This is one of NJ's little known treasures. While my wife and I are not big drinkers, we love great food...and NJ Bar and Grill always delivers! The chef is to be commended for excellent visual presentation, freshly made pasta, and organoleptically appealing food. We eat here often. Local families in the know, bring their children here. TV monitors all around the place show various sports. If you want good food, give it a shot.

Several tasteless dishes. Fried plantains dried out, reheated and no seasoning. Carne Asada dried out like an old cow hide. Menu shows the dish is served with fries. Not the case here at all. Pico was 99.9% chopped onion swimming in lime juice. Yuck! Menâs room was very dirty and sorely in need of maintenance. As much as we had been looking forward to this visit - thatâs the extent of our disappointment. Strong point here was the Passion fruit Margarita- certainly not the food.

Always good value, and we had great service (Andrew, I think). Really good food/drinks and just remember all portions are generous!

You really need to get there early if she'll jump quickly. The food is excellent, the drinks are always made to perfection. But it gets crowded early

They keep the prices low by requiring everyone to buy a drink. You can buy anything from water to cosmos to wine to beer. The lobster is the big hit here as are the dozen clams that come with it. These clams are the bigger ones - - a little too chewy for my taste but for the price, who could argue! Just bring CASH!!!!!

Italian Restaurant & Bar
We went to the restaurant, waited 30 minutes and were served our soup, one portion. Waited, waited, waited another 45 minutes and the waitress seemed to have disappeared. Finally, we decided to leave, efound our waitress who was baffled, and she got the front end manager. Both went to the kitchen, our order was not only not ready they just did not have an answer. The manager and waitress just went about their business, not concerned or have any concern about us. We left.Hello James and thank you for your review. First I must apologize for the delay in your food. Our POS system differs with the numbers you have quoted for wait times, but still much longer then what we try to achieve on a daily basis. I must however address some aspects of this review which simply need further clarification. The waitress was very attentive and had gone to your table numerous times apologizing for the delay. We even had a few other patrons that where sitting next to you that felt bad for your treatment of our server who you brought to tears. You claim that your food was not ready when you were exiting the premise but we informed your wife it was indeed ready and if she wanted to take it to-go. She denied our offer and left without paying for anything. We truly try our best to please all our customers and in return we also expect our employees to be treated respectfully. Have a nice day.

I had purchased a few discount coupons and went to the Canal House several months ago. The food was ok but nothing to write about. The Canal house has been here forever under different names. When we entered my wife picked up that there was some changes like new hanging lamps. We where quickly seated and where given menus, We looked at the menus and it was not the same old fare.We are not adventurous eaters so we decided on burgers my wife saw one with a fried egg and I wanted the cheese burger no cheese but fried onions. The waiter asked how we wanted it. In most restaurants the chances of getting it right is slim and none. Well 10 minutes later comes out a 5 star burgers cooked to perfection..It was fresh, not a patty hand made and my wife could not complete. In should never been called a burger but a ground steak.Chef Robert came out to check if everything was ok and explained he makes his own blend of ground beef . Now I have met some Chefs who are really Cooks andthink they are rock stars. Robert just is an artist that uses his creativity to make his customers happy. We are looking forward to returning and will put a toe into the menu set by step.

Stop in the Taphouse 15 for dinner. We were seated quickly. Our server was friend and answered every question we had. We both had a fish dish, salmon and cod. The salmon was good, but my cod wasn't as good as I thought it would be. I have to try the pizza if I stop in again.

Went with my wife and son. Most seating is around the bar. Few high top tables. Son and I had wings. Very good. Not best ever. But solid. We shared pretzels. Also very good. Prices were cheap. Service was friendly. If you're looking for good bar food, cheap beer prices ($3.25 for pint of Yeungling) and friendly service, you've found your place.

Great local pub, with food far above standard "pub fare". The Guinness was top shelf, as was the food, the locals at the bar, the bartender and the guy playing guitar. So glad I visited this place.
