Not exactly a prepossessing interior--or exterior for that matter! Butt don't be fooled. This place obviously pays a lot of attention to its food and it shows. There's an excellent menu and even better, there's a separate Vegen/veggie menu that puts most other eateries to shame. Can be noisy as the place attracts lots of cheery locals, but the service is attentive and you'll leave feeling well fed..

Stopped here because central Mumbles was heaving with people and we thought this place might be able to accommodate us. Really glad we did, because we found great staff, really good food and very reasonable prices. My chicken Cymru was delicious and was accompanied by perfectly cooked vegetables. Adding to all this, was the marvellous view of the sea as the sun was setting. The restaurant is unpretentious, the menu is small and everything works beautifully-loved it and we’ll be back!

Family Sunday lunch, four adults two children. Drinks and food order taken together, two plates of food arrived within minutes, drinks four or five minutes later, then the rest of the food order. I ordered lamb Sunday dinner, the other adults had beef wich they enjoyed, my lamb was bits and pieces of lamb rolled together and sliced. I could not recognise one slice of lamb. On paying I was asked if everything was ok, I replied by saying that I was dissapointed that the lamb was a meat roll to be met with "Oh". Paid the bill and left. Not again though.

Having a overnight stay due to being in the area on business, we came across this little bar which was very busy and liked looked like the look of menu too. There were limited options of eateries in the immediate area and this looked the best option. We found a spare table (another 2 were available nearby), and then went to the bar to order food and drink. Whilst we were waiting to be served by the bar staff, a man /waiter came over to us and very abruptly told us we cannot order food as they are fully booked and they will not serve us food. I pointed out that we had found an unreserved table, but again he told us they would not serving us food, he then rushed away, leaving us standing at the bar. There were no apologies or alternative suggestions of where we could try. We collected our personal items from the table and left immediately.Helen - I am so sorry to hear of your experience and apologise wholeheartedly. We operate a small kitchen and all our food is freshly prepared. hence we are fairly limited on how many tables we can serve. That said we pride ourselves on our service and it would appear from your comments that we did not take enough time to explain the situation, or offer an alternative suggestions, On a more positive note, our feedback on our food is excellent, and what I would suggest is if you are in the area again please give me a call and we will certainly show you how good our food is! After reading the reviews for Sunday Lunch we thought we’d give it a go. Sorry but I really wasn’t impressed! Some people must be easily pleased! All of the veg was frozen ! Plus there was only 4 veg plus roast parsnips! (Peas, carrots, cubes of swede and cabbage). Yorkshire puds were also frozen. The price of £9.95 was expensive for what it was. £10.95 for hubby who chose the lamb. I’d like to have seen a tureen of cauliflower cheese added for that price. Would we return? Unfortunately not for Sunday lunch but we’ve eaten here before during the week and the bar menu is much better.
