Things to do in Parkville
A tyical old suburban community tavern in Northern Baltimore County. Customers have been coming for years. Food is good basic Maryland pub food.
I have eaten here three times now, and each time I am amazed at the extent of the culinary skills of the resident chef. It is evident that he must have had some type of culinary training. His meals are superbly cooked, beautifully presented and best of all taste wonderful. His hot beef and home fries are to die for. The prime rib rivals some of the better restaurants. My husband loves the Captain Crunch chicken and the wings. I had a wonderful Rachael (corned beef, cole slaw and thousand island). And let me tell you that every week this guy come sup with a special dessert that are soooo good. So far i have had smores nachos (to die for!), lemon bread pudding (so yummy) and chocolate bread pudding (wonderful!). The friends we have taken there feel the same way. This is a tavern so it may be a little loud at times, but the food is well worth it. If you are looking for a little neighborhood eatery to enjoy, by all means give it a try, you I hope will be much amazed as was I at the quality of food that you will get there! I am now going back to check out the burgers and shrimp...can't wait!! Enjoy :)
My wife and I have been there several times. It always has a nice mix of families, couples and friends. It's kinda of a neighborhood sports bar with a good selection of food and beers. We have looked at the menu and we've heard from friends how good the food is.Unfortunately we have never stayed more than a beer or two. It seems they always play the jukebox at near ear bleed level. The first couple times, we thought it was a particular bartender, then we find it's like that all the time. We usually take a piece of paper napkin and scrunch it in our ears. It helps, but we usually leave to find a place where we can talk.

This family owned business is managed on a daily basis by Maria and Adam who have great passion for fun and entertainment. McAvoyâs strives to be friendly and fun place for our patrons to gather with a great food menu, a variety of draft beers, and a full
The crabs and burgers are good here. I have been here many times (participating in a league) and have dinner once a week. "Free" refills means up to 3 times, then you get charged again. Spinach is considered a "special" vegetable and you're charged 2.00 extra! Often the food (chili, and other soups) arrive lukewarm, not hot. In our group we have noticed the servers (who are friendly) change constantly. I wouldn't recommend it except for crabs and burgers (which arrive consistently rare, regardless of what you order).

Visiting Baltimore, luckily we found this pub\restaurant within a short walk from our hotel as we had a bucket of domestics and the special Chicken Pot Pie and Buffalo Spicey Chicken. The pot pie was huge and delicious stuffed with big pieces of chicken, potatoes, peas and carrots with the most delicious pastry crust on top which just melted in your mouth. The Pizza was also very good having a good crust and the chicken was the right spice level. There seemed to be a lot of locals visiting and I wished i lived in the area so we could come back next week.Thank you so much for giving us a try!We absolutely love making new friends, as much as seeing familiar ones. Our team is delighted to hear that you enjoyed your meal, and we hope that you'll get a chance to visit us again the next time you are in the area. Thanks again for the great five star review, and take care.

Hundfutter. DOG FOOD. Frozen schnitzel. Potato salad, spaetzle, red cabbage, cooked to tasteless mush. Goulash soup is mushy potatoes, undercooked carrot and the vaguest hint of beef in mystery hot sauce. Binkert's brats, always good. Large, if pricey beer selection. Never again.

Hamilton Tavern is home to one of the best burgers you will find in Baltimore. Get it with bacon and egg, and don't put anything else on it other than what it comes with. If it was supposed to have may and ketchup etc it would already be on there. You see what I am saying right? They also have some of the best fried chicken you will ever eat. Along with a changing seasonal menu, you will find a great selection of local and regional beers on tap. This is a tavern, not a bar. You will not find 10 big screens showing all the games. If there is a game on, it's on one modest little screen, and the only thing on it, is dem O's hon.

I wasn't expecting much when my son suggested this spot for lunch. The building is on a down on it's luck stretch on Belair Rd. and is nothing fancy. Parking lot full of pot holes.Nonetheless, the food was very good. I started with a half-half soup: traditional Maryland Crab Soup, full of veggie, floating on top of Cream of Crab. Loads of crab meat. The soft shell sandwich was excellent. Fries dusted with Old Bay. Cold Natty Boh on draft. Ah, yes. The Land of Pleasant Living, indeed.

"McFaul's" provides an Irish undertone and a subtle insight into the atmosphere and cuisine we will provide. "IRONHORSE" was a term used by Native Americans to describe locomotives and will emphasize the Ma & Pa Railroad heritage. "IRONHORSE" is also a re
McFaul's Iron Horse Tavern is a good place with a very nice setting. The service was very slow-the hostess was busy so we had to wait to be seated and the waiter was overwhelmed so the service was a little off.The restaurant setting is very nice and the porch is a good place to sit on a nice day.Thank you for your feedback and review. We are so sorry to hear the service was slow. We hope you enjoyed you food and we look forward ro seeing you back soon.

Thanks to all the tripadvisor reviews we ended up going down to Baltimore for one night from Hershey, PA. Our quest was for the best crab cake and our mission was accomplished.Location is outside of Baltimore close to Morgan State in a little neighborhood corner bar. I love corner bars so it was right up my alley. Parking was hard to find - FYI.Now my wife and I lived in Delaware for a few years and would drive down to the Inner Harbor a few times a month. Love the Italian area and Fell's point. Have been eating Maryland Crabs and Crab Cakes for over 20 years. Used to go to Obrickys (??) before they closed down around 10 years ago, maybe more? Anyway, Koco's crab cakes are the best hand's down we have ever had. They are an 11 ounce softball size ball of 95% crab meat with 5% breaded filler to hold them together. Now they are expensive until you put into perspective:1 - they are huge and one crab cake is enough for two people. That said I would never share mine :)2- some things are worth and these are! My wife made a very good point when we were debating to order 6 to take home! She said you know you pay $25 for a lobster roll on a small hot dog bun and little lobster meat, so true. Plus we like Crab better then Lobster anyway. We were going to give two crab cakes to our neighbors across the street and two to the neighbors right next to use becuase we all have dinner/drinks at each others houses routinely. We ended up only saving 2 and when we had them over that week we just served the two as an appetizer. They could not believe how good they are.I will never go back to Baltimore again without a first stop to Koco's. In fact, I might look for a Marriott (my go to hotel chain) as close to Koco's as possible and go there both days and maybe go to the inner harbor :)
