We had a really nice stay. The property is well kept and the staff was friendly. It's central to wine tasting and other central coast activities. The dinner in their restaurant was good, although my filet was a bit overcooked for my taste. They replaced it without a fuss. Service was excellent and the location can't be beat.

Lovely hotel, with amazing views. When we booked it said room had partial sea view. View was simply stunning, particularly at sun set. Staff were really helpful as well. Nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend. My photos simply do not do hotel justice.

We enjoyed hearing the sound of the ocean at night. The staff was great, helpful and friendly. We were very happy to find a refrigerator, coffee maker and microwave tucked in closet corner. We will definitely stay there our next trip!

Close to Route 101 when visiting Hearst Castle (about 1 hour North), this is a good place to stay and eat. Rooms fairly standard, clean and comfortable. Lovely gardens with fires, overlook the bay. Have to say that dinner was delicious, well priced and great service. We both loved our dinner, outside and overlooking the sea.

Why stay near the beach when you can stay on the beach? One of the best features of our Pismo Beach hotel is the oceanfront address, as well as our central location just steps from the Pismo Beach Pier, downtown restaurants, and Oceano Dunes - the only place in California where you can drive on the beach! Enjoy bold, beach vibes during your stay at our oceanfront hotel in Pismo Beach, where you can slip into relaxation mode from the moment you arrive, flip flops optional.
The room at first glance was great - large, clean, airy, room to move around, etc. Bed was comfortable, windows gave a cross-breeze, air conditioner worked. On second glance, I had some questions: 1) why does the toilet feel like it's from an elementary school? Very low to the ground, nothing to grab onto. 2) shower floor tile is an accident waiting to happen. If you don't use the rubber mat, which is stored under the wash basin, or put down a hand towel, you are going to slip and find yourself unable to get back up with no safety rails nearby. 3) great little coffee maker. Why is the only wastebasket located in the bathroom, 20 feet away? I think some designer got the vibe correct, but the practicalities were overlooked.

This was a fantastic experience. Be sure to be there to see the sunset. Great location, very spacious rooms. Even had a fire. Extremely friendly staff. I would urge anyone to stay here, such a fantastic find, half way between Carmel and Santa Barbara

Welcome to the Cottage Inn by the Sea - a Pismo Beach hotel inspired by the English countryside. Nestled in a scenic oceanfront location with spectacular views, our charming architecture is set against the dramatic backdrop of the lapping waves and golden bluffs of the great Pacific Ocean. Here, guests of our relaxing ocean view hotel in Pismo Beach can select from 80 ocean or garden view hotel rooms with cozy fireplaces, flat-screen TVs, and ocean or garden views.
This is a quaint oceanfront boutique hotel just minutes away from the Pismo Beach Pier. It’s well maintained & has a nice area to walk the beach & enjoy a fire pit by the ocean. By only issue was that I assumed for $450/night an Oceanfront Queen would have a balcony. Small windows looking out at the beach was a bit underwhelming.
