Anjuna is among the most famous beaches in India. Popularly known for its Hippie culture, most people's reasons for coming to Anjuna are the same as they were in the 1970s. On Wednesdays, the famous flea market of Anjuna, a major shopping hangout beside the beach, opens for business. Bathing is generally safer at Anjuna than at most of the other beaches. Taking long walks and watching sunsets are among the favorite pastimes of visitors at Anjuna. Anjuna has emerged as a destination for rave parties and that take place over here from time to time, especially around the Christmas-New Year full moon period.

The hotel is a good place to stay in Anjuna. As you enter the premises, you are welcomed with a big lawn, having some beautiful places to get your clicked. A telephone booth, a huge metal cage, a swing add to the beauty of the lawn. The rooms are small, but neat. Room services good, food nice. Swimming pool is great. It's is about a 10-15 min walk to Anjuna.

Casa Anjuna is set amongst a tropical paradise of lush palms and flowers including the local alpino flower which we have used for our logo. The beautiful swimming pool is the perfect spot to relax and soak up the sunshine, or cool off after a trip to the famous flea market. It is walking distance to the beach and some of Anjuna's best eateries. For the convenience of our guests, we also have a Conference Room, Massage room, Badminton court, Pool Table and a very spacious private parking area.
Casa Anjuna is located in Anjuna, a 10-min walk from Anjuna beach. The whole facility looks like a jewel box. Lush vegetation, stylish accommodation and really friendly and caring staff. You need to ask for daily cleaning and they will cordially do so. Breakfast is abundant, different every day, local specialities. Dinner offer is great (Indian, Chinese, Thai, English) and their Asian Hot Pot is unbeatable. Staff are without exception very friendly and helpful. Always smiling and offering their best. If you want to go out for a day, ask for driver Jojo or Malcolm. They will show you around for the best of North Goa. Note: for them North Goa is divided into North and South of North Goa. So if you wish to visit the geographic South Goa, you must be very specific as it is a good 2-3 hours drive from the hotel. Rooms with pool view are the best.

Hotel Bougainvillea, also known as Granpa's Inn, was renovated from a 200 year old Portuguese - styled Goan mansion, with a pleasant blend of old world charm & modern comforts. You will enjoy the expanse of our quiet & cool natural age old gardens which conveys an aura of serenity & tranquility. It's a perfect place for a Goan holiday not too far away from the beaches but an oasis of calm from the busy nightlife of Goa. Granpa’s Inn is a family run business since 1988.
Grandpa's Inn is well spread out with a lot of open space - garden, trees and a pool in the center. On the main Anjuna road, yet it was quiet in our poolside rooms. The rooms were quite spacious and functional. Need some improvements to make them better - a better & comfortable chair in the rooms, ensure TV coverage and AC remotes are working etc. Staff service quality is excellent and very friendly - always smiling and ready to help. Most of them have been around for quite a few years and mentioned that they were taken care during the entire Cpvid related lockdown (a big shout out for Betina). Food options (incl breakfast) is limited but whatever we ate (vegetarian) was cooked very well and so no complaints. Javed (manager) was friendly but needs to ensure that his service commitments are met (TV remote, TV). Betina responded to all our queries and requests. I was very happy to note that they replied to every email I sent - that is not common nowadays. Tariffs were very reasonable and definitely value for money (we did a direct booking) We only wish that Anjuna beach was within walking distance as we did not feel like walking 2.5+ km each way. Definitely worth a 2nd visit

We were a party of 4, we had booked 4 nights to stay here, 2 female friends and a couple. On arrival all was nice. We went to the beach drinks returned to chat outside our rooms on the ground floor. 3 guys were also staying, they kept harassing us and trying to join us which we decline. My friend and myself went to bed in our room, our friends were next door. We had a knock at our door and it was one of these guests he forced himself into the room and pushed my friend against the wall, she pushed him out, he then came back and did it again. I started screaming and

Poonam Village Resort promises a lot, but does not deliver. The rooms are not up to the mark, they're unclean and the place has lots of mosquitoes. The pool is not regularly cleaned and the place constantly seeps water. The behavior of the staff was not up to the mark to add on the misery. You can skip this place should you want a more comfortable place to crash in.

Stayed there for three days. The owners live in the same property and I must say Reema and her husband are very welcoming, warm and polite. The place is decent. There might be some minor issues but you might would want to overlook them because of the warmth provided by the owners of this property. Great job guys !!!

It is in the remotest of places. On Google Maps it shows as 5 mins walking distance from Anjuna Beach. That was the reason for my booking. Parking is at a different place altogether. You will have to carry your luggage from a jungle track for a good 5 mins to reach the entrance of the hotel. By the way, you will not be able to see the hotel from the parking as you will have pass zig zag through houses to reach the gate. Filled in the register, provided the ID Proofs and paid the amount through Credit Card. Hold this thought for now. We will visit this thread at the end. When we reached, there was no electricity. The guide sheet mentions 'High Speed fan in case of no electricity'. Forget high, forget speed. Fan just spins as much that you can count the spots on the blades. Top of it, the regulator is broken. See the attached pictures. As per info, electricity was not there since morning. It returned within 2 hours after we checked-in the afternoon. There is no power backup for AC. The intercom does not work. So for any order you either go to the reception or call them on thier mobile. Remember the mobile network is non-existent. So you will def have to walkout each time. Bed had insects on it. Ants on the side table. Check the attached pictures. We requested for a cleanup. Bathroom has no latch and is just next to bed. It neither is soundproof nor closes enough to make you comfortable. No toiletries but there was this frog trying to make his way out of the bathroom. When we checked-in, we noticed the hotel owner arguing with a group. Apparently the bathroom glass was cracked before the group checked in. And it broke as soon as the female tried to use washroom. Owner was adamant to recover the full amount of the glass and the repair charges from this group. There were some heated discussion between the owner and the group. Something that made us uncomfortable. This was my first visit to Anjuna so thought the beach is what we should think of before judging. 5 mins walk from the beach shack. Yes it is, only if you are ok with walking through a jungle track. At night this 5 min road is pitch black, atleast when I came back from the beach shack. When we came back, the electricity was missing again and it was total darkness. If someone was standing infront of you, in the garden background, you wouldn't notice. We decided to check-out. We booked another hotel instantly. We raised a cancellation request through Booking.com. We were told by Booking.com that Curlies had denied full refund and we would have to pay for single night stay. That amount was worth checking out of the hotel. The checkout experience was even worse. The receptionist guy is the only one that knows the process. The owner requested us to wait till he returns. That guy returned in an hour during which time we sat in total darkness. The receptionist returned and I asked him to cancel our booking and for refund we had already raised it to Booking.com. He said that I do not have to do anything. We walked out through the pitch black dark jungle route to parking to get the cab. We checked out thinking that the worse was over. However, yesterday I found the amount was not refunded and upon investigating along with Booking.com, found that the Credit Card was swiped on a different POS machine at the hotel which is not in their name and now they are denying that I even paid. I have transaction details which does not have the hotel name in the narration. Booking.com is unable to help and have asked me to raise a dispute with the bank to get the machine details. Now i am entangled in this mess.
