From the fairy-tale castles and medieval villages of Bavaria to the Rhine Valley's UNESCO-listed landscapes and the storied monuments of Berlin, Germany has many faces. Steeped in history, cities like Cologne, Frankfurt, and Hamburg are also among the coolest cultural hubs in Europe.

This property was fantastic for the money, a really lovely place and very quiet. We appeared to have much of the hotel to ourselves, which maybe due to the time of year. The only downside (which is a real shame) was the restaurant. The food wasn't up to much, very greasy (hence the reduced mark). Staff were all very nice though.

This hotel offers really good food, well prepared and presented. We stayed as a family of 6 adults,5 children and dog for the weekend. The children loved swimming in the lake, the Minigolf, the space to play football. The adults enjoyed the wonderful food and the excellent beer.We did not have time to use the sauna facilities which are really good. Such places are hard to find.Thank you team for the friendly service.

We were staying in the area and this restaurant was recommended by the owner of our apartment. Family run, the restaurant is clearly frequented by locals as well as visitor which is always a good sign. It serves good local food and beer at a very reasonable price. It is homely and unpretentious with a friendly host. Open every day until late, a godsend when many places shut on Sunday evening and/or Monday. We enjoyed this so much we ate here on 2 of the 4 nights we were in the Brotterode area.

It is a nice hotel located a bit remotely :-) in the south part of the Black Forest. If you want to explore the region, Alsace, Lake of Constance it is a good place. Our room was a bit cramped and the isolation between the rooms is pretty poor, you can hear your neighbors sneezing :-) The owner is very friendly.

On our way from Stockholm to Austria this inn some 60 km west of downtown Berlin was a good choice. The small village of Linum is known for its storks and the stork theme was seen all over the inn. In winter the village is very silent, almost dead, but you can find a nice restaurant Waldhaus am Denkmal 4 km from the inn. There is no eating option at the inn, at least winter time. Our room was spacy with water bed. If you don't fancy water beds, you may ask the innkeeper, if there are rooms without water beds. There was no personal at the reception, when we arrived, but we had a key left for us in a small box beside the entrance, which we could open with a code given to us. A nice buffet breakfast and a very friendly service, when we met the innkeeper during our breakfast. It's a 8 km drive from the motorway, Autobahn 24, if you arrive from the north and 13 km, if you arrive from the east. We think it was worth the small extra drive.

Set in an idyllic, quiet secluded location surrounded by nature, you can enjoy your holidays. In our house we offer you holiday apartments and double rooms with breakfast.Beside it is our farm with dairy cows. At breakfast you can enjoy homemade products. For your children there is plenty of space to play, petting and anyone who wishes can even watch the milking, or ride a lap on the tractor.
There was no room in the inn wenn I came back for XMAS to Neubeuern 1 st time for many years- my parents couldn’t accommodate all of us.... Frenetic searching last minute (not clever) lead to Niederauer Hof and luckily Karin would accommodate us (although she had not planned to stay open over the season) Arriving at Niederauer Hof is approaching a working Farm (come before 5 to get the keys as I ll have to attend the cows afterwards was the message I got after confirming) but the rooms and serviced apartments are far from agricultural Situated in a 15 year old side building they are state of the art and sympathetically converted, good size rooms and bathroom, rustique but without unnecessary alpin bric a brac and well appointed- think natural materials waxed and oiled wood, hypoallergenic pillows.... everything you need (and probably more) is there- hair dryer, little amenity bottles, internet- the feel is more boutique hotel than bandb and the rooms and well appointed flats would suit overnight guest as well as couples or families who want to explore the area. We haven’t tried breakfast but what we saw in the room and the quality coffee and tea and honesty bar as well as home grown produce available will most likely give top marks here also... A gem

We were given Room 107 which is a suite with a balcony overlooking the beer garden - it was wonderful and we would recommend requesting this room when booking. All staff were very friendly and the breakfast and evening meals were good. The pool is big enough for coolng off and was much appreciated after a day's sightseeing. It is up a steep hill if you're cycling, but it didn't faze us with e-bikes. If we return to this area we will definitely stay here again.
