesty to be a lack of integrity. It’s also quite insulting to refer to our aftermath as being “as smelly as a wet dog”. They aggressively made their list clear, it was a problem and we had no issue with refusing an acquaintances dog, nor did she make an attempt after experiencing the office gentleman’s aggressive nature. Unfortunate judgement

Three stars for location. One star for value for money

Reviewed By Rosi H

It is the only hotel in Moran, so limited choices for budget travelers. I agree with most of the comments in previous reviews. We stayed in the old house above the shop. Love the creaky floors and rustic feel, but there was no light above the outside entrance and the door opens to an open death trap staircase. Huge cause for concern and they should install a gate. In our room there was an enormous chest of drawers which is very rustic and gorgeous, but how many people stay for two months? To offer no microwave/fridge/coffee maker in 2022 is unacceptable. You could replace the chest of drawers with these amenities. Yes it is a darling cabin with a rustic feel and well decorated, but there were only two plugs in our room. We had to choose between charging 2 phones, a camera, hearing aids, bedside lamp, or the fan. I asked at the front desk for a power strip or an extension cord but they had nothing and no options. I find this curious as a few people have mentioned this issue. Two very small pillows which fall behind the bed. The cancellation policy is ridiculously strict. My heart breaks for the poor woman whose son has cancer. We paid 139 for the room which, with this lack of amenities and a shared bath room, was more like a $60 room. They do not offer a military discount. I am always reluctant to complain but want to give future travelers a thorough heads up?

Amangani

Amangani (peaceful home) clings to the crest of East Gros Ventre Butte, some 2,135 metres above sea level, and affords magnificent views of the Grand Tetons and Snake River Valley. The resort evokes the atmosphere of the American West, from its redwood panelling to its blazing logfires. Amangani is an all-season resort. The winter highlight is skiing, while in spring, summer and fall the surrounding wilderness areas of Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks are amongst the many attractions.

Endless mountain view and relaxing retreat from the crowd

Reviewed By iamjaneli

Beautiful, peaceful property on 7000 feet above sea level. It was worth it to just stay here to soak in the outdoor hot tub and take in the view. It was hailing when we used the pool and yet we were perfectly comfortable. We only stayed for a night during our yellowstone roadtrip. Our stay was wonderful especially immediately coming from camping. The hotel was fully booked, so no upgrade from Amex, but we never feel crowded and never see more than 2 tables occupied in the restaurant. The service and food in restaurant is good, and they never ask you to sign anything for the bill. There is a steam room in the spa locker room that opens 24 hours, pool is opened all hours too. For the room, there is only king size bed, they were able to split the bed into two twins with a tiny gap in between it. We also added a rollaway bed with extra hundred bucks. So, this is not exactly ideal when traveling with kids.

Beautiful Scenery

Reviewed By OutAndAboutFL

My husband and I enjoyed 3 nights at Spring Creek Ranch. The views of the Tetons from our window and porch were stunning! Located only around 5 miles from town it wasn’t out of the way and way quiet. We saw a moose in the neighbors yard as well as a fox and deer right off the porch. We had a King room that was beautifully kept and extremely clean. There are no A/C’s but the screen on the door and fans kept us more than comfortable. My only “complaint”, if it is one, is that I thought we were staying in/on the Elk Refuge. While we were close, it was more neighborhood than refuge. However, I didn’t see anywhere in Jackson that could match the view!

It also had a beautiful deck with a nice view. It was very private. They provided everything we needed for our stay. There were multiple refrigerators and other appliances which was very handy for accommodating a very large group. It was a beautiful house in a beautiful setting. There is a River running through the property. There were fireplaces, games, snacks, etc. The owners were very easy going and helpful. We enjoyed being able to have a large group all together for socializing, cooking, playing games. Wonderful experience!

Easter Brunch

Reviewed By Jacksonwygirls

Not worth the 166.0 dollars for TWO people. That includes buffet and two glasses of pocesseco and mandatory tip of 18%. It’s a brunch, really 18% , exspecially when O had to ask for the two pocessecos each time and for our water glasses to be filled. Horrible service. Waiter acted as if he was talking to aliens and looked scared..all of the tables were pretty much seated at THE SAME TIME, THEN WHY WERE WE THE FIRST TO RECIEVE A BILL, AS OTHERS WERE GIVEN 30 MINUTES LATER, YEAH I WAS WATCHING. to much. Food was okay to a few items rated as good, though there wasn’t prime rib and salads were soggy along with veggies .. breads were hard as was the butter to spread on the cold waffles.. Desserts were good and omelette station was odd, the veggies were not sautéed before adding egg, raw? I would never go back again abd would like a refund.
