This resort is such a miracle…i always dreamt about this place and it finally came true. And it was much better than i expected. Their food is just superb and really - you get what you pay for and with superb service. Big plus is that they can accomodate glutenfree and their knowledge is…just wow and i have to admit, i didn’t expected it. I will always recommend this place ( villa7 and 8) to all my friends and family. Their buffalos are so cute and well cared. I think i will leave my heart here. ❤️❤️❤️

The resort is located 20km from Chiang Mai on the edge of the sleepy farming village of Huai Sai. We have three convenience stores in the village, one restaurant and a beautiful temple. We built the resort in the middle of the rice fields near the main entrance road to the village. We have two working rice fields in the middle of the resort and we are surrounded by beautiful nature. Locally we have many major tourist attractions, some within just a 5 minute cycle (or motorbike) ride on flat country roads. We have staff to assist us with various duties from looking after the extensive grounds to cooking and cleaning. We pride ourselves on our attention to detail and our customer focused attitudes.
We loved every minute at this beautiful resort. Very peaceful atmosphere. The room was clean and comfortable. The hosts - Ying and Peter were welcoming, informative and kind. Ying prepared delicious and healthy meals. Peter was an excellent bartender. This wonderful place was 30 minutes from Chiang Mai, but a world away. It was tranquil. We shall return!

We had the privilege of visiting Howie’s Homestay with our daughter and son-in-law, Terri and Greg, which had been their longtime dream. It was even better than any of us had imagined! We were warmly greeted at the entrance by Howie as he toured us all around this beautifully landscaped mystical paradise with winding pathways, bridges, ponds, and authentic Thai accents throughout. The rustic teak architecture of the home and suites were simply stunning. The gorgeous kitchen/dining room overlooked the far end of a large infinity pool where we could see the beautiful countryside with long-range mountain views just beyond the property. Since only one group/family at a time visits, we had the whole place to ourselves, which was very peaceful and relaxing. Howie’s extremely talented wife, Jerri, made us the tastiest and most artful Thai meals from scratch. We are quite sure she could even teach celebrity chefs a few lessons in both flavor and food art. We enjoyed the interesting and fun conversations with Howe and Jerri as they joined us for some meals. Their hospitality was incredible. Howie takes the time to find in advance what types of activities guests might want to enjoy during the visit. He customized and planned every single detail so that all our time spent was simply relaxing and enjoying the area. Eddy, the customized tour guide and driver, was a pleasure to be with and very knowledgeable about the area. With our welcoming gestures, we even got to enjoy little visits from our furry friends, Gigi and Deedee, as they made their daily rounds. Overall, we would rate this experience off the scale and words cannot describe this magical and charming treasure called “Howie’s Homestay”. Gene and Kimberly Hatfield

Majority of property is for retired ex pats and dementia . Medical staff nothng more than local villagers in uniforms. Whole place is a scam and not safe. Local Monk at Temple was beaten to death! We Could not eat at restaurant as loud music and rude elderly women who live there so abnoxious. Elders that live there many ifmthem looked scared. Local told us because they have moved here from other countries no family nearby to help them and they - villagers in uniforms use scare tactics.Generator used to block communication and our FB head page was changed from ourmpersonalmohoto to a Mai Rim photo. SCAM! English guy who is Owner Manager is being investigated by USA Legal Team and military!

I was especially excited about staying at Jirung for a recent workshop I was participating in. The initial correspondences were very helpful and the staff seemed very capable of accommodating everything the group needed, including accomodations, dietary restrictions, and some of the delicate components of hosting a large group. While my room was actually very comfortable and a pleasure to stay in, the astronomical cost of the room per night was a huge turnoff, (more than all the 5 star hotels in Chiang Mai for the dates of my stay.) Chiang Mai is so affordable, and paying almost $120 per night at a "discounted group rate" is just offensive for me given the complete non-existence of any form of concierge or star quality to the hospitality. I stayed in similar accomodations in Chiang mai for around 1/12th of the cost, don't get scammed by these prices. The restaurant on the property is a joke, absolutely ridiculous, as if all the employees were pulled off of the street and asked to work in an industry they don't understand and are downright terrible at, I have never experienced such disrepair in management and capacity from a restaurant before. They would consistently take 5 trips to bring the right bill with the right balances, constantly added things to the bill that weren't ordered, would include meat in vegetarian items, and when we pointed out that some individuals couldn't eat meat they would remove the chunks of meat from the dish and just bring it right back, pricing was different then what was listed on the menu and then they would refuse to honor the listed prices because these were "old menus", no concern for the health and wellness of their clients at a wellness center, absolutely laughable service, aweful awful awful! We stopped eating here after a few nights and elected to go to the 4 seasons next door to actually receive a meal from people who know what they are doing, and the pricing for the restaurant was higher than the #1 ranked restaurant on TripAdvisor, yet the only bad meals I had in thailand were while staying at Jirung. Numerous people, myself included, had numerous ant infestations in the "villas", and the workshop space smelled like cat urine because they have numerous cats on the grounds that wander freely. Supposedly the space was cleaned each day however a deep clean would be helpful to avoid the pungent aroma of cat urine, and this was workshop space on the first floor of the Thippamon Ashram, it just felt like the people working here had no respect for the customers or the job they were doing, and certainly weren't using the money we were spending to honor the space and care for the temple space. I would not recommend staying here, Everywhere else I have stayed in thailand was a better experience!

Natural Luxury boutique resort which is the perfect for private romantic honeymoon. The Resort lies on the sloping bank of a mountain stream in the verdant Chiangmai highland. Mountain water cascades over boulders in the stream, creating tiered waterfalls right below the Modern-Lanna-style guest cottages and offers the blissful experiences of close-to-nature living, that will remain a cherished memory for a lifetime.
I had a bit doubt before going to this place. At the beginning, I planned to stay over night for change but ended up having lunch in case disappointing as usual. Landscape is astonishing with beautiful waterfall and plenty of cute ducks running around. I ordered 4 dishes with fried noodle (Phad thai). All had flavor especially Phad thai look appetite and yes it is. Staff is friendly and smiling made my day better than expected. Scenery changed due to sunny day then heavy rain later. So far so good and there is nothing to complain about from previous review that I have read and doubt. There is no one during this pandemic but might be crowded during holiday I guess. Thanks for staff, cook as they made my day and worth a visit for 40 kms drive from home.

We had our wedding at Kangsadarn Resort. A beautiful location next to the waterfall. All staff went out of their way to make sure we had a great day, although most of the staff spoke no English, we were always greeted with a friendly smile. Dinner after the wedding at the restaurant was excellent! The rooms were a little tired looking however. Location next to the waterfall was lovely but rooms could definitely do with an upgrade.

Friendly staff; clean rooms; lovely gardens; great Thai food; good wifi You need transport or be happy to use the free bicycles. I had an amazing two days cycling back roads and seeing real Thailand Make/take your own entertainment as there are no English channels on the TV Western breakfast choices were disappointing for the size of the hotel There never seemed to be any other guests there and it was Chinese New Year To summarise, a bit strange really!?

We walked in, loved the place and decided to stay, got a very lovely room, overlooking the pond. Breakfast was good, but when asked for dinner, just simple PadThai, came out disappointed. We stayed here for one night only, would like to stay longer but manager refused to take credit card, Scanned by phone to debit cash through bank only, Ok, we went ahead and paid for one night because the manager pretended the Credit card machine was not working. Well, next time we will book through booking company. . I would rate this resort a 5 stars if the manager did not pretend the Credit Card machine was not working. I know, when guests pay by credit card, the resort has to pay % to the credit card company, But keep in mind, that is the service you should provide to your guest.
