Paphos, the capital of western Cyprus, has some serious historical clout. Site of the vast fourth-century BC Tombs of the Kings, set high on a cliff above the sparkling sea, as well as a dramatic Byzantine castle and fine mosaics, it's also known as the birthplace of the goddess Aphrodite. The population of 27,000 is swelled by a summer influx of beach-bound English, German and Scandinavian visitors. A beautiful old harbor awaits, while modern hotels and restaurants stretch along the promenade.

We stayed in room 4107 overlooking entrance, very good, no problem with noise and good side sea view. All aspects of the holiday were perfect, staff so good, food excellent, accommodation, cleanliness excellent. I could go on extolling all the positives but I will just say you will find it difficult to fault this hotel

A sincere welcome awaits at Annabelle, a family-run oasis set within six acres of lush gardens on Paphos' Mediterranean sea front. Four restaurants and five bars showcase seasonal produce, delicate local wines and traditional Cypriot charm, with live music almost every night of the week. Glittering waterfalls reflect the tantalising blue of the Mediterranean; swaying palms slow life to a blissful pace and languid days roll into leisurely nights with impeccable ease... Welcome to Annabelle: luxury for the soul.
This is a beautiful hotel, situated close to the harbour and shops in Paphos. Three beautiful pools with plenty of sun beds and several restaurants - due to events that occurred during our stay we only used the main Fontana buffet restaurant but the food was fresh, good quality, tasty and varied. However, what really sets this hotel apart from any we have stayed at is it’s team of fabulous staff. My husband had to be hospitalised during our stay, and it was here that the staff really shone - I was supported every step of the way with practical help and advice but far more importantly emotional support and reassurance whenever I was struggling - every member of staff really cared, even the lovely doorman who went out of his way to give me some magazines to take to my husband in hospital - so thoughtful. Special mentions here to Marilena, Chrystylla and Valentina, Andreas in the dining room, Nikki and the Reception team, our lovely housekeeper who phoned for help when it was needed and Megan the duty manager who sat with me on my birthday when I was struggling - Megan you and your fabulous team helped more than you will know and I’m so grateful to you. So, if you want a gorgeous hotel in a perfect location, with lovely staff who will go that extra mile then this is the place for you - I really can’t recommend it highly enough. The only slight downside is the rooms in the Apollo wing are quite close to a loud bar which plays loud music till late. However, I think if we had been able to enjoy the nightlife as we usually do when away we probably wouldn’t have noticed it.

Stylish hotel, with a feeling of luxury inside and out. Beautiful pools, plenty of options for eating in or out, with the walkway to the harbour and local restaurants and shops on the doorstep. Staff go the extra mile and nothing was too much trouble for them. We tried the spa, also excellent.

Really enjoyed our stay. Here for a Wedding. Hotel & location are great. Comfy beds & airy rooms. Delicious food. Special thanks to chef Stellios & his team especially Zacharoula & Maria for the yummy desserts. Manager Mario took care of our needs as did all the staff. Always very helpful & polite . Lots to do for people with young families . even a mini disco every nught. Only niggle is that the pool towels come from the Spa & it only opens at 10 am..little late for early risers. One pool bar opens at 10am the other at 11am..again little late for people with families. Enjoyed the pools & entertainment with Aislin & all the Animation team... All in all a great holiday. Thank you Geri & Angelo Martinoli

This is classified as 4 star, yet, at most, it would be a camping site. Sure the location and views are amazing, but nothing else is. Cold greeting by a hostile receptionist who just gave us the key and showed us the direction of our room. Our room had two single beds. When I called her to inform her that they were two single beds and we’d requested a large one, we were told there weren’t any. My husband told her that in that case we’d like to check out. She just responded with an “OK”. When I called to ask how the refund would be made, her response was “I don’t know...you didn’t pay ME”. She hung up on me as I was speaking. Someone from reservations then called and offered us a room with a large bed. Why wasn’t the receptionist willing to offer it, and why was she so “OK” with us leaving?? We accepted as we didn’t want to waste time on our holiday. The room we were shown to was FILTHY. I cannot even begin to describe the state of the furniture (with suspicious streaks and body oils) the disgusting toilet, and the oily fingerprints on walls and doors and cupboards. The bed had no comforter, just a sheet and bedspread. No coffee maker, no room service, nothing. The rude lady at the reception said housekeeping is done every other day (never ever heard of they at a 4 star) they only made the bed. Hair all over the floor. When I complained the next day, they sent a housekeeper who wanted to do it immediately because she wanted to go home. She grumbled to my daughter about the fact that “housekeeping is good”. It was mot. It was super disgusting and hygiene a zero. Pool opened late and you couldn’t get towels early morning. Breakfast we couldn’t even stomach trying it, even though it was included with our room. We figured that if they skimped so much on their hygiene, we wouldn’t want to eat there. This has to be the most cold, dreary, run down and dirty hotel we’ve ever stayed at. Hint: hire lovely, sweet friendly Cypriots...I mean, it’s Cyprus after all!

The recently renovated Vrachia Beach Resort is a tourist resort situated in magnificent surroundings, built on its own peninsula, in a majestic location between Pafos and the well-known Coral Bay, one of the most famous beaches in town. Near the village of Kissonerga and approximately 10 minutes from the town centre and the picturesque harbour of Pafos, Vrachia Resort offers the tranquility and comfort to make you feel at home. Marked by an exceptional combination of modern style, impeccable service and friendly environment, the hotel features superior accommodation in studios and one bedroom apartments, numerous facilities and a sophisticated ambiance, all enhanced with superb views of the Mediterranean Sea.
My wife and I have just returned to UK after spending 3 very enjoyable weeks in this resort which we found via Jet2 Holidays. We had not visited Cyprus previously so did not know the island or its environment. We opted for a self-catering studio apartment with sea view and were delighted with the balcony overlooking the sea and the facilities available in the apartment, whilst we do not cook when on holiday we do sometimes in the evening like to sit on the balcony and enjoy a light meal of cooked meat and salad items with a bottle of wine. The resort is adults only which suits us being retired and having already done our bit for the future of the world! The apartment had a comprehensive number of appliances and was serviced daily to a very high standard. The on site restaurant offered a wide range of dishes and on the 2 occasions we ate there was good quality. The staff were courteous and helpful. We will probably go her again and heartily recommend Vrachia.

Stayed here for a week with the Mrs and 11 year old lad. Having seen a few negative reviews, was a little bit nervous about what we would find - needn’t have worried! Lovely hotel with a waterpark which is ideal for anyone with kids 2 - 15. We enjoyed the food and as all inclusive, the beer/spirits were in plentiful supply. Yes, there are bits which could do with a bit of TLC, but after 2 years of Covid restrictions it still looks great in the main. About a 5min walk to the main ‘strip’ leading down to Coral Bay beach - which is a further 10 minute walk (although i was underwhelmed with the beach). Paphos harbour (beautiful) is about 25 mins on the bus which runs from Coral Bay. 2 pools at the hotel. I would definitely return to this hotel

Next to the historic Tombs of the Kings, it offers a variety of spacious high quality one, two and three bedroom suites, all encompassing a contemporary light modern decor that captures the Mediterranean spirit. All suits are designed to offer a unique home away from home experience of comfort and luxury. Other services include restaurants and bars, Spa and Bath House, gymnasium & fitness center, beautician and hairdressing salon, squash, indoor and outdoor swimming pools. Opens on 1 August 2008.
For a luxurious hotel, the receiptionist and her supervisor don’t care about their clients. You come with an issue and they never have anything to suggest. The hotel allegedly offers a free transfer but at the arrival we wait 45 min for the transfer and if you are 5 min late when he comes at the hotel he doesn’t wait and the hotel doesn’t care and yells at their own clients. Too bad for this awful service and client management for a beautiful hotel

Helios Bay Hotel is located on the beach between Coral bay and Tombs of the King.
We loved it here and found great time the relax and hang out as a family while enjoying what the hotel had to offer us. Excellent Location on the coast with the beach a short walk down the path, and a fabulously scenic walk along the coastal footpath to explore. there are amazing views of the sea and the mountains from the pool and outdoor restaurant. The hotel lobby is functional and has definitely got its own unique character. Like that of a well established family run business. The accommodation is adequate and modest yet modern with a mixture of hotel apartments and Villas. All very clean and comfortable and practical. TV was never used in our villa, the Villas are very private with a small back yard for sun loungers and drying towels, these are located to the West side of the hotel and pool. Excellent pool for families to play and cool down in. really friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Many nationalities mixing and getting to know each other (if they want) mainly through the kids playing together. beautiful pool & outdoor restaurant with impeccable sea views and good selection of tasty food. Local shop and restaurants near by with Coral bay strip and Paphos town a short trip on the bus in opposite directions. Really refreshing stay invigorated by the sunshine and relaxing pool and hotel amenities. i can't express how surprised, delighted and happy we were to have chosen this hotel for our 2nd visit in Cyprus.
