Reviews on Pub food in Saratoga Springs, New York, United States. Saratoga Springs is one of those special getaway spots where everything is just, well, pretty close to perfect. The city's lovely tree-lined streets and grand old Victorians, porch swings swaying and gardens brimming with colorful flora bring to mind a gentler era. World-class horse racing, renowned performing arts and natural springs spas, plus 13 golf courses, 10 museums, a historic battlefield, fabulous boutiques, antiques and restaurants mean there is something for everyone. Relax at the Lincoln Mineral Baths, window shop in town and then it's off to the races. Walk everywhere, it's that kind of place. One of the oldest tourist destinations in the United States, Saratoga offers ample accommodation choices in elegant hotels, historic bed and breakfasts or comfortable inns. The only drawback is you may never want to leave.

Went there to celebrate my daughters passing her Physicians Assistant Federal exam. It was a nice relaxing and new establishment in town. The service was pretty good and the menu was varied. Prices were just a little high in my estimation. I ordered the steak and Brussel sprouts for dinner. The steak was very tasty and cooked just as I like it. I wasn't impressed with the brussel sprouts. They were obeiously cooked on the grill. Some had hard outer layers and were like eating potatoe chips while others were fairly tender. The sauces covering the steak and sprouts was not overpowering and complimented both well. The prices were a little high for what you recieved on your plate in my opinion. Not overly so though. Iced tea came in fairly small glasses (maybe 8-10 ounces.) The service was average, but the waitress was very friendly. On their dessert menu they listed apple crisp, but they didn't have it any more. Waitress said the menu was an old one. I was disappointed. If you have it on the menu, then you should have it to serve in my opinion or take a marker and cross it off the menu.If I were going to a nice bar to share drinks with friends then I would probably go there again. Atmosphere was relaxing and it wasn't overly loud for the number of people in there while we were there. If I were going to eat a nice dinner, just maybe.

I use to be a regular here, but this place has burned me for the last time. I would generally visit for the consistent music schedule. However the food is not. Terrible marks for Customer service. Re:Customerservice avoid coming here Friday to Monday. The bartender fails to approach new customers within a reasonable few minutes. I ordered a Negroni; his response "I'm not good at making drinks that I don't like". He served me a gin cocktail made with amaro. So be prepared to get a drink you may not have ordered and be expected to pay for it!

Bookmakers, located at The Holiday Inn in Saratoga Springs, may not be on your radar for a meal. Maybe it should be. A friend and I arrived for dinner at the height of a quite busy happy hour. No problem; we were seated in the dining room adjacent to the bar, but the revelers didn't bother us at all. Charisma, our bubbly waitress was right there to let us know the specials, and to take drink orders. Since neither of us us in the mood for a big dinner, we both decided on sandwiches. Friend had a Turkey Club, piled high with turkey. Looked wonderful, and she took half home. I opted for the Tuscan Chicken Sandwich, which was a grilled chicken breast, topped with Provolone. roasted red peppers, lettuce & tomato. What a good choice! We certainly will be going back often.

We stayed at the Inn at Saratoga so decided to 'stay in' after getting back from the races. The menu was small, but we liked the choices. Starting with appetizers to go with our cocktails, we ordered the flatbread and crab cakes. Both delicious! Entree choices included a salad with shrimp, Homemade spinach Ravioli and salmon. Each one delicious! Our waitress, 'Sam' (for Samantha) was the best! We enjoyed a nice, relaxing time with beautiful surroundings and superb service. Live music, a very talented duo singing and playing guitars, started around 7PM. 5 stars!!!

We stopped in on Friday at Gaffney's for restaurant week. The printed menu had a different appetizer than the web site menu but they willingly changed it to the advertised item. The Irish fries are very tasty. I think the fries could have been cooked a bit more but I like them really crunchy. Our waiter suggested we have the steak option - he was right. Our steak was cooked perfectly and had a great flavor with is a lot for me since I order it very well done. They know what they are doing there. Because I had an appetizer I did not eat the dessert but they happily wrapped it to go. This meal was so good that we made a special point of going back on Saturday for the burger lunch. It was fabulous. Again - cooked perfectly. My only issue is I asked for no pickle and I got one. I hate pickles. I highly recommend the chips that come with the burger. I think they are homemade and were great. I love that they have made the outdoor/covered patio winter-proof. I would go back and have the Irish Mule. It's a great drink.

Came here after missing parking - what a happy mistake! Soup and panini, chicken soup alone worth returning for but I want to try more! I enjoyed the craft beer selection and wide variety in the menu!

This is a great Irish pub with a hall and dart room. A very popular local pub with a great nightlife and music, an institution in Saratoga Springs
We love to go here, great atmosphere and food. We were there when group of musicians we're playing their irish instruments and singing and dancing to irish melodies. We love and have seen the " Celtic Women" and watching and listen to them gave it that kind of feel. We come here every time we visit Saratoga Springs. We didn't eat there this time but we usually do and enjoy there irish food !

The best part of my Friday night dinner experience was the lively and cozy setting. The food was all-around plain with no stand outs and no memorable flavor combinations. The service was pleasant but not particularly ambitious. I had been looking forward to finally trying out The Local but left with an overall sense of the blahs. I wonât be rushing back anytime soon.

We ordered 60 wings for a holiday party (half mild and half honey bbq). They were really excellent and the blue cheese dressing that came with them wasnât some runny blue cheese you typically get with wings. It was thick and delicious. I would definitely recommend the wings here!
