Pegeia (also spelt Peyia; Greek: Πέγεια) is a town in the Paphos District of Cyprus. Pegeia is situated mainly on the steep slopes of the coastal hills inland from Coral Bay, at the southern end of the Akamas Peninsula, and it lies 14 km north of Paphos. It has a large population of British ex-pats and a growing number of holiday homes and apartments. In the town centre can be found a town hall, church, police station and several small shops, restaurants and banks. Due to its hillside location many parts of the town offer views over Coral Bay and Paphos.

Friendly local British pub located close to the sandy beaches of Coral Bay, Paphos. Open daily, all through the year, offering good food, an extensive range of beers, wines and spirits, The Hole in the Wall brings you live entertainment, great company and
We have been using this place regularly since it opened and always enjoy the place but our last visit was extremely disappointing. A group of us visited for the food and entertainment - firstly none of the fish on the menu was available, then, after asking if a lamb shank could be cooked without any mint, it was served with mint and finally very early in the evening they ran out of beer. Service for other drinks during the evening was poor. The evening was only saved by the excellent entertainment - the very talented Chris Andre.

âOne of a kind meeting placeâ At the New Horizon Pub you can enjoy and experience our quality home made food by our British Chef, listen to fabulous music selections, sit back and relax with an exotic cocktail or settle down with a pint of our finest sele
The overall experience was okay and the place was very cozy and friendly. I only disliked the most the following. I ordered the "chicken breast" dish. Apart from the fact that i got my food after 55 min, the portion was "for laughs". They obviously run out of the main ingredient.. They could at least inform me and change my order or apologise for the whole inconvenience. When the owner brought me the order, he even said Bon appetit. How can i enjoy my food, when there is almost non..

Childrenâs party was chaotic and badly organised. The owners werenât set up at 4pm they had no change or drinks stacked ready for the party just kept disappearing out the back each time a soft drink was ordered totally bizarre. The owner Fred actually was seen leaving the venue shortly before 5pm!Children were in danger running around without adult supervision in the rear car park in a so called Play area which isnât fenced or sectioned off from the car park!! Itâs badly planned cars were reversing with children close by. The play area is poor no protection underneath slide area straight on to horrible gravel. The party was delayed starting should have been at 4pm didnât get going until 4.40 with a Pirate entertainer. Music wasnât even Spotify premium had to suffer adverts in background. The food was appalling the worst cheapest food ever! No supervision either it was just grab what you could and it ran out! Kids got pushed out the way if the were polite and queuing. Utterly shambolic if you canât organise a kids party no wonder your empty 99% of the time! Dear AjlkylaFirstly thank you for taking the time to submit your review, however as per your review in December 2017 you state that we donât serve wines from Cyprus, when in fact we only stock wines from Cyprus. I Feel this review is also incorrect. For a start the childrenâs party was held inside the restaurant, and yes pirate pat was running late and as soon as he was ready we called all children in. As for leaving the bar to get drinks this is due to our drinks fridge being out the back, and yes change was running low paying each time for a 1.50 drink with 10 Euros not sure bank of Cyprus could of kept up so yes I went to get change, as for in danger of no adult supervision we never said this was a drop off and leave your children party, your children are your responsibility and from the comments of a lot of people attending the party the kids had a great time and enjoyed the afternoon. As for the food we put out enough food for the children, however some adults helped themselves and got angry when we said the was for the kids. We then made more to feed the ones that didnât get food. So far as it being cheap that is certainly not the case but we wont get into that. Itâs very clear you have an issue with us, for what reason we have no idea. If the party was so bad why have we been asked by a lot of the parents to arrange a kids disco on a regular basis.

Never have I been so shocked at the rudeness and ignorance of a waitress! Shouldâve walked straight back out from the off! Gave her the benefit of the doubt and she did nothing but disappointment further! Eye rolling, snapping and utter sarcasm when we complained! Shame one person can instigate a bad review! Wouldnât even have given it one star if trip advisor was set for zero stars! Good luck if you dare enter! âIf I have to bring my common sense down to her reasoning, it would be suicidal! She my friends is marinated in ignorance!â

My family have been going to Marioâs for years. He does great drinks and his whole family is involved in serving you.If you fancy good value drinks, friendly warm service and a bit of lunch this is the place to visit. You even get crisps or nuts with your drinks and the atmosphere is very relaxing. Definitely worth a stop for value for money drinks and the friendly atmosphere.

This place has really tapped into what everyone wants. Firstly the food is a mix of food from burgers and pizzas to the more traditional chicken kebabs and moussaka. I highly recommend the grilled chicken so tasty and so much of it. For youngsters who may want an escape there is a pool table and for football lovers, a different match on each screen, catering for every fan. The couple who run this restaurant are warm, friendly and attentive as are the staff. Whether you are on your own or with family and friends it is a comfortable place to visit have a drink or a meal.

Situated just 500 metres from Coral Beach, you will find The Frog & Toad, a typically English pub. Friendly to all who step through the doors and a place you can bring your family. We don't pretend to be something we are not and our aim is to provide you w
We have been coming to Coral Bay for many years and have used the F&T for beers and lunch on occasion. The establishment is local, food is pub food and good and the beer is cold. What else could we want I hear you ask!?Well many of the waitresses here are quite unfriendly and depressed looking (apart from Deborah who is very cheery, friendly and happy to help). The main reason we feel that. the majority of staff look unhappy is the manager. We have also noticed he talks to people like regulars, but not those who just drop in now and then, I feel this is a mistake, it would be nice to see him smile now and again too and mingle and have a conversation with all his customers! The main reason for the poor score is what I have mentioned above but also about the following:- every day for the past couple of weeks a Russian family have been eating and drinking in the restaurant at lunch time. They complain every day, look miserable and are rude to the staff we have noticed time and time again, but the manager cannot do enough offering his time, conversation and offering them a table for each Sunday lunch in F&T. Canât do enough for them but ignoring other customers. Example of this is:- We were in for a light lunch. We asked for a roll and sausage x2, as did other customers, also orders for burgers but were told there were no rolls they hadnât been ordered. Staff also approached the manager, he was drinking a pint and didnât seem bothered. We had to take a sandwich instead and other guests ordered other options..... HOWEVER, the Russian family then came in and asked for burgers for lunch. The staff then informed the boss, and guess what, he left in his car and came back with rolls! I find this completely infuriating and was very annoyed. Managing a bar is not easy, we understand this, but this behaviour is not appreciated by other diners and we certainly were not the only diners noticing this behaviour! And a smile doesnât cost much either!Thank you for taking the time to write and record you findings on each occasion you visited our establishment. We have taken on board everything that has been said. Its very sad that you have found us unfriendl but I can assure you that our staff are happy to be part of our team, even when under extreme pressure. Our staff work extremely hard right through the summer session in high temperatures without complaining but even the best staff can have moments of lapse. We trust you will continue to enjoy your time in Cyprus and hope that the times in the Frog haven't tainted your holiday in any way.

Chalkie's Bar is a British owned and operated bar in the heart of Coral Bay , serving reasonably priced drinks and meals. Our Breakfast is the envy of all our competitors and a major hit with our regular customers and tourists alike. Served from 9.00am un
Horrible food- Not family friendlyWhen you walk in to a place and the waitress is sitting there drinking frappe and smoking a vape! then she gets up to serve you.I went with my family including two children. We were not impressed on arrival but the kids were really hungry so we just decided to give it a go.We sat inside because the tables outside were all full of smokers, so we were forced to sit inside, as didnât want the kids inhaling the smoke, so itâs not really family friendly! We got breakfast, but I have to admit the portions are very small, and itâs not even cooked properly! The eggs definitely needed another minute or two, still slimy, the bacon had white bits on it where the grill hadnât been cleaned out properly, the beans were cold, and half a tomato!Looking around the place, it was disorganised, no napkins on the table, the windows are that dirty you canât even see out of them! Not a pleasant experience wonât be going again.Sometimes we reed our reviews and take them on face value, other times we look a little deeper and find out that some people are just malicious.Firstly, staff do not smoke or vape at the front of the bar, they all have to go to the back door area in the car park.Every bar, restaurant in Europe allows smoking outside, we are no exception so by your standards then every establishment is not "Family Friendly". We don't make the laws, we just apply them. You suggest that our portions are small when every other review states how big our portions are!! Our standard breakfast consists of 1 egg, 1 rasher of bacon, 1 sausage, Baked beans, grilled tomato, 1 slice of fried bread and one thick cut slice of toast. Our large breakfast consists of two eggs, two bacon, 2 sausages, beans, mushrooms, fried bread and thick cut toast. Hardly small portions are they? You mention no napkins on the table, if you had actually been here and eaten you would have known that they are brought to the table with the cutlery!!And to your final point, we have a window cleaner who comes every Saturday and cleans all the folding glass doors as we do not have any windows!! The doors are all opened and folded back on themselves at 9 am when we open and they remain that way until 2am when we close them at the end of the night. So if you had been in the bar you would have known that there are no windows. Finally It is my opinion that you have not eaten at Chalkie's you are simply putting a review on to effect our business which is a very sad thing to do.In summary, customers smoking outside is not an issue within our control as legally they are entitled too. Our portions are not small as proven above, all our reviews state how good our food is but you have decided that it's not cooked properly. You mention no napkins when clearly they are brought to you with your cutlery and then you state that our windows are dirty when we don't have any!! Really!!!!
