5" and 7.5" dual gauge miniature railway offering train rides in the Coate Water Park. Open every Sunday and most Bank Holidays for rides and available for children's parties. The ride lasts about 10 minutes and takes you through tunnels and under and over the bridge. We are staffed by volunteers so sometimes we have steam trains running and sometimes electric. Toilets and cafe are in the park.

We started our experience at Norden where there is loads of reasonable priced parking and went straight to the nearby station to catch the on time steam train to Swanage taking in great views including Corfe Castle. We had lunch in Swanage and a good look around before the return journey. My grandson is 4 1/2 and loves Thomas the tank engine so this was a dream trip for him.

Wiltshire's Only Standard Gauge Heritage Railway. We offer round-trip passenger journeys of approximately 4.5 miles with heritage trains running between Blunsdon and Hayes Knoll, plus an extension south to Taw Valley Halt at Mouldon Hill Country Park within the Borough of Swindon.
Visited today with our three grandchildren, what an excellent experience, staff were very helpful, we caught the train from ‘taw valley holt’ in mouton park up to blunsdon where we changed trains to go up to the engine shed to Santa’s grotto. Staff were excellent and showed the children the fire box in the can that made the steam for the train, santa’s Helpers in the shape of ‘Mr Snowman’ the ‘Elf’ and other helpers were again excellent and the children loved them, my two year old was continually waving to ‘bing’ the naughty elf on a shelf from home . The grotto was also very good with the singing reindeer and Santa too the time to talk to the children and magically produced their gifts from behind his back. Our three grandchildren (7,5,&2) throughly enjoyed th whole experience. Well done to the S&C railway staff/volunteers for putting on a great experience. Will definitely be back next year for the Santa special as well as other events , well done ! ????????

This trip is one of the best Christmas treats in the area. The staff make everything magical for the children, the train journey, the snacks and the Christmas gift are of a really good standard. My granddaughters were enchanted with Father Christmas and the passengers enjoyed a Christmas carol singalong with the staff. Well worth the cost.

Cornwall's Premier Steam Railway will appeal to all age groups.Join us for a leisurely 13 mile journey through scenic Cornish countryside evocative of a 1950's Branch line.
Cannot thank the staff enough for everything they did for the family to celebrate the life of a family member. Hannah and the team welcomed everyone, worked so hard from out steam train trip to the cream tea and drinks. Will try and visit when we are back down that way.

Whenever I am traveling by train I get my tickets from the helpful staff here. They always give me the best price. There is a lift to the platforms which is great if you have a lot of bags. Cafe is a takeaway and very handy with ladies toilets nearby. There is even a postbox on the platform.
