Locanda del Barone, situated in an ancient village of the Municipality of Caramanico Terme, in the heart of Majella National Park at the foot of Mt. Morrone, offers restaurant service and tourist rural accommodation. Thanks to its position, it combines Caramanico mineral waters with the dry climate and the pleasant "mountain air" which is typical of the areas situated on the slopes of Majella, guaranteeing an ideal stay if you feel the need to regenerate.
Our wedding reception was held here and we decided to spend our first night as a married couple at the Locanda because it is so special. At the reception they pulled out all the stops for us and about 30 guests with a great menu and always terrific service. What a magnificent view, living in an ancient home updated with modern facilities. Very clean, affordable, and away from the bustling city life. The Locanda is located in the tiny village of San Vittorino perfectly situated 4 kilometres on the other side of the mountain from the bigger town of Caramanico.

On the top of a hill, amongst Montepulciano and Trebbiano vineyards, the Agriturismo Emidio Pepe is the result of the renovation of the old manor house of the Pepe Family and of the good taste of the owners. The rooms, each one different form the others, offer every comfort and give access to breathtaking, landscapes of sweet hills and sublime mountains.Immerse in the scents of the countryside you will enjoy total relax and will be able to visit the valuable cellar, the Museum of Wine and the Museum of oil, take a lunch or dinner, paly with our swimingpool. The warm colours of the sunset that inflame the Gran Sasso Mountain, will make unique the aperitif on the terrace and the walks along the surrounding country paths.
We stayed with my brother and 2 young teenagers for 1 night It was the cheapest of all places we stayed at on our 3 week road trip but by far the best - lovely service provided by Emidio Pepes granddaughter whose English is perfect - beautiful home with a real eye for cozy decorations: flowers on covered verandah, nice furniture in the gardens etc - amazing salt water pool - beautiful views over the valleys - you get a feel of staying with an Italian family with the founder walking around and nonna and all the kids. A really family affair - breakfast is better than your normal basic Italian affair. Yummy bread/ fruit etc - because of Covid, the nonna is not cooking but a 15 min nice walk will take you to the village. Our meal at Sosta was great I would love to stay again

In 2009 I converted the old family mill in a BeB. Everything has retained the style of the old house, the early 900. The times, the 60cm thick walls and the old mill on display in the garden ... The rooms, all with separate and independant entrance, facing towards the valley turns to mare. With Bath, LCD TV, Wi Fi, summer and winter conditioning, hair dryer, soap and shower gel and everything that helps to ensure a comfortable stay in an environment very authentic. Each has a table and chairs in the shade of the porch of confidential, to consume the breakfast buffet and enjoy moments of relaxation. Conventions for meals Willingness to organize any activities
Stayed two nights at the Inn. Spacious room with nice sized bath. The Inn was in walking distance to town. Although I did not have a car, I was able to walk to town for dinner and catch bus back to Pescara; however, a car would have given me more opportunity to explore this lovely area. Ludovica is a great hostess and very helpful with recommendations.

We stayed there for two nights in the second half of July. Relaxing location in the quiet natural scene of Abruzzo. Perfect room with kitchen. Swimming pool and ping pong available all time. Good dinner. Very nice staff. Kids loved the place. It is worth a second (and longer) visit

A charming agriturismo with a beautiful view from the pool. The half-board meal is recommended. It is also possible to use the pool or the restaurant even if you are not staying at the agriturismo. A service very used by the locals. The olive oil produced at the site is very tasty.

The area of Abruzzo has these things: hills , valleys, small ancient villages and the beaches. This place is located in on a hill overlooking the fantastic landscape with the valleys and farm land with Sunflowers and olive trees. We had a two room apartment in the side building with a large double bed and two extra beds in the "kitchen" room. The beds where quite hard but okay. The kitchen had a gas stove but did not really invite us to make any meals on. The Pecora Nera has a fantastic pool, large enough to please the kids and very comfortable sun chairs for the parents. The food is excellent!! The place is run by an Italian family which also had a dog, Punto, which was very charming.

We were in the area for business the other day and were tipped to have lunch at Il Piacere...what a wonderful surprise! Lovely ambiance with a huge fireplace. The menu is local kitchen, with a passion for beef. Local or imported. We chose for a New York strip of Irish origin. Well aged and very well prepared and mind you, I'm very fussy, so I was really surprised to find a piece of meat like that in the middle of nowhere...the owner is passionate about his job and offered us his hand picked australian Tasmanian pepper.. Anyway, if you're looking for a rich lunch full of local prosciutto, pasta and meat, accompanied by some good wine, all in a lovely atmosphere with well presented tables, I advise you to visit this lovely restaurant. Prices are reasonable.
