We are your hometown American Italian restaurant. Recipes from the Basile âs restaurant in East Utica in the 70s and 80s. Recreated recipes from Chrisâs grandmother Fanny, homemade soup all dinners made to order, daily specials, full bar and a patio in th
We decided to try out the restaurants participating in Restaurant week and met friends at The Black Cat, we went out back to have a cocktail on the patio and then inside for dinner.Everyone raved about their meal. I must say the best Pork Chop ever!!!Good drinks, salads and a great waitress! We will go back

We ordered wings from Lukins for takeout. They were grilled and medium spicy Buffalo style. The wings were perfectly cooked and spiced. We really liked the grilled-in flavor. These wings were a bit pricey for this area (I have found cheaper) but part of the price was that they were grilled. When picking up the food, I was impressed by the restaurant itself -- very attractive seating areas, nice selection of beers on tap, etc. I was expecting much less in Utica. This place seems like a very nice place to go out for pizza, wings, and beer.

Some of the best Barbecue I've ever had, reading the negavtive reviews I realize that the loud bar atmosphere is a recurring "problem", but that's the fun of it. You go to a place called "Boneyard BBQ" for the food as well as the experience. Reading the negative reviews I see that people think the food isn't good, I couldn't disagree more. I've been twice already and have been very satisfied every time. The ribs are delicious, so is the Pulled pork, chicken barbecue and hog wings. All the sides I've tried were good and I really have nothing to complain about. The atmosphere is great, the people are very nice. Those who have written negative reviews went last year, so maybe the restaurant made an effort in that regard, if so goof job.

To start off, our server could not have been more adorable. Lauren was great and kept checking on us...without hovering. The food was very good and I'm VERY particular about my caesar dressing, but I really liked this one and the wings were very good.Overall, we will be back!!

Went for a fish fry and received a large fish, very tasty, with square fries and coleslaw. My spouse had baked fish with seasoning and soup, delicious. The service was fast and waitress attentive. With very filling meals, we had no room for dessert. Coffee was rich and fresh. On a busy night, we finished our meals in less than an hour. Nice feeling.

Located in the heart of Downtown Utica, next to the Player's Theater and Munson Williams Proctor Arts Institute/Pratt , the Stanley Theater, Utica Public Libbrary and the Utica Memorial Auditorium. Tiny's is one of Utica's oldest running establishments ci
A friend and I were headed to a movie at the arts center across the street, so we were in a bit of a hurry. It took awhile for our server to get our order. Once we did, we were fine. We both ordered Reuben sandwiches and beer, plus an extra helping of french fries. The sandwiches were a good size, although I would have expected bigger chunks or slices of corned beef instead of chopped meat. The staff was friendly and kept checking up on us.Thank you from our entire staff we appreciate your very nice response....hope to see you again!

We tried them out while in town mostly because other places we wanted to try were closed on Monday. That said, we are glad we came. Our server was excellent. He was friendly, professional and took great care of us. Coming during happy hour is well worth it. Drinks can drive up the cost of any meal. Coming here during happy hour and taking advantage of their specials will save you money. We shared the nachos with the beef brisket. The brisket was excellent. Just wish they gave you more. Overall, we enjoyed our visit and recommend you check them out.

We stopped in for dinner & drinks! Sara was our waitress & she was lovely! I asked her opinion about local beer options & food! She offered great selections! I had the local Saranac Blueberry Ale! It was served in a nice chilled glass with some actual blueberries in the glass! I loved it!! For dinner, my husband had the chicken cutlet parmigiana & I had the boneless wings, medium. We also ordered the scallops wrapped in bacon, as an appetizer. Everything was fantastic! The scallops were fresh & hot. Very delicious!!! The chicken parmigiana was incredibly tasty, being this was a pub & not an Italian restaurant. Highly recommend!! I wish I had taken photos to show you. Definitely stop in for lunch or dinner!! The staff was great!!

I believe I reviewed Gerber's once before so this is a follow up to that positive review. For those that don't know, Gerber's is a pioneering spot near the Aud that is small but warmly decorated with local artists' work displayed throughout and decor informed by it's speakeasy past. The lamp shades have Gerber daisies painted on them, thus the name. Since last review I had brunch and a couple of lunches, which were all excellent. I generally go for lunch and my go to order is reuben or pastrami which never fails. I always get a cup of soup for my side too as they are always home made. Today I had the pickle soup and it was thick, delish with a lot of carrot in it. I also had the fried bologna sandwich with long hots, which comes with potato chips and pickle spear. Wow, that will be my new go to order. With the stone ground mustard and horseradish that was on the table, and the very spicy roasted long hots, this was a delightful sandwich on crunchy hot toasted bread. Bravo. You can come for a drink here after work too and the staff is knowledgable and friendly and the bar is well stocked. Full disclosure, I know the owner well but I would give the same review if it was run by a stranger. Check it out.

Hello and welcome to Nail Creek Pub & Brewery. We opened our doors in March of 2008 with the intent of bringing craft beer to the Mohawk Valley. At that time, most people said that the areas citizens didn't want craft beer. They told us that nobody would
We visited here exactly one year ago. We were in Utica for the same events this year. Utica's Tomato Pie Day at the Parkway Center, Wine & Chocolate event at the Memorial Auditorium, and the Utica College Physical Therapy students' "Muscle Hustle" on Varick St. These have become annual events for us. The anchor of Varick St is Saranac Brewery. This street is a busy, hip mix of breweries, pub, and eateries, many w/ outdoor seating. Nail Creek Pub has outdoor seating. You better bring your "A" game if you want to serve the public on this crowded street. That being said, after a brew stop at the Celtic Harp across the street, we decided for dinner at the Nail Creek Pub. This craft brew pub offers to Belgian beers, two stouts, & a saison. Also wine and full liquor bar. This place has a very loyal local clientele, but is very friendly to visitors like us. A good crowd was already enjoying the day we we sat down (table 11, front corner). Two women were flying around taking care of all. We ordered drinks and dinner. My bride ordered the roasted red pepper soup ($5.) and a Mediterranean grilled cheese sandwich ($9.). Soup first, a bit too much heat for her, but very excellent to me so I finished that. I had a shrimp po' boy. It comes on grilled bread, provolone cheese, lettuce, tomato, and remoulade ($10.). All served hot and as expected. Funny thing, if you don't want fries, you can get a 16 oz. Utica Club beer instead - Brilliant. A limited menu but not limited on quality. Week nights specials are available.Dinner for two w/ two wines, one Jameson, tax & tip $57.00. A good value to us. We don't know the names of the two women working this day but they were doing a very good job keeping up on this busy day (O# 180315). Hours: M-Sat 11:30am-2am, Sun 10am-5pm. Yes, they offer a Sunday Brunch too.The local "clubhouse" feel of Nail Creek Pub distinguishes it from the other bars on Varick St. We will visit again. Thank you.
