Staff are welcoming polite and the services provided was impressive as they were extremely attentive and to our furry friends! Food was served within 15 minutes and was very hot. Dog friendly and very cozy and clean atmosphere. The menus is excellent value for money and extremely tasty for pub food. Food was presented very nice with extra little touches and quality was great. With filling lunches from 7.40 upwards you leave feeling very content and satisfied. Would definitely recommend and will be going on a weekly occurrence.

Average food, big problem was the surprise parking ticket .Went there asked the Manager for help with the receipt said that she is not responsible , caused the scene I had no choice but to leave! Avoid at all costs!Hi andreym2001,Thank you for your comments regarding our establishment and food. However, we are very sorry to hear that you feel this way. Unfortunately, there are several signs dotted around the car park instructing our guests to register their vehicle registration upon arrival. We have also taken i t upon ourselves to place more signs around the pub in general, the restaurant and on our tills so that our guests do not get a penalty charge notice. I can assure you that the car park is managed to enable our guests to be able to park in our car park as we have limited space and are surrounded by residential & businesses that lack parking facilities. Should you wish to discuss this matter further, please do not hesitate to contact us on 0208 548 7841. Best wishes, BeccaDuty Manager

We visited this pub on a very warm Friday night, other pubs were very packed and we did not want to wait ages for a drink. We went to this pub and found seats so we stayed. The service was good, the drinks were not too expensive, the seats were OK, some chairs could do with replacing but there was a good atmosphere in there and we loved the music being played, which was sixties music. We have drunk here before and will go back.Hi Joanie H, we are very happy to have provided you with such a positive experience! and do hope we see you again soon we have entertainment every last Friday of the month , and occasional singers , our next event is the 3 rd of August with our soul night. The team and I look forward to looking after you again in the near future Kind regards Tina

Went with my partner for lunch today and had excellent service from Steph. Varied menu, being a vegetarian I liked the options available to me. Our wine glasses were never left empty. Even while Steph was rushed off her feet with how busy it was, nothing was too much to ask! We'll definitely be returning, highly recommend!

Great menu selection here at The Orange Tree. Light bites, mid-sized options or the full works with three courses. Entirely your choice. I had a Cajun Chicken Burger with cheese my wife chose the ham, egg and chips. Portion sizes are generous. Staff were quick to great and seat, polite and the service was very prompt but not rushed.Well done! We'll definitely be back as we're both spending more time in Havering.

Bottomless brunch worked well with 2 hour time slot, rather than filling glasses they left bottles which was a nice touch, very generous with refilling bearing in mind the pace it was going as.Food in general very good as always, flavoursome.Only let down by £2 charge for 1 ice cream scoop in a makeshift cake with a candle!

Charming Country Pub & Restaurant Set In The Heart of Stapleford Abbotts, Essex. Newly refurbished in Sept/Oct 2016 & relaunched as The Top Oak, previously known as The Royal Oak. Please see our website for full details on Menus & Up & Coming Events.
Visited the restaurant/pub with my family including our 3 year old daughter. The welcoming was friendly and speedy. The internal decor was done to a high standard but retaining some original features. Simon who served us and the waitress were both friendly. There was good choice of food on the menu and we also had the option of specials which I had the lobster for the first time. Food can promptly and was super super tasty. Simon was very friendly and even recommended some local attractions for our daughter. It felt like we were in Michelin star restaurant but prices of the food did not reflect the same! They were very reasonable in fact. I.e lobster was £35. We were told where the lobster was sourced and provided with information on the different parts of the lobster and why they taste different. Was a truly amazing experience and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Highly recommended and will definitely visit again. Cheers Simon
