We visited Samuel Brooks for a meal recently and were not disappointed...As it was during an afternoon the place was not full and we sat next to the window... the restaurant/pub has a wood themed decor, with plenty of seats/tables inside and out...The food is decent pub grub and really well priced; so even people on a budget can enjoy a good meal... there is also an offer of two meals for £12... We shared a sharing platter for £10 that included chicken strips, duck rolls, breaded prawns, cheese sticks, fries, corn on the cob, garlic bread, onion rings, & dips... plus i had a lovely pint recommend by the bar staff and my wife a pot of tea...The food menu offers plenty of choice with all the pub classics... plus there is also a good selection of drink options...Service was prompt and the bar staff who showed us our table could not do enough for us - friendly, polite, & welcoming... We will definitely return and recommend this place to anyone looking for good pub style grub at an affordable price with quality service... worth a visit...

We had been told the food in the Melville is really good and went for lunch as a three generation family group.First visit to the Melville for many years and on first impression it has retained the familiar Holts ambience - including the bitterest bitter in the known universe :)There is a very good selection of vegetarian dishes on the menu and the Halloumi Kebab has enormous chunks of cheese; this really impressed our vegetarian! The Burger was epic as were the Gammon dishes (with two fried eggs, onion rings, tomatoes etc)The Braised Steak and Belly Pork came with cheesy and champ style mashed potatoes respectively with falling to bits steak and crisp pork. The food is above average pub grub and six very well presented meals turned up in good time - we all were very pleased with our selections! And much better quality and value than some more upmarket pubs (as stressed by our vegetarian)

The Mersey Farm was built in 1994 on the site of a farm & we're located close to the River Mersey - hence our name! We're a very popular social spot within the local community - our generous portions of tasty pub classics & friendly service ensure guests
A two course meal that took over 3 hours because the service was so poor. Virtually no staff. Food arrived and was lukewarm. Other tables got their mains in dribs and drabs. We waited nearly an hour before a waitress took our order. Never again!

The Moorfield is part of the Hungry Horse pub brand, with an outstanding reputation for great sports viewing, a fantastic selection of drinks, value food and regular entertainment. The Moorfield is relaxed, easy-going and hospitable. What’s on the menu? A

The Bridge Pub and Dining Welcome you to the newly refurbished The Bridge pub and dining. Situated on The Bridgewater way makes this the perfect stop off for boaters, rowers, cyclists, walkers and of course we have a designated dog friendly area so all th
Nice pub. I like that it's dog friendly and there's dog treats and water bowls. Staff friendly and professional. We had cheesecake - just average and very small slice for price. Last time I ate in here off the special offer menu and was disappointed, so after this last experience i'll stick to just ordering drinks in future. Hi There, Thank you for taking the time to review us. We are delighted to read your comments regarding the venue and team. Being dog friendly is a big plus for not only our customers but also our team who love seeing your dogs enjoying our pub too. Regarding the prices of the menu, we price our dishes fairly and accurately and ensure that our dishes are priced in accordance with other local restaurants. Our lunch menu which includes a number of our most popular dishes, "Steak Frites" "Fish and Chips" to name a few is very popular and changes weekly. I am sorry you found the weeks menu disappointing when you visited. Please rest assured that had you raised the issue with one of our friendly team, we would have done everything possible to rectify any mistakes and ensure that you had a great experience. We certainly hope you will consider returning to The Bridge so we can show you what we are all about: fantastic food and friendly service. If you wish to discuss your visit in further detail, or if there is anything else we can assist you with, please do not hesitate to contact us directly:0161 962 [email protected] Thanks AJ
