We were looking for a snack and beer before getting on the Skytrain and peeked into the patio - this would be a noisy dark little area had someone not had the foresight to install a fire pit and cosy furniture with twinkling lights above. You can still hear the Skytrain, but it melts into the background eventually. Inside it's a typical sports bar which isn't to my taste, but was busy so obviously well used. Service was great and there is an ample line-up of local beers - I chose a Parallel 49 which happens to be a favourite. The food was o.k. - my friend enjoyed mac & cheese. My chicken wrap was a little too sloppy, fell apart and had to be eaten with knife and fork.. My total came to $24 with tip.

One of the few working men's pubs in the plethora of yuppie places. This place actually has a bit of character - something missing from many of the "chain" type places that tend to mimic each other. Not very big, but "happy hour" prices, free newspapers, clean washroom, and friendly staff.

We didnât really know what to expect when we tried this restaurant. It seemed quite busy and far too crowed. Tables and people were in such close proximity that it was uncomfortable. We were ushered to a somewhat enclosed terrace. New Westminster in January is not necessarily warm so we were a tad chilly, although there were several heaters in operation and they provided blankets. The menu was basic and perhaps a little pricey but not too much so. The bathroom was clean(ish) and in a very central spot - you almost had to trip over people getting there and out. However, the service was excellent and food tasty. I canât say I was overly impressed but we were certainly not disappointed with the food or the beer. We may have to try this chain at another location before we make any real determination.

Stopped in for lunch. They always have specials here. Appys cheaper at happy hour. 3-6. Lots of beer on sale. Daily drink special. No well specials. They do have a dbl jack special. Its not jack daniels. Its named after the pub. Food is average priced but their specials are worth it. I had triple cheese grilled sandwich an dtomato bisque for under $10. My wife had an open faced steak sandwich on garlic roll with caesar salad and fries for $12.50. The space is divided into several rooms separated by wood and glass. Easy access and seating for wheel chairs. Lots of wood. Classic english snug feel. Live bands on the weekend. This is a great localBlue collar bar.

The search for something to do in New Westminster after dark, or in my case after rehearsal, continues. This place is advertised as having live music every night. Dropped by on the way home, found the music not to my taste, but nevertheless hard driving rock.Folsom Prison Blues was surprisingly good. But, please check the website to make sure the genre(s) you like are playing the night you wish to go.Friendly service, good beer, clean restroom. I'll try it again when an R&B group is in-house

We came here during a UFC fight night event. My brothers always go here for these events. My first time, and the food was great. The service was stellar. Our server was Nicole, and she anticipated ahead of time every refill, and came by regularly to check up on us. Great atmosphere here with the ability to watch multiple games at the same time. The food is quite good and the servers are friendly. I would recommend this as a regular stop.

After along meeting with my business friends , the 4 pm traffic is so busy , so, we dropped by have a quick snake,the Pub is downtown New Westminster ,rough area ,out side building looks very scuzzy and uninviting ,(I almost left ),but surprise inside the pub is very clean and moderate ,it is Wed 4pm ,,the place almost FULL ! ?? very noisy ,I seen a lot of locals here ,every body very friendly ,the staff is excellent ,seat us down ,and telling us what is good on the menu ,and wed's special is CHICKEN WINGS !!!!!! the food's quality not too shabby , the steak is not too bad , well ,I will drop in again if I am in the area ! Good Food ! Good friendly Staff ! Good Size Chicken Wings !

I do not know what to write about this Pub , since my last visit almost two years ago , the service have not improved at all ! 6 pm the patio only have not more them five tablets with customers , some tablets still dirty ,and looks like a new management or owner ? new menu ,and a lot of new faces ,we wait less over 5 mins ,before our server show up , no greeting or smile ,my friend ask her what is the special to day ? she look at us and said ,there is a board inside the restaurant ,you can have a look ,I do not remember all the stuff going on here ,and walk away , We both was SHOCK !!!!!!!! I almost got up and leave ,but my friend is so sluggish after over 10 hours fight from Hong Kong ! ( she stay at the Inn next door ) finally our server shown up ,and took our order and drinks , and did nor come back to check or see if we need anything ! until we ask for the bill ,there is no serviettes ,no plat , no bucket to put the chicken bones in ! the other girl (Runner ) ,so nice ,got us every things we need ,and apologize about it ! we have to wait less over 10 mins for our bill ,and she think she will get 10% trip ,No Way ! Senorita ! now I known none of my friends go there any more ,and it is for sure I will not coming back , there is so many nice Pub around New Westminster , so wake up owner ,train your staff for better customer service before you closed the door !

If you like cold beer and pub food this is the place for you. If you want a little history of the area grab a drink and wonder through the pub and read. Service is good but it does take time for the food to come. I had the steak pita wrap. the steak was good but the rest of the filling is limited. I would definitely return because of the ambiance. New Westminister has a neat history which is honoured by this pub.Thank you for your great review, we are happy that you enjoyed your experience with us!
