Having seen the tripadvisor reviews we decided to have our lunch in the Wyndham Arms. The food was excellent in both flavour and presentation, probably the best pub food I've ever had with very generous portions. The service was also excellent, and incredibly friendly. A thoroughly enjoyable experience, and we will definitely return.

Decent pub food. Nothing special. For pub food unusual small portions, but that's fine. Service was ok after i finally got to order. But that took some time even though they notoced me and it wasn't busy. The place itself looks like what you'd expect from an old rural English pub. So big plus on the atmosphere

A fresh take on the English Ale House of old. Serving lunch, brunch and dinner matched to fine wines, craft beers, excellent non alcoholic drinks as well as a proper range of draught beers. We have a lovely garden with huts that can be booked for larger g
We were looking for somewhere for lunch, having visited the Cathedral, and spotted this old inn, which has been refurbished in a contemporary eclectic style and has an excellent menu, different to the normal predictable pub fare, including plaice and macaroni cheese in addition to the old stalwarts like fish and chips.Being a Tuesday lunchtime, it was relatively quiet inside - the garden area outside was quite busy. Service was friendly and fast and the food was well-cooked and enjoyable.Ten out of ten!Ian - thank you so much for such a lovely review - perfectly strive what we are all trying to achieve every day ... hope to see you again soon

Traditional English Inn dating back to 1737. Bar, dining and 5 en-suite bedrooms, 1 fully accessible. Beer garden and riverside seating. Allergen aware - most of our menu is available Gluten and dairy/Lacto free-even desserts!
stayed here overnight based on its close location after viewing stonehenge, which is very close by and convenient to this inn. i am a disabled traveler; wheelchair access was good to the designated room, with a well accessible ramp. it got me into and out of the room well, but there were no real handicapped adaptations in the room. that worked for me since i can walk a little, but be aware you wonât find easy access for wheelchair or scooter actually into the bathroom. so it does require some walking mobility. also the ground is gravel, so be aware of the difficulties of rolling on gravel. that said, the room was clean, charming and comfy, if a little cramped for my scooter. bed very comfortable, amenities good. we only stayed overnight after our main objective in the area, stonehenge, and left in the morning. however, the pleasant surprise here was the food! itâs a pub as well as an inn. way above average and unexpected in a little country inn. iâve sampled bread pudding all over the US, including the south and New Orleans, searching for the best incarnation of it.... itâs HERE!! now i know what iâve been searching for!! this is what bread pudding is SUPPOSED to taste like! NOW i understand!! holy cow! sweet, tender, buttery moist melt in your mouth flavor. no dryness or overpowering sweetness. perfect balance of creamy deliciousness and everything you love about bread. thank you so much!! i am admittedly spoiled and judgmental about good food having lucked out to grow up in San Francisco...... this is worth a trip to england!! oh yeah, the rest of the food we sampled here was also outstanding, BTW. but go for the bread pudding!!!! thanks david! â¤ï¸Thank you for your kind review. We do not understand the comment about there being gravel? We have no gravelled areas. When you Booked your room we did respond to your question reiterating the sizes of doorways and rooms as per booking.com information and did state that an electric scooter would not fit if you needed it to get right into the wet room which is narrow but fully fitted out with disabled facilities such as toilet height, basin height, grab rails to shower, shower seat etc.We are very pleased to hear that you enjoyed the food here so much . Having travelled to san francisco and eating out there , that is praise indeed. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed travelling around our country and look forward to welcoming you back if you are ever this way again.

A friendly local in the heart of Salisbury city centre with a sweeping array of delicious drinks and some scrumptious food.
The food was fine and the service OK but the lunchtime deal is a farce ! They advertise 2 courses for £9 .. we specifically asked about this only to find afterwards we were charged full price and a waitress whilst apologizing profusely did nothing, claiming she didn't realize we wanted the £9 deal, which only applied to the small not the regular fish & chips. WE WILL NOT BE RETURNINGHi,We are terribly sorry regarding the misunderstanding of the menu , we are currently reviewing the Icons on the menu which denote the set price lunch menu, I am glad to know that the waitress did apologize and by way of a good will gesture I would like to invite you back for a complimentary Fish and Chips, please call me to arrange this and we hope to hear from you soon.Kind RegardsJamie Framesmith.

A Village Freehouse in the picturesque village of Coombe Bissett 2 miles outside of Salisbury on the A354. Offering Local and National Real Ales, Wines from around the World and Homecooked Food.
Lovely staff, good grub and a good range of well kept beers. Sat in the garden on a lovely evening and had a relaxing family meal, kids played in the play area and loved it. Well worth a visit. Very switched on to allergies and food intolerance if that is of concern to you, speak to the staff they are very helpful. With regard to price I find it very reasonable, I have listed it as mid-range but what you consider as mid range is very subjective. I would call it very good value for money.Thank you for your review and we are pleased you enjoyed your visit.I will pass on your comments to the staff who always appreciate a positive review in regard to their service, hospitality and helpfulness to customers. We do classify ourselves as a traditional pub that offers good food and value for the money.Hope to see you again soon.Regards

We basically just stopped for lunch after previously seeing a sign pointing to the location, and was not disappointed. The pub was nearly full, and only had to wait for less than 10 mins whilst a table was being cleared. We had the ploughman's being 1 cheese, and 1 ham, and more so the ham as this tasted of a good quality product, whilst for me cheese is cheese, but still tasted good The warm bread presented with the meal was very tasty as was the salad (including the sliced apple), coleslaw, and pickles. They also had a good selection of beers which went down a treat. Every few months we go to the outlet shopping centre at Wilton, and pass along the same road, and this was the 1st occasion we decided to stop for lunch on our way home, and it will not be last with the intentions that we will call back again.Service was also of a high standard

The White Horse at Quidhampton offers excellent food, friendly service, delicious wines and top-quality cask ales in a traditional village pub environment, where we believe in old-style pub values. Food is locally sourced and delivered daily, with only th
Came here for the first time with friends, having walked to the pub from their house. Itâs fairly traditional inside though carpet was about to be changed. We ordered their special which was steak and it was delicious and well cooked and served with great chips!Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback for us Bruin43. I'm glad you enjoyed the steak when you visited. We look forward to seeing you on your next visit and thank you again for your review.

A 17th Century Coaching Inn at the Market Place in Wilton, an historic town of great charm, once the capital of Wessex. Nikki and Graeme offer you a warm welcome, wonderful food, cask ales, fine wines and a Coffee Lounge. Here at the Greyhound Inn, we're
The good experience started when I had to leave a message asking if I could change my reservation to include two extra people. Really friendly message back saying 'no problem' - and it all felt good. The welcome, the position of the table, the ambience, the location and the food....well, what can I say. This must be one of the best 'pub' lunches we have had. Excellent choice from a Sunday menu and whether you are having a roast or one of the many delicious choices, it could not be faulted. We also recommend the sweets because in terms of portion size and taste, you will not be disappointed. Probably not low calorie. The staff deserve a special mention. We had three in total serving us but one in particular - didn't get her name unfortunately - was just great. Friendly, efficient and made you feel special. We have to travel 20 miles to get to the Greyhound - it's well worth it.
