Laid-back, low-profile Honduras is one of Central America's largely unknown tourist destinations. A recent proliferation of domestic flights has opened up the Bay Islands and the major cities of La Ceiba, Tegucigalpa and San Pedro Sula. Buses, taxis and dug-out canoes provide other transport options. The Maya city of Copan is a UNESCO-designated heritage site with a ball court, an Acropolis and a Hieroglyphic Stairway. Other sights include El Cusuco National Cloud Forest Park, home to quetzal birds.

"Casa de Paradise" is centrally located in the heart of West Bay Beach, less than 50 yards from the waters edge plus having exclusive use of our private beach. Each unit has its own unique personality and charm. All rentals have hot water, air-conditioning, cable TV, free Wi-Fi, BBQ in common area, in-room safe, beach chairs, beach towels and kayaks.
The BEST property for price and proximity to the beach!?? Security 24/7 Location is premium! At the quiet end of West Bay beach! Great to have the dive shop right there! We took our coffee and sat on the Gorgeous beach by 6:30 a.m. Will tell all our friends ? Thanks Tom and Andrea

We spent 2 weeks in paradise! The house is more even beautiful than the pictures. We have been staying in vacation rentals for the last 25 years and Seagrove Retreat is one of the top homes in our book. I say "home" because it feels like home from the moment you walk in. Every amenity you could need, tons of personal touches and designed with the view in mind. The screened porch off the master bedroom offers a panoramic view and the wrap around deck on the main floor is set up to provide outdoor living at it's best. The pool is large and well maintained and there is an optional gate to keep little ones from wandering into the pool area. The stairs are a little intimidating but Tommy and Franklin carry all of your luggage to and from the car. ( For this reason only, I would not recommend this property for those with mobility issues) The dock is a great place to fish (gear provided), we caught snapper, and allows for easy pick up by water taxi or dive boat. Kayaks are provided and the bay is always calm. The caretaker and manager, Tommy and Franklin were the perfect hosts! Franklin met us at the airport, helped to get our luggage and made sure we didn't have any issues with our rental car (highly recommend 4WD). He then led us to Eldons, the major grocery store, and on to the house. We were met by Tommy who with Franklin, carried all of our luggage and our groceries down to the house. We were given a tour and then left to unwind and relax. They checked back the next morning to see if we had any questions and were always available with a smile if we needed anything. They were amazing! We generally cooked at home but did go to Cal's Cantina and Romeo's in French Harbor - both were very good. Highly recommend this home for your next holiday!

We didn't stay overnight, so can't speak about the rooms. The grounds were beautiful and we had a great lunch - the best we had in Honduras! We definitely recommend a stop here. We also had the privilege of birding with the owner Alex who knew all he spots for our targets! So glad we came here!

New 31-foot swim pool and gazebo. Beautiful one bedroom, one bath waterfront boathouse located at picturesque Caribe Point Bight on Roatan's south shore. Large great room with fully equipped kitchen and outdoor deck with a hammock. New queen bed with a rollaway for additional guests. Fantastic swimming, diving, snorkeling and fishing with the Caribbean Sea at your door! Our low rate includes a kayak for each person, wifi, cell phone and satellite TV. We have NO hidden fees or extra charges - no cleaning fee, no electricity surcharge.
This boathouse was once a nice place, but it has not been maintained. As with houses in the Caribbean, the salt water/air takes its tole on everything; this is understandable. But nothing has been done to keep deterioration at bay. The tile throughout the house has lost a majority of the grout and are cracking; the fridge door handle is gone; the sliding glass doors need some lubricant to help them work; the bathroom faucets leak really bad and have wash cloths wrapped around them; there is one light bulb in the bedroom, the outdoor grill is basically unusable in a house built of wood. Thankfully there are now screen doors for the patio doors otherwise there would be NO breeze and the house gets very, very hot during the day with the sun beating directly in the sliding doors. There’s an air conditioner in the bedroom and you definitely need it when the wind dies down at night. Be aware that there are 114 steps down the steep hill to carry your luggage and any provisions you bring back to the house. There is an electronic gate in front of the driveway to the house but Dennis won’t let you drive down there to drop off your luggage. On a daily basis, the steps are not a big deal but the luggage thing after a long travel day is a definite negative. The snorkeling in the bight itself is non-existent because even on a calm day there’s no clarity; the bottom is all muck and silt thereby making for zero clarity. Once you get out to the bight entrance, it’s much better. But days calm enough to go out there are few. The positive things are great kayaks for your use, comfortable couches and a great working fridge. The final straw for me is when I found out there’s a camera under the house where the owner (Dennis) watches everything you do when you’re under there accessing the kayaks, etc. Then he runs down the hill to see what you’re doing. Also, there are three dogs that defecate on the walkway to the boathouse and it’s not cleaned up. We had to find a shovel to remove the huge piles, and one of the dogs must be sick.

The Resort at Marble Hill offers adventures unlike any other resort in Roatan (in the Bay Islands). Our “World Class Rustic” campus encompasses diving, snorkeling and culinary experiences for every sense and mindset. From personalized diving experiences to secluded oceanfront rooms, your stay at THE RESORT at MARBLE HILL can be as laid-back or adventurous as you choose. Covering just under 30 acres, our tropical paradise is surrounded by the natural beauty of the Caribbean and scenic trails. It is truly a jewel of the Caribbean built for your relaxation. How soon can you get here?
My review is based on Tropical Island Divers( the dive shop at Marble Hill ) I stayed at a nearby resort and was more than impressed with the staff and professionalism at T.I.D. This was my second trip to the east end and my second bunch of dives with them. Marek and Marcos were both there when I arrived but had moved on about a week later. I dove my first 6 tanks with Marcos and my last 8 tanks with Edward with Reese at the helm. I spent a total of 12hours and 16 minutes underwater this trip. Edward took me to some stunning dive sites including caves and many canyons, and always kept an eye on me. I felt very safe at all times with all employees and gear. I would highly recommend them

Easy stay. Affordable. When I forgot a special charger from the states they sent it through a carrier no cost, no questions asked to TGU where I live. Truth worry host. We booked through airbnb. Town is funky and super walkable. Even at night, very safe. Airbnb was a minute, well more like 5, from the town square. But like a said a nice easy walk.

This is a family owned property that is in a great location in West End. It is set back from the main road so you don't hear the street noise. Landscaped property gives you the peaceful island feeling. Adam is a great host with a lot of local knowledge. He recommended a great dive school and several restaurants. Easy walk down a landscaped path to Half Moon Bay beach. Central location makes it easy to get around West End. I would stay here again.
