They have the best blue gills ever and huge portions. The pepper jack grilled chicken sandwich is really good too. My boyfriend loves the racket fries and I'm a wedge fry girl. The special sour cream to dip them in is awesome. It's a very family friendly bar/restaurant. Great prices also.

I'm giving this a 2, but only because of the property. On beautiful Lake Camelot in Nekoosa, WI, this bar is lakeside. You can come by car or boat. The downstairs is for the HOA, but the bar is open to the public. The have a Bloody Mary bar on Sat and Sunday until 2 and karaoke on Friday nights in season. The problem is the service. Absolutely, downright rude. In one instance, my friend was waiting more than 20 minutes to get us drinks. When a bartender walked past, he tried to flag her down. She looked at him and said 'I see you' rudely and walked away. They also ignore you. I've had people in 2 instances tell a bartender I was waiting longer. I'm polite and tip well. I now tip well at other places. Not a single bartender there this summer has treated anyone with respect. So, I prefer to spend my money elsewhere. And from how dead it can get it there, I'm guessing everyone else feels that, too. Bad servo is the worst kind of service. And I'm tired of it. We aren't even going to the Frolic this year, to avoid the same disaster the 5 year anniversary party was. We had a terrible time that day, because of bad staffing and lack of planning ahead.

Bar & Grill, full menu that has something for everyone
Trailâs End Bar & Grill has an address of Nekoosa but technically it is in the Town of Rome, Adams County. Trailâs End is a place where food and entertainment are the name of the game; an area abounding with natural beauty and some of the countryâs finest golf courses. Fishing and boating are available on nearby Petenwell flowage, along with lakes Arrowhead, Sherwood, and Camelot. Not far away lies Wisconsin Dells, home to Wisconsinâs âLargest Water Park In The World.â Trailâs End is usually a frenzy of activity and it is probably wise to make reservations ahead of time. The indoor area was full when I stopped by over Labor Day Weekend so I ate outside on their large outdoor patio and ate while listening to `Vadaâs Rockhouse, a local music group. My meal consisted of a fish fry and a 16â pizza â half cheese & sausage, and half pepperoni. The food was great, and my experience at Trails end was most pleasurable.Steven, thank you for your positive review and many compliments. We are so glad to hear that we were able to offer such a fantastic dining experience! We look forward to welcoming you back soon! Take care.

We have been going to the Lure since it opened. We love the setting, food and people. Wonderful dinner for everyone on Mother's Day! Very busy but on time and delicious. Tom and Joni designed this place to cater to everyone, kids and adults. Beautiful decor and property. Love to go there. Keep up the good work!!

Romanoâs is known for two things â the best pizza and a great view. Their pizza is made from the recipe of an Italian family from Chicago â the Romanoâs. Fresh quality ingredients are used to create outstanding homemade pizza. However, this pizzeria and pub offers more than just fine Italian cuisine. Fish fries and burgers are also available. As a matter of fact, I ordered a fish fry and then placed an order of Hawaiian pizza to go. It was sooo good! Romanoâs really draws a crowd â even with road construction going on nearby. And what a view during the summer with the blue bay out front and an island of trees for a back drop. The Fall season brings with it a kaleidoscope of brightly colored leaves in the nearby trees to the south. An area view is even quite stunning on crisp winter days, as moisture from `Devilâs Elbow mixes with frigid air to create a winter wonderland of Hoar Frost. Romanoâs is truly a special place with great people, great food, and a great view. Donât be deceived by road construction signs in the area, as Romanoâs can be accessed by coming from the north. And remember, a trip to Romanoâs is a trip for the very best.

I stepped into the bar from outside and the friendly face of a wait staff person appeared. She was relaxed and good natured even though the eatery was hopping with action. People were dining everywhere experiencing fabulous food at their tables. I had just gotten out of work myself and was still in my work shirt. The friendly faced gal told me it might take up to twenty minutes for me to be seated. I looked up at the menu on the wall and noticed bluegills as an entrée so I told her I was only one person and would sit anywhere. My attention was focused upon beautiful knotty pine boxcar siding throughout the room, along with the oak horseshoe bar. A voice brought me back to the moment at hand as the gal called my name. âSteve, would this spot work for you? There was a spot on the end of the bar where the bills were being made out but it looked fine to me. I picked up a menu and looked at the many options: appetizers, sandwiches, seafood, soup of the day, hand carved prime rib, southern fried chicken, prime & shrimp, homemade pizza, and daily specials. It all looked so good, but I was preoccupied with the idea of eating blue gills so that is what was ordered â a half pound of blue gills. The food arrived in no time at all. Steaming fries with the skins on; not hard and crunchy but just right, along with a dinner roll. The fillets were exquisite. Perfect, and as large as the palm of my hand. Tender white flesh wrapped in golden brown batter as thin as a dime. So light and flakey, a wonder to behold. I ate a couple of fillets along with the roll and fries. Soon only the filets were left, I savored each one and eventually dipped them into my side order of apple sauce. The semi sweetness added to the blue gill was pure heaven. A couple of older ladies had been watching all this time and finally one spoke up. She said, â I thought you did not like the fish because you stopped eating them. But now I realize you were saving the best for last.â Booneâs Saloon was a great experience, in part because of the friendly faces of the wait staff.

We are raising the bar in Bar food!
Who knew in the Middle of Wisconsin I would have the EXTREME PLEASURE of enjoying a MIRACULOUS BURGER......I will, in all future trips, find a way to get to this GEM......Only down side to this entire dining experience was the flies in the restaurant.....But even they could not hinder the JOY of the first bite.....The Unsweet Tea also was AMAZING......and the HOME MADE CHIPS were EPIC.....EllenHolmes67, we are so honored and pleased to receive this outstanding rating and review. We are so thrilled because we strive to make every aspect of our guests' dining experience to be top-notch. We sincerely appreciate your business and look forward to your next visit. Sincere thanks to you, EllenHolmes67.

Small place, with very friendly staff. We were from out of town playing golf and stopped by afterwards for dinner before driving back to Lake Arrowhead. Amy our waitress was very friendly, not rushing us and giving us prompt service once we placed our orders. Yea we were looked at when we walked in, as many locals go there and the staff knew them all by name as they served them, Worth the visit and eats were good
