They serve up what everyone serves up. Standard bar food staples remain the same. They use the common bar menu offerings to satisfy the customers and maximize their profits. French friesOnion ringsNachosWingsQuesadillasBurgersRibs and wingssteaksIt;s what everyone else does because you can't go wrong with these. It's a chain restaurant.Service is what you expect. prices are what you expect. Industry standard. Nothing unique here. Food for the masses.

There is no "I" in our team!People are talking... from Durhamâs best chicken wings (really, thatâs what they say) to sandwiches that are big enough to share to pasta dishes like you have never tasted before and entrees that look like they belong downtown
A Wednesday afternoon, about 1PM ; only a few occupied tables in the large space ; I think it draws mostly in the evening when sports are on TV. The service was very good provided by a friendly waitress ; the table ware is clean ; the table and chairs are clean too. The washroom is also clean. This road house style restaurant seems about typical ; loud music ; plenty large screens to watch sports ; high tables ; ... and so-so food. Along with the sandwich I had a Coors draft ; cost came to about $25 incl tip.Allen-y-doncThx for sharing your visit and your comments. We are a very busy place mid afternoon through the evening as you mention well known for our food and atmosphere. I am disappointed that we didnât leave you with that impression. Hopefully you will come and see us again to see that we can do much better. Sorry that, that didnât happen this time. Best,

At Whisky John's we have built a reputation for our warm, fun and friendly atmosphere, award winning wings and the place to celebrate your special occasions! We are fully licensed, including the attractive outdoor patio, and our new menu contains a variet
I drive past Whisky John's several times a week because my son has games/practices at the Oshawa Civic which is just around the corner. Tonight 4 parents decided to gather before our sons' practice. Tonight wings were 69 cents (Tuesdays and Thursdays) each, or a pound for just over $4. We sat out on the patio. Our server was wonderful...gave us more time than needed to order drinks and then came back for the food orders. For me, a pound of suicide wings (closer to hot) and 2 pints of Guinness was only $20. I paid $33 for the same at another restaurant a block away last week. Needless to say, Whisky John's will be our regular pre-practice meeting spot from now on.

A great spot in downtown Oshawa. Beside a municipal parking building and directly across from the Oshawa General Motor Centre. Convenient to the Regent Theatre. This is a great multi-floor establishment that has live music on the weekends. We specialize i
I WOULD TYPICALLY GIVE A BETTER RATING, BUT TONIGHT WAS UNREAL! It could be a great place to eat and play some pool if it wasn't for the ignorant staff. Went to play some pool on Wednesday the 18th of July, 2018. I brought a friend of mine and we were absolutely not impressed with the bartender/server. I use those words loosely. She had no interest in patrons unless she knew them. She spent more time chatting than fulfilling simple requests. Ie: another drink, a to-go container, the bill! I've been there before and the level of service shown tonight was inexcusable! Disgusting.

I love coming for the Village Salad and fresh specials. Old school, peanuts that can be shucked to the floor. Staff and repeat customers are pleasant to see even after a year since last visit. Quaint and accommodating.

We went out for chicken wings. The waitress was friendly. We ordered chicken wings. One order was medium and the order we asked for sweet chili thai. Our order came pad thai. Our waitress wasn't arouind to complain about the wrong taste of wings. We ate it anyway but had a curry taste which I don't care for. Any case, it was good generous size chicken wings.Hard to get attention from the waitress even though the restaurnat was not busy at all. Even to pay our bill she just disappeared. We did order drinks, etc..We gave our bill to another waitress with tip. Oh well....

Always amazing food and a friendly atmosphere with a good selection of drinks. Excellent food at a very reasonable price. The owner is usually there throughout the day working the bar, always brings me a good laugh.

Our family goes regularly, and it seems like the pub has changed for the worse lately. A menu change has decreased the quality of the food in our opinion. Especially on the kids menu. The Mac and Cheese look like itâs just Kraft dinner thatâs sat under a heat lamp for the day.The wings are still awesome, which is the main reason we go.
