I realize the latest trend is farm-to-table, but if the food isnât good it doesnât matter. Bakerâs Crust in Hilltop (Va Beach) does it right. Delicious food - very little comes from a bottle or can. Breakfast is unusually good - I would highly recommend the their classic Eggs Benedict (next time, Iâm going for their Baltimore version with crabmeat). The hollandaise was subtle without overpowering the the ham (aka âCanadian Baconâ) and the hashbrowns were perfect. My favorite has to be their wood fired pizza. Awesome! And of course none of this matters unless the staff does their job. Everyone I talked to is friendly, helpful and proud to work there.Give them a try - highly recommended!

Extensive beer list with many local selections. The menu was very good. The pork shoulder and bacon, lettuce and fried green tomato (BLT) sandwich were incredible. Loved the whole, slow-roasted garlic cloves with the veggies. They melted in you mouth...cooked perfectly, not bitter at all. The breads was wonderful as well. Service was attentive and very friendly. I can't say enough. Go and enjoy.

Food, atmosphere, and service Used to be second to none. Dinner was slow to arrive. Server presented one meal stating it was wrong and did we want the correct dish. The chicken tasted like fish and the incorrect meal was not replaced until everyone else had finished theirs. No offer to compensate. Slow, poor food, poor service, and overpriced. Never again.

Soo good.Waffle fries were good too.Wife had the crispy avocado tacos - and said it was "different". - wasn't bad, or good, and she's glad she tried it, but would get something different next time. Our kids had the Mac n' cheese - which our daughter was too tired to eat, but it was VERY good. One of the bartenders at our hotel recommended this place because our hotel is not open for lunch. Good location, nice place, typical Irish Pub. We were there for late lunch, so not crowded, they have indoor and outdoor seating, but it was hot and humid that day so we eat indoors. Our server Nefertiti was very pleasant, but the service was a bit slow because it looked like she was pretty on by herself. We both ordered the pulled pork barbecue sandwiches which were quite substantial came with Irish fries and coleslaw. The coleslaw was really good very fresh. The pork was not really that hot or flavorful. When I make it at home mine is much better. I ordered a Smithwicks and a shot of Jameson Black Barrel and my Husband just had a soda that day. I would say that it was definitely a bit overpriced, but it is in VA Beach. Now, having said that, we also live in a huge tourist area, Lancaster, PA. I'm from there originally and we eat out here at home a lot and if I think it was a bit overpriced for a tourist area it probably is. Not bad but not get for the money either at $45.00 and change for what we had and I know cause I paid the bill. Pub fare lunch and drinks in Lancaster would be at least $10.00 less here for the same thing and likely taste better as well.

We loved our doz oysters which were fresh and cold. My son ordered the Captain's platter with the steamed shrimp, clams, and oysters which was so good, he ate everything! The shrimp was surprisingly large and seasoned perfectly with old bay. My husband and I weren't as hungry so we opted for the raw oysters and 2 appetizers. Unfortunately both our appetizers, tuna poke and lobster/crab dip were a bit salty but still tasty. They were very quick and gave us more fresh chips and pita bread. We sat outside where there was live music to be enjoyed while eating.

Dockside Seafood & Fishing Center offers the best fishing charters & Dolphin cruises in VA. We offer half & full day trips, perfect day out on the water for friends & family!. Give us a call to book today!
Been going here for 42 years. Through several owners. Through many changes of menu. Through many updates and improvements. Fantastic water views of the Lynnhaven river. Sunset views are spectacular. All that you would expect from a waterfront seafood restaurant. Plenty of parking. 3 dining areas including an outside deck. Friendly staff. The owners are very community conscious letting the local civic league hold its meetings in one of the dining rooms and hosting Santa Claus following a neighborhood Christmas parade. Children friendly with a kids menu. Highly recommended.

We had a very pleasant dinner here. Live music that we could also hear from our hotel balcony 3 doors down.
