Good selection of bar snacks and meals staff very friendly and knowledgeable about the beers they sell. Considering its location prices were very reasonable.

I was brought here by a friend after dinner with the promise of cheap beer and friendly bartenders. I had never been to Kiwi Bar before, despite hearing a lot about it, and assumed it would be something similar to the Aussie Pub. Like most people who live in Riga, I seldom go out to Vecriga, and didn't even know where it was. It keeps odd company, nestled in nicely between a cathedral, an Indian restaurant, and a strip club. I was promised cheap beer and friendly bartenders, and at least the bar delivered on that. The three girls working behind the bar were friendly and talkative, and they had a modest selection of mostly the same general beers that you will find in most Latvian bars, at around the same usual prices. Unfortunately, that's all I could find to like about the place. It's essentially a Sky Sports bar, and they show just about every match of just about every sport from football, to rugby, to football, to F1, to football, to cricket, and back to football. You get the idea. It was crammed full of the typical British barfly you'd find at any sports bar in UK, except here they can pretend to be cultured because they're somewhere foreign; unfortunately a quick conversation with the typical clientele will reveal that their experience of Riga probably consists of the walk between their hotel to this bar and to the strip club. There's never a pleasant company to be found here, and there are just so many of them.Food is available, courtesy of the restaurant next door. The menu consists of standard Indian food you can find anywhere in the UK, at prices that would be outrageous even in most areas of London. The menu made them sound pretty tasty, but in Riga it's ridiculous to pay so much money for a meal, especially when Singh's is just a twenty minute walk away and there you can eat in an actual restaurant instead of a sports bar for less. If you're the typical British tourist that Riga hates, then congratulations: this is the place for you. If not, you can do better, and in 2019 this bar should be doing better.

In our restaurant you can taste famous beer sausages, delicious Shpiz, traditional beer snacks, and, of course, our specialty - the Stargorod knee. The Brand Chef of "Stargorod" breweries chain, is a professional chef in the third generation. The man, who
The staff was very kind and explained all the details for first coming customers. The waitress recommended the 7,90⬠offer, where you can basicly "drink as much beer as you want" and it was worth it. The food was excellent: the pork really melted in my mouth and the sausages were probably the tastiest I've ever had.We sat at the terrace, on the side of the smokers. The was no clear "line" between the smokers and non smokers, but the staff did ask for the information and recommended sitting on the certain side. This was nice for the families, that had kids with them, so nice thinking. Over all tidynes was good and I felt secure to have my lunch here. There's plenty of sitting room inside too, even for the bigger gruoups. You can really enjoy here, no matter who you are or who you're traveling with. Thank you for your review! We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed time at our restaurant!

Easy Beer will be a good start if you want more than just "go for a beer," because it is a place where you can not only get to know the beer deeper but can also talk about it. More precisely, "Easy Beer" is a beer grill bar/restaurant with the first "beer
First place we visited because of the concept of drawing your own beer. Food was very meh, I ordered the ramen and the broth was so tasteless I wasnt interested in finishing it. My meal was also missing and containing some ingredients not listed on the menu. I got carrots instead of chashu. We where also pretty disappointed with their beer menu, that was printed on paper but not updated.

With certain bar/waiter (not many females) staff, they don't always bother to give attentive service, They don't seem worried about maintaining a good reputation for service (as per past reviews). I guess that their location in a heavy footfall area (ie lots of potential customers) + beer, has led to a couldn't care less (almost superior) attitude in some. Is this due to the behaviour of certain Brit's let loose in Riga?, A reputation now extended to all Brit's? So sad, especially as Bon Vivant (ironically meaning the Good Life) offers great food in a bierkeller atmosphere (but a bierkeller chopped up in different 'rooms, which makes it feel more intimate)' That atmosphere is attractive, and worth the experience of a visit to the bar/restaurant..Ignore some of the wait staff.

KwakInn Club is the bar chain. We have Belgian beer caffe and 'Les Frites' diner. All of them become the real ambassador of Belgian beer and cuisine tradition. Kwakinn Club means good beer, good service and good atmosphere!
We stopped here to get a break from the lager fest that is Riga. The beer selection was vast and included a good number of my Belgian favorites. Obviously the prices were a little higher given the beer quality and the old city location. I would recommend for Belgian beer lovers. Thanks!
