The plough was highly recommended to us as somewhere we could eat with our dogs. It was a pleasant pub, the staff were good and the food was good. If youre in the area or passing by then you will get a decent meal but I would say that you will find a similar quality and style of country pub quite readily.

This is definitely a localsâ pub but, having said that, we were made to feel very welcome. It was very busy as they had just had a Sunday afternoon music session. Itâs got stacks of olde worlde charm and you could just imagine the mariners and smugglers who must have frequented the bar over the hundreds of years it has been a hostelry.

Chanced the Black Swan for our last meal of our family holiday. Lovely place, really busy with a lovely atmosphere. We were served by a lovely lad called Adam, very shy but very polite. He got our order spot on and the food was very nice. Good sized portions, a little too much for us!! Will be back next year.

A lovely few days staying at this charming old pub. Polperro is a beautiful fishing village overlooking an old harbour - itâs like a Cornish Brigadoon! The noughts and crosses pub is authentically quaint. The barman is friendly and it is run by a lovely couple who are so welcoming . We had huge breakfasts which were adapted to our requests and a lovely supper . Our room was very comfortable, clean and freshly decorated. Will certainly return - a super pub in a beautiful setting .

We enjoyed our meal here this evening. We weren't even going to eat here but another restaurant over the road card machine wasn't working. I had a nice cajan chicken pizza and the wife had lasagne and chips. Reasonable price and nice atmosphere. Cheers

We ate here a couple of times during our week visit to Polperro and have nothing but good to say about it. The food served on both occasions was fabulous, more than youâd expect from a pub and the waiting and bar staff were all polite and very friendly. We cannot recommend this place enough and look forward to going back on our next visit to Polperro.
