What a great place! This pub serves delicious home cooked meals and has a great menu choice. Desserts are fantastic and the service is just right. Always greeted with a warm welcome and nothing too much trouble. Staff are lovely. Thank you

Visited this lovely pub over a few days. Staff were fantastic and so was the food. Portions were amazing, the menu was variad and the specials board inspiring. Not a high end restaurant but a great pub that genuinely wants to provide great food and a great experience for its customers....really big beer garden too!

Medina Quay is situated by the River Medina in Newport. We have lovely views overlooking the river and a garden to enjoy too. Food served daily, starting from 6.30am during the week and 7am at weekends. Full table service is offered when dining with us. C

While staying for a 3 night break at the adjacent Premier Inn we had breakfast each day and evening meals on 2 nightsThe breakfasts were superb with the food cooked in small batches so not the usual cold food problems.The 2 evening meals were similarly very good, and on 1 night I had the fillet steak which was cooked absolutely perfect, I like a steak medium to rare and this matched the order perfectly The staff were attentive and friendly, even on the 2nd night there was a shortage of staff but didnt cause any problems

My family, a party of ten people arrived at the pub at 1:30 on a Sunday. The pub was very busy with Sunday lunch orders and we hadnât booked. The staff were lovely. They found us a table and we were served quickly. The goodbye was reasonably priced and was delicious. Thanks to the staff for a lovely experience.Thank you for your review.Sundays are always very popular due to our carvery. However, we will always try and squeeze people in where possible, albeit on this occasion across two adjacent tables.We're glad to hear you enjoyed your experience and hope to welcome you back in the future.

Lovely little country pub with separate dining area. Decor is fine, the restaurant area looks very recently done in fact. We had smoked haddock and the steak special, both very tasty, nicely presented. Good pub fare at a reasonable price. We shared slice of chocolate/strawberry cheesecake which was light and pleasing. Coffee average but fine with dessert. We booked ahead and the lady on the phone was very pleasant. All staff friendly and welcoming making for a very nice evening meal. Doorway in was a little tight to accommodate a wheelchair but manageable with care and ramp up helped. Highly recommended based on this visit.

The quality of food is fantastic it doesn't matter what time you arrive in cooking times the food is perfect taste and Presentation is always perfect the staff work hard to deliver a first class meal and excellent service would eat eat here daily Thank you for your lovely review! Working on the island for a week and fancied a burger with a bit extra so found the smoke house. Got luck as it is supposed to be shut for a refurb Great burgers and a huge portion of fries Really enjoyed the evening

We recently held a birthday celebration for 25 family and friends which proved to be excellent in every respect.There was nothing not to like about our experience and our guests feedback was all very positive . The menu offered a good range of options and the wine we chose was to everyones liking.The service was judged perfectly which for the numbers involved was testament to John and his team - so a big thank you to you all !

Large pub with still a lot of character due to all the sailing memorabilia. An extensive menu is available (Breakfast, sandwiches, baguettes, burgers, main meals including steaks ) and a specials board as well so Lots to choose from for everyone. It was busy at lunch time so we had to wait a little to place our order , but the food was served quickly. The facilities were clean so would happily return if I was in the area. Thank you for your review, it was good to hear that you enjoyed your visit to our pub.

Welcoming and friendly staff as soon as you enter the door which is always appreciated despite it being busy, love this quirky old pub anyway but food was great. There were 8 of us booked at short notice, everyone was delighted with their food. We'll be back!
