Local pub serving good home-cooked value for money meals. No frills - we are a pub selling food, not a restaurant selling beer. Local Real Ales. Sky TV, BT Sport, Pool table, darts, live music, pub quiz.Friendly welcome to all. Sunday lunch - booking advi

Ate here one evening after stumbling across here. Enjoyed it so much, we booked to return the following evening. The service was warm, friendly and prompt. The food was very good, tasty and reasonably priced.A hidden gem, well worth seeking out.

We visited here whilst holidaying in the area. Great portion sizes and lots of vegetables to go with the meats etc. Varied menu offered on other days except Sunday which is the roast. Drinks very reasonably priced and appears to be popular with the locals which is always a good sign

We spent 4 nights at the Old Court Hotel to celebrate our Golden Wedding Anniversary. We were greatly impressed by the warmth, friendliness and efficiency of the staff. Even during busy times, the waiting-on staff were cheerful and engaging, and ensured we did not have long to wait for any course. The food was excellent. The hotel has a wonderful ambience and charm with its many Elizabethan oak beams and other olde worlde features but it also has up-to-date facilities to ensure the comfort of guests. It is also spotlessly clean. The grounds and gardens are spacious and well maintained. This is an excellent hotel. We cannot recommend it highly enough.

Rural country pub in the centre of the village of Staunton just short of the Welsh border, specialising in local real ales and good quality food sourced locally whenever we can. We have a 5 star food hygiene award. We are on several walks in the Forest of
We both really enjoyed our lunch today, chosen from the chefâs specials board. I had the nachos with chilli beef and loads of cheese, which was so tasty and really filling and my husband had the pastrami style cured trout. That was extraordinarily flavoursome and unusual. Ideal as a starter or light lunch dish. See picture below. Of course the ordinary menu has a wide range of lovely offerings too. We do advise you phone ahead as tables get booked up especially at the weekend and holiday times.

Situated in the stunning wye valley between Ross-On-Wye and Monmouth very close to Symonds Yat. A beautiful coaching inn with en-suite rooms , run and managed by a local family, with the daughter at the helm in the kitchen as head chef. We serve food betw

Good selection of meals and cater for children. Plenty of cider choices on offer and dog friendly. When we visited it was dark, the views outside of the valley and river can only be imagined.

My family and I went to The Saracens on Friday 25th October, wanted to have a meal but the were fully booked. Asked if we could book for Saturday, and we were told the restaurant was fully booked, informed we couldn't reserve a table in the bar, but if one was available we could eat in there. We arrived at 5.15pm and sat at a empty table, we ordered drinks and we were told we could order food at 6.30 when the kitchen reopened for the evening. At 2 minutes to 6pm we were approached by a waitress who asked if we were eating, before we could reply she told us the table was reserved from 6pm, and we would have to move. With no other seats we had to go outside to finish our drinks, and then go elsewhere to eat.Not impressed Apologies to this reviewer, but it certainly is best to reserve a table here at busier times, as we do get fully booked.
