This 8s an absolute favorite stop to spend the night. My hubby can braai after a long day on the road. Wood, ice and meat available, you can order salad and/ or braai broodjies. Everything is provided. If you don't want to go through this much effort, someone will braai for you or you can just have dinner in the main house. I absolutely fell in love with the most amazing towels ever!

We camped at Oakrest in April. It is the most beautiful camp site, lovely grass on a sweet little dam. The views are unbelievalbe and the atmosphere is peaceful and inviting. Excellent ablutions and well equipped kitchen. Phillip is an outstanding host and nothing is too much trouble. I would highly recommend Oakrest to any traveller that enjoys the finer things in life : )

Located in a forest in the heart of the Masai Mara, Little Governors' is intimate in character. The luxury en-suite tents are tucked around a large water-hole clearing that teems with life. Beyond, lie the grasslands of the Masai Mara and the deep blue Olololo Ridge Escarpment. Arriving in Camp is an adventure, leaving your vehicle behind you cross the Mara River by boat and are escorted on foot through the forest to the camp. Governors has been pioneering immersive and transformational safaris in the Mara since 1972. We were the first operators to be permanently based inside the Mara, our site was chosen for its prime location and was the designated “getaway” for the Governors of Kenya. Unfenced and right in the heart of the action. Our camps are Located in some of the best and most precious Wildlife Locations in the world. We are a family with a colourful cast of characters that embodies the spirit of safari, while placing the care of the environment, community and conservation at the heart of everything we do.
I decided to come to the Mara before a work trip in Nairobi. LG was very easy to book and communicate with . I came directly from my international flight to the Mara so the driver dropped me off at the LG’s lounge at Wilson. I was able to store some of my luggage with them so I could have a lighter bag for the flight to the Mara. The accommodations at little governors are clean, spacious and comfortable (especially the mattress!) the tents are sealed so there were bugs in the tents. the food was delicious and the staff were attentive and friendly. The view from the lobby is spectacular with elephants, rhinos, birds and giraffes. I would stay here again for the view!

Skeiding is one of those places that you fall in love with for no reason ... maybe it's the absolute peace and tranquillity or the panoramic views of the Langeberg mountains or the bright stars at night or the mouth watering food or the goodness of being close to nature ... that makes you want to come back. Situated on high, open, rolling terrain you experience the feeling of freedom and being kind of alone with no neighbour in sight. Skeiding is a working grain, sheep and ostrich farm … close to the N2 and halfway (250 km) between Cape Town and Knysna. This makes us the ideal stopover. A friendly family farm, an education for city slickers, a place to relax and enjoy panoramic mountain views as the farm is situated on high, open rolling terrain. We, Neels and Anné-Lize are two energetic people who love life …you need to be to run a farm, a young family (Anné and Pieter), three dogs (Klara, Layla and Mila), a cat (Tierkat) and a guesthouse at the same time. Spoil yourself and stay Self-catering, Bed & Breakfast or even better, have dinner. Our sumptuous farm breakfast include : a plate of fruit in season, at least a dozen homemade preserves and jams, freshly baked bread, a cheese platter, cereals, yogurt, eggs and also a choice between ostrich and pork bacon. Enjoy home cooked country cuisine prepared by Anné-Lize and her small team of able and enthusiastic assistants. Neels is the meat “chef” on the open fire, unless farm work calls him away.
Skeiding Guest Farm is the perfect escape if you're looking to relax and get away from it all. The cottage had everything we needed, not to mention a beautiful view! The morning farm tour is not to be missed - Neels is a great story-teller and it's a wonderful way to learn about the history of the area while you're driven around the farm, herding sheep and checking out the wildlife. We saw zebra, black wildebeest, ostrich, springbok and even the hartebeest made an appearance. After the tour was breakfast, with freshly baked bread, more jams and cheeses than you can count, and a huge choice of other culinary delights. Anné-Lize and her staff have really created something special - next time we'll definitely be there for dinner too! A truly memorable stay.

TwoAngels is a magnificent stone clad house with six sea-facing bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, at the water's edge of the Knysna lagoon. Additionally and separate from the main house, Lovers Nest is a quaint Honeymoon cottage at the water's edge with private access to the lagoon; The oyster Shell is a private Studio apartment on the upper ground floor of the annex with a large balcony overlooking the lagoon; The Angels lair is a beautifully decorated two bedroom apartment on the 1st floor of the annex with a balcony & panoramic views over the lagoon.
This place is nothing short of magical... Surreal almost. In our opinion one of the most beautiful places of SA. Water of the lagoon right on your doorstep (or beach with low tide). Lovely rooms, very nice surrounding garden, perfectly equipped kitchen(s), BBQ's, etc. etc. And above all the staff and host are lovely. If you like playing golf there are 2 very nice courses within 10 minutes. Hope to visit again!!!

Outeniqua Moon Percheron Stud and Guest Farm is a farm with a difference. Situated at the foot of the Robinson Pass, we offer spectacular mountain views. Not only do our guests enjoy the luxurious Victorian-style self-catering units, they are also given the opportunity to interact with the majestic, regal heavy draft horses that we breed and protect on the farm. A visit includes an exciting cart ride over Fynbos-covered lands on the illustrious Vulcan that leaves our guests exhilarated and invigorated. It is a bird-watchers paradise, the African silence broken by the singing, twittering, chirping, tweeting and whistling of the huge variety of birds that share their land with us.
This was such a great place to stay, the owner is friendly and the place is so neat and beautifull! The rooms is fully self catering and we die not need one thing that was not there. Would recommend this place for everyone.
