The rooms are good. Simple, spacious, large bathrooms. SOOO warm even when the heating is off but that can’t be helped. The beds are really comfy too. The facilities are amazing. But… The food is problematic. I’ve stayed twice some months apart and both times they can’t get their head around dietary requirements. If you pre-order the meal, they’re confused on the day. If you don’t pre-order and it’s buffet, literally nothing is labelled and there is no thought given to whether there is enough for varied requirements (there isn’t). If you pre-order snacks for your meeting breaks, no dietary requirements are catered for. And the food that comes is just okay ish. In this day and age and at these prices, you expect far more. So come for the rooms, the grounds and the facilities…. But not the food.

A warm welcome awaits at Portsmouth’s last family run seafront hotel which has been brought into the 21 st century with a sympathetic refurbishment including a passenger lift, en- suite rooms and suites, a cosy Bar, 24 hour Reception, a varied breakfast and on road and private parking. With stunning maritime views from the bedrooms on the third floor, the first & second floor rooms overlook the beautiful ornamental gardens with sea glimpses through the trees. Just along the road is South Parade Pier with its wonderful restaurant, small fun fair and entertainment bars. Close by is the D Day Museum, Aquarium and Southsea Castle where Henry the 8 th stood watching as the Mary Rose sank into the Solent. Also within walking distance is the Pyramids Centre, Canoe Lake, the Rose Gardens, Isle of Wight Hovercraft and Palmerston Road which boasts over 40 restaurants from almost as many different countries. Moments away, is a seafood restaurant, a gastropub, a fine dining establishment and the usual seaside cafes etc. Gunwharf Quays/historic dockyard is a ten minute bus ride away or a 40 minute walk along the promenade and through historic Old Portsmouth.
Get a parking permit from the hotel before paying! For the price and location, this was exceptional. Even the breakfast was top notch. I wish I had read the comments about parking as you can get a day pass from the hotel for £2 (Vs £12 for 24 hr via Ringo). However that didn’t spoil things, the room was lovely, we didn’t have a sea view but didn’t expect it given the price and we only really needed some there to rest our heads. The bed/mattress/duvet were on par with 5-star hotels I’ve stayed in. Will definitely come here again! For the best deals they do recommend contacting the hotel directly.

Great hotel for easily getting to the ferry terminal. 2 min down the road. Very lovely view of the sea and the ferry's. Very comfy bed and good sleep. We had a seagull chatting to us at the window. Check in took a while as key card took 4 attempts to work. Would use again if getting the ferry

Set sail for a unique stay at the 4-star Leonardo Royal Southampton Grand Harbour. Overlooking the waterfront, this iconic hotel with its towering glass atrium is just 5 minutes from the port, making it an ideal base for those taking off or returning from a cruise. Guests can look forward to enjoying an onsite Marco Pierre White Bar & Grill, the Royal Bar, fully-equipped leisure centre with Southampton's largest indoor pool, sauna and gym as well as the ultra-relaxing Rena Spa. The hotel also boasts impressive meetings and events facilities with it's Mayflower Suite being the largest in the city, accommodating up to 500 guests.
So upsetting, the first room we had was poorly set up and the bed was covered in hair, our room was then moved to a much larger room thanks the the lovely lady on reception. We went out for a beautiful meal in Southampton to celebrate our anniversary but arriving back to our new room realised we had no running water. After calling reception 3 times we decided to ask for a refund and leave. The night Porter “Junior” was rude and didn’t once apologise about the situation, he also said word for word that he was used to it where he was from?! After I walked out to get the my bank card I returned to reception only to over hear the porter and two other members of staff talking about me behind my back. Saying what where they supposed to do about the issue. I think the hotel is lacking a proper professional atmosphere and definitely needs to look into the poor service some of its staff are offering. My partner and I won’t be rushing back. I’d rather stay in a bloody ibis budget down the road! Thank you kindly for ruining our anniversary.

I have just stayed at the Hilton (Brighton) in a superior refurbished double family room. I was apprehensive due to some of the negative reviews however this hotel is excellent. Spotless swimming pool. Spacious clean rooms. Very modern interior. The staff are very professional and welcoming in the restaurant, check in desk and pool area. The breakfast is excellent. Large selection of food, cooked breakfast, fresh fruit and a pancake maker! I cannot fault this hotel one bit!!

We booked the room via Expedia. Rent was bit higher may be because of the long weekends. Our room was very clean, comfortable. It had everything we needed… electric kettle , hair dryer, coffee, hot chocolate and toiletries etc. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. They let you keep your luggage before checking in or even after you checking out. That bit really eased our travel. I would recommend the hotel anyone visiting broadstairs.

Bicester Hotel offers chic hotel accommodation, a luxury health club and spa, an 18 hole golf course, a comprehensive range of conference & banqueting facilities and equipment, free wi-fi throughout the premises, excellent restaurant to suit every taste and occasion and a sports bar showing all major sporting events.
An absolutely disappointing experience. I arrived at the hotel around 13.00 where I made a reservation for myself and my fiancée, where I could benefit from the services of the gym, spa plus a meal included. We were not told that the meal must be taken before 13.30!!! The moment we said we didn't want to eat before going to the gym or spa, we were treated in an absolutely disgusting way. We really felt like impostors! I asked for a solution because it is a hotel, we can find a way, and I had already paid for the services. The answer was short, "is not possible" I asked for a refound, and to give up their services, the same answer "is not possible, I'm not gonna give you a refund" After several attempts to find a solution we were able to receive a meal from which we had a £ 15 discount. With a little goodwill from the staff the scene would have been avoided and we would have spent the day in an absolutely wonderful way. Of course, after all the absolutely disappointing experience, the day was compromised and we could not enjoy it. Another aspect, my fiancée reserved for the manicure gel, believing that the services of a hotel are good. When she saw how it that person works, she did not want to finish because it was not the services he expected, she had to pay anyway, for absolutely nothing. Very disappointed customers service!!!! Never again!

Eastbourne Riviera Hotel is a modern 37 bedroom hotel on Eastbourne's elegant seafront. The hotel is well known for its international cuisine, stylish design & friendly staff.
I have stayed here several times over the years and had some bad experiences as well as average. I am being a little generous with my rating. One time a few years ago I had cleaners and one man shouting at me for checking out late (all in a foreign language) which is horrendous when you have stressful circumstances. I find the night porter grumpy which makes me feel uncomfortable. One time a Receptionist had a go at me about a food delivery I had not made but then she later apologised, especially after I told her about my experiences. She gave me a flower and a chocolate bar as an apology. I like the fact that there are board games to play (it would be good if they had a few more.) Unfortunately on this occasion I found a toe nail and I know it was NOT mine, made me feel sick but I didn't mention it!!! URGGGH The Hotel is not my type of Hotel and it has a clinical feel and looks like a Private Hospital. The bath is far too small, the toilet paper are sheets of paper from a dispenser like a public toilet and the side table is like a Hospital bed. Also the Bath towels are poor quality and grainy and small like Hospital towels with the blue strip! Erghhh.... uncomfortable on the skin! I needed the window open but whilst the door was locked, the draft made the door shudder. The green Fire alarm light also disturbed my sleep. I don't think the Hotel is value for money.
