Mahé boasts 65 silver beaches, plus an array of restaurants, cafés, bars and casinos in the tiny capital, Victoria. What could I possibly say that will encompass my experience at Anantara Maia from the rooms to the service to the staff amazing. My partner and I stayed 4 nights and everyone was so accommodating. I had to start a new paragraph to talk about Amita and Pasek, they were the stars of the vacation. Setting up our dining experiences and always being there when needed. They made us feel so comfortable and taken care of, they knew what we wanted before I even had to ask. So observant, that's 5 star experience. These two made my partner 40th birthday a dream come true. So warm and caring and going the extra mile for us. I will always remember those two and the time they gave us. When we come back we will definitely be asking for Amita and Pasek, the best of the best villa hosts. The staff member, Mike was so helpful with the canoe and providing us with what we need, so helpful and friendly. The spa experience as well as yoga was amazing. I was able to relax and get exercise. Finally, the GM Mathieu was amazing and so friendly, and went above and beyond. Exactly what you think a GM should be and he was that and so much more.

The hotel is in a very good location where the quiet life meets the luxury and on top of that the boys at Palmers ( the hotel bar ) make some amazing signature cocktails which is hard to stay away from . Recommend the whole experience and definitely recommend “diving” into the cocktail menu. ☺️

Ideally situated on the northwest corner of Mahé, on the ivory, sandy strip of Beau Vallon beach. STORY Seychelles is just 30 minutes drive away from Seychelles International Airport and 10 minutes away from the capital, Victoria. A handcrafted interpretation of elegance suffused with warmth, this intimate boutique resort is a natural representation of Seychellois authenticity, blended with modern comforts for the discerning guest. Located in Beau Vallon Beach one of the most luxurious neighbourhoods in the picturesque island of Mahè and has 3km of white sand beach and turquoise water is the only swimmable beach in Mahe all year round. Our Boutique Resort has a natural reef that you can reach swimming 50m directly from the beach. Tranquil, sustainable green certificated and culturally connected, not only by its Creole colonial architecture but also by Seychellois. Renowned for its azure turquoise oceans, crystal white beaches and lush emerald greenery – expect nothing but undisturbed views, charming creole hospitality, and a new height of indulgence at this paradise resort.
One of the reasons we booked Story for our honeymoon was the honeymoon package which was advertised on their website. There is nowhere on their website to select the honeymoon package when booking. I therefore emailed the hotel that we were on our honeymoon in advance of arrival. I then advised again that we we were on our honeymoon upon checking in. I was then left red faced and embarrassed in front of my new wife when, upon checking out, I was told that "the system" did not have the honeymoon package selected and I would have to pay full price for all the items listed as complimentary in the honeymoon package. Very disappointing.

This was my second visit to the amazing Silhouette Island. First time my children were with me, and this time was alone/partly with friends. Both times I have fallen in love with this amazing island. It has something for everyone. The resort was fully booked but it never felt the least crowded. I had my own private beach as I had a beach villa. My room attendant, Ajeet cleaned my room every morning and checked in on me every afternoon to make sure my stay was satisfying. He was so friendly, smiling and polite and had a good eye for details. The restaurants are all keeping good standard. Unfortunately the old Graan Kaz wasn’t open on my last visit but if you get a chance to go there it’s totally worth it to get a taste of Creole flavors. The buffétrestaurant Cafe Dauban also offers a Creole theme buffét on the beach with live music and dancing, fantastic! Don’t miss trying the coconut with Takamaka rum! Yammie! Also worth mentioning; the Tepaniaki is a spectacular show but the room service food was just a shy shadow of what the meals look like when you order them in the restaurants. The pool area is beautiful and a lot of primarily families with children hung out here all day. Additionally there is a tennis court, a padel court, a giant chess game, a spa, water sports and shops to enjoy when you need a break from the sunbed. I, however, have fallen in love with the gorgeous nature in the Seychelles and made hikes around the island to find enchanting forests, secluded beaches, giant rocks on the beach, turtle beaches, and historical remains from locals. To sum it all up; I was spoilt rotten on Silhouette Island Hilton Labriz and can’t wait ’til the next time I get to visit this little gem.

Beau Vallon revels in its authentic seaside vibe and endless white sandy beaches that encourage swimming, scuba diving, snorkeling and other water sports. Sumptuous champagne breakfasts are served at the Grand Savoy Restaurant outdoor terrace overlooking the hotel's tropical gardens. For lunch, we recommend stopping by the Pescado gourmet restaurant. The freshest fish and seafood are delivered to the restaurant kitchen every morning directly from the ocean to be on your plate the same day. In the evening, choose between themed buffet dinners at the Grand Savoy, a romantic poolside dinner at Pescado or tropical cocktails at the Gecko Bar where you can enjoy the sunset over the ocean. The hotel is an excellent starting point for exploring the island. It’s also a perfect choice for beach and family holidays, wedding ceremonies, private and business events.
Service very slow, I have asked 4 times for a bottle of water. After being pissed, they served me a salad with a hair in it. Worst experiemce of my life. I would never suggest something like this to anyone especially if you are on holydays and you want to have top service.

The island itself with miles of white powdery beaches is nearly perfect. Madame Zabre beach is the most perfect beach that we’ve ever been to and is never crowded. The Four Seasons staff are always friendly and quickly learned our routine so it wasn’t long before they knew what we wanted without even having to ask. The villa with the private pool was wonderful. This would have been our favorite resort in the world if it weren’t for the average food and astronomically high food prices that make the food a very poor value. For example, a hamburger at lunch is over $50 USD, a can of Coke at dinner is over $12 USD, the cheapest steak on the menu is a Strip Steak from Poland for $115 USD, and bottles of wine start in the $150 USD range and go up from there. Due to this, if we had eaten like we normally do, the food bill would have equaled or exceeded our room rate each day. Fortunately we knew how overpriced the wine was in advance so we stopped at the Seychelles Duty Free store between immigration and customs and purchased good quality wine for the entire trip at 7 euros per bottle. We also purchased snacks there as the $35 small jar of gummy bears in the mini bar mentioned in a prior review is accurate. Four Seasons ended up charging a 30 euro per bottle corking fee per bottle of wine but it still saved us a huge amount. Breakfast was included in our room rate and was a good size buffet so we ate a lot at breakfast and then skipped lunch. At dinner, instead of our normal four courses, we just got entrees (dinner still cost over $100 USD for two people with some of the cheaper entrees despite this). We’ve been to Four Seasons Bora Bora and Four Seasons Maldives and the food there was better and not so outrageously priced. The island itself and the service are worth the room rate. I just wish the food was better and wasn’t double the price that it should be. On prior review responses, the manager has made excuses about the cost of importing food, but our high quality German Riesling purchased at the Seychelles airport cost 7 euros versus a similar wine at Four Seasons costing about twenty times as much so I don’t think that is an adequate excuse. The food is priced so high simply because they think they can charge that amount as there is no alternative option on Desroches Island.
