Ko Chang means “Elephant Island,” and indeed, if you’d like an up-close-and-personal encounter with the world’s largest land mammal, you can do that here—you can even swim with them at Ban Kwan Chang, an elephant preserve recommended by TripAdvisor travelers. In the past few years, the island has experienced a huge boom in tourism, so new hotels and restaurants abound.

We are here for a short vacation trip but luckily that the resort is empty as people are heading to BKK prior to my stay, the location is really great I got a beachfront room :) so can only lay down in front of the room all day.

Our idyllic resort is perfectly located in the centre of Koh Chang's famous White Sand Beach .Ideal for those who love sea, sand and glorious sunsets, Koh Chang Grand View Resort offers seaside relaxation and swimming in the calm tropical. Sunbathe under the coconut palms or go for a sunset stroll along the beach. Take a dip with all the family in our large free form swimming pool.
Almost everything was perfect. Incredibly friendly staff; all of them, great accommodation, comfy bed, decent TV channels, fabulous breakfast delivered to my bungalow, lovely pool, nice grounds and local to the centre. The reason for giving 4 not 5 is the wifi is poor, air-con is moderate to poor and the beach access is unavailable for a lot of the time due to the tide and also there are a number of rocks to negotiate before reaching the main beach. I will certainly stay again and will look no further than here next time I am in Whitesands. Highly recommended.

Little Eden Bungalows & Restaurant welcomes guests to enjoy the chilled and rustic atmosphere on the hillside near lonely beach. Our bungalows are spacious with comfortable beds, hot shower, safety box, mosquito net, fan and a private bathroom and all have a balcony with a hammock perfect for lazy hazy days, our A/C Cottages offer you a bit more Luxury, they are more spacious and have a fridge and Cable TV too. Our restaurant serves mouth watering Thai and Western food, or you can just hang out with a Singha or two! Take a walk down the hill and through the village and you are at lonely beach! The Penthouse is something special, no a/c but has also a thatched roof to keep it cool, a spacious room for couples, a small group or a small family.
Had a fantastic time staying in little Eden. It was lovely to live amongst nature and hear the sounds of the jungle having come from the centre of Bangkok. As an added bonus we even got to see some monkeys engaging in some monkey business on the premises. The owner David is a great host and generously provides water refills.

We were in Ko Chang for a few days longer than originally planned and needed to find accommodation, we were recommended by a guy in a local bar to look at chokdee, however we read all the reviews and were put off but couldn’t find anything else in budget that ticked our boxes so we went to see the man at chokdee and asked to look in one of the new bungalows, he was obliging and we did and then negotiated a good price The new bungalows are great, spacious and very clean and with good aircon and a big fridge and as they are only a year or two old haven’t got stale or fusty and the mastic in the bathroom is still the colour it’s meant to be If you are going to chokdee make sure that you get a B series bungalow, they are the new ones and only a few yards from the beach Don’t bother with breakfast their though it’s a bit ropey and there are plenty of better alternatives a short walk along the beach

The hotel is far from everything and sort of in the middle of no where. Though the resort backs onto the ocean there is no sand beach, just rocks. The pool is small. The cabins have a slight ant problem and the water heater only heats the water slightly. Also the staff is nowhere to be found.

We had a very pleasant stay here, the bungalows are set back from the road so had a peaceful night's sleep. The location is about 10 minutes walk to White Sands main street and beach. The rooms are clean and the air con is quite and efficient, the bed is on the firm side but is large and comfortable. Breakfast was generous with a large pot of coffee or tea, melon to start with and fully cooked English, comprising of 2 fried eggs, 2 toast, bacon and ham and sausages. Staff are very helpful and friendly offering information and booking tours and travel arrangements if required. There is a lockable cupboard in the room for valuables and a very large fridge. We enjoyed our stay and would come back.

A very nice and quiet place to stay if you are passing in Koh Chang. It is close to a couple restaurants. Nothing much around in the night but with a just 1 minute bike ride you are in the middle of a small nightlife place. The place is superchill and quiet, immersed in the nature. Highly recommended!

We had previously had terrific food here and the chefs were great. Had no issues with food or staff BUT the owner is a very rude and arrogant Frenchman. When we had waited over an hour for food, someone who had come in after us was given their food and were told the kitchen was “starting our order” we opted to pay for our beer and leave. At no time were we told to expect a long wait and given no apologies. When we stated we were not happy and our reasons, his response was to aggressively state “you’re just tourists, we won’t miss you when you go” Felt sorry for his staff and believe he should stay out of the restaurant.
