Melt Bar and Grilled is now open at Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio, near Planet Snoopy on the Midway. Check out our awesome food and drink offerings including the Cedar Point exclusive Firecracker Chicken sandwich!
We tried this location because of the other locations we have visited. The atmosphere of the restaurant is nice as it has historical Cedar Point decor. Although, The service and food was lacking. The food selection is limited at this location. We ordered a sandwich and chicken tenders. The French fries were soggy and cold. The chicken tenders were covered in a thick batter which was not cooked thoroughly. We also had a long wait from ordering til we received the food. There were a few tables around us that left without receiving their food - due to the kitchen not preparing orders in a timely fashion.
Started in the ground level bar but a burst of patroons didn't even let us order. Went up to the roof. Nice view even though overcast. Shared (so we could try more) a variety of craft beers. Will go straight to the top next time.

Good food, good service, and amazing waterfront views. Great for large events or small events, have visited both trade shows and wedding receptions as well as gone in to eat at the Pub.

Our family of five stopped here on a whim and LOVED the food!!! Burgers were awesome and the kids loved adding whatever they desired from the huge list of toppings. My wife got the breaded pork sandwich and loved it as well. We decided to try a bunch of the unique sides they had and we were not disappointed! We got the sauerkraut balls, munchers (like a tater tot with jalapeños and onions in it), cheese balls, and potato pancakes. Everything was very good and seemed like it was homemade from scratch. It's definitely a local joint but well worth the trip

Great little place we found by accident. The place is a little loud inside but the food makes up for that. It is not typical bar food. It is really good and well prepared dishes that come out looking great. You can get a cheeseburger here, and one of us did. They had food that I never thought I would see in a bar in Sandusky. It is worth a try for sure.

Cheers is all sports bar with 12 HD flat screens and just about every sporting package that Direct TV has to offer. You will never be interupted with karaoke! The patio provides plenty of space for the outdoorsman/woman. We do not cater to the 21 year old
We ran into our neighbors in the mall and invited them to join us for a drink at Cheers. They had never been there. We enjoyed Long Island Ice Teas and nachos. Sunday afternoon football with the waitress adjusting numerous TVs for customer requests. Our neighbor loves the Steelers and we are die hard Brown fans. Cheers accommodated us both. Customers and waitress made it like a fun loving football Sunday party. Highly recommend. My husband loves to go to Cheers while I visit the mall several times a year, also.

My uncle and I stopped in for a late lunch. I had the perch sandwich and he had the bacon infused burger. Both great, and the onion rings are top notch! I think our waitress said that there was 33 beers on tap! Nice decor and excellent view.

We had visited the Thirsty Pony for lunch while working for a client. We were told that they had a large menu and that it would not disappoint. It was Tuesday around 12:30pm when we arrived and we were seated quickly. A server took out drink orders and came out pretty quickly. The restaurant was not bust and I think we were 3 of a dozen that were there. We ordered 2 Fricker Chicken Salads and a Fricker Chicken wrap. We waited and waited for the food to come out, with no updates from the server. After about 25-30 minutes the food came out. The food was good and warm, but just seemed to take very long for as quiet as it was. The Fricker chicken in the wrap and the salads was delicious and potion sizes were reasonable for what we received. Would consider visiting again, but maybe not for lunch. Food prep seemed slow, and though the server was friendly, she could have checked up and kept us updated more on the status of our meal, as we ended up getting back to work late.

Googled a place to eat in Sandusky, as we were passing through to Cedar Point. The outside did not look like much, and there were not any cars in the parking lot-we almost kept going... glad we did not! Their tap beer approach was a completely new concept to us. You pour it yourself, and pay by the oz. I recommend the Shandy! The seafood nachos were amazing! And so were my fish tacos (Mahi). Everyone else enjoyed their meals as well-shrimp dinners, and popcorn shrimp basket. We also had some raw oysters, which were pretty tasty as well. Definitely a unique dive!

Whenever we're in town on business we always look forward to eating here. The service and food are both excellent. They have a wide selection of different types of food available other than the normal bar food you'd see in other places. The fresh fish dishes are all very good and some of their appetizers are not to be missed (home made tater tots - they're huge!)
