Come to The Singing Chocker regularly with my little girl and partner. We think the food is good quality for the price, drinks are reasonably priced, it's clean and the staff all seem friendly my partner has completed a couple of the food challenges they offer and finds them good fun tooLovely to read your comments about your experience, I'll make sure to pass them on to the rest of the team. Wednesday night carvery was very good at only £6Plenty of meat choice and plenty of it. Beef and Pork were excellent. Veg were slightly overcooked and roast potatoes were nice.Good range of desserts at £1 were great value. Choc orange sponge was very tasty

Having been to a funeral in the Leeds area we were looking for somewhere for evening meal. Having stopped at nearby traffic lights spotted the Fox and Hounds so decided to pull in. Staff very welcoming. Good menu choice. Adequate sized portions well cooked and presented. This is not a cheap eats pub but prices are realistic.All food and drinks must be ordered and paid for at the bar.Exceptionally clean toilets.Only a short detour from the A1 so if ever in the area again looking for food would certainly return.

Visited the new wheatsheaf for a family meal for my wifeâs birthday on a Sunday afternoon we had a table set for twelve and a space allocated for a pram forlatest great grandchild as requested we all chose the Sunday special the starters were served promptly and very tasty all the main course was carvery nicely cooked and freshly prepared and plentiful the pudding choice was varied and well presented overall to say how busy it was the staff coped very well with our party keeping us well provided with drinks ect and the new play area for children to enjoy is a bonus

So Iâve used this establishment for drinks with friends quite frequently, but never tasted the food! On Sunday we went for Sunday lunch after hearing excellent reviews following a new chef & menu being in place! Wow - the food was the nicest Iâve had for a long time, a beautifully presented Sunday lunch! Cooked perfect and so tasty! The portions are massive and I could have easily had my childâs size - we ate everything as it was just delicious!The service was brilliant, very at-tentative and balanced with quick service without rushing you! Karen the restaurant manager was amazing, explained everything we asked and was professional with a friendly welcoming warmth! Well done the electric theatre I sincerely wish you well - hard work builds great custom and happy staff bring happy people! Obviously we will be back! Thank you Karen amazing service along with the bar staff and chef you have a gem of a team! I hope the owners see this and reflect their thanks to you x

Had visited here on a number of occasions and food always been good. However feel that more recently quality and standard of food and service have deteriorated. We had booked a table for 5 yesterday and felt that they could not wait to get us of our table quick enough. Two member of staff came over twice whilst one of the party were still eating which is extremely rude. We did not realise we had to eat and run!! We could see the staff discussing our table which is a bit offputting so unfortunately we wont be going there again.

I ate here when staying in the adjoining hotel for work. The service was quick, efficient and attentive. The food was great, with generous servings. Unfortunately, I cannot attest to the puddings as the soup and then the steak pie were sufficiently filling!Breakfast in the morning was also good.No need to travel elsewhere if staying in the hotel.
