Family-run local pub with a restaurant/dining side. We offer plenty of choice on draught - including cask ale - as well as wine, spirits, and soft drinks. We serve a full Thai and English menu from Tuesday - Saturday, and Sunday lunch on Sunday. Takeaways
Just been in here for Sunday lunch. Great portions we went for 3 courses. Best course had to be the pork dinner main. Pork was melt in the mouth. Came with yorkshire pud stuffing crackling and loads of perfectly cooked veg. New favorite place.

eat - drink - play - enjoy A multi-functional bar/restaurant situated in the heart of Morpeth, Northumberland. We have a diverse food menu operating throughout the week, and offer a varied and competitively priced bar range, including a great range of gin
A relative, who frequently eats out, rated this place 5 stars recently and so we decided to give it a go. Good Friday was a beautiful day and inside was cool and inviting. Unfortunately, apart from the friendliness of the staff, that's about the only good things I can mention. At the table we chose I had to exchange all of the seats as the bases on each chair had collapsed leaving no padding at all. The drinks arrived quickly. There were three adults and a young child in the party and we ordered three starters, three main meals and a child's meal. After the starters we waited, and waited, and waited!! As I went to the bar to enquire about our meals they eventually appeared. The fish on the two fish and chips was completely overcooked with the batter dark, very crisp and unappealing. The chips were also dark (5 x cooked??) and greasy. My granddaughter's meal had the same kind of chips and two hot dogs in a dry bread roll. Now she is a connoisseur if chips and even she struggled to eat more than a few!! The mince and dumpling was adequate but nothing outstanding. Needless to say we shall not be returning. This place has the potential to be a goldmine but not with the type of food we experienced today or the extremely long wait. Morpeth has a large amount of places to eat and competition is high. The Riverside Lodge really does need to up its game.

Public House, Restaurant and Bed and Breakfast.
Since new management took over the Dyke Neuk over a year ago it has continued to improve month on month. My wife and I stayed over on Saturday (31st August 2019) and have nothing but praise for the cleanliness and comfort of our room and the premises in general. The staff were polite, courteous and attentive and the evening food was served in well presented generous portions. I ordered the pork spare ribs and was not disappointed and I felt the same way about the full English breakfast served in the restaurant. There is a good selection of reasonably priced ales in the bar which was well attended mainly by locals who created a pleasant friendly atmosphere that kept us entertained until midnight. The Dyke Neuk is basically a Country puib/restaurant, offering above average accommodation, food and fine ales. We will certainly go back.Thank you for your lovely review. Itâs really good to hear great feedback for the team too! New management took over March 2018 & are delighted with the support of customers which couldnât be achieved without such a great team. We hope to see you again soon! :)

English pub and dining close to central Morpeth. Traditional pub food and grill. Famous for Sunday Lunch.
Another grill deal, another great evening. The staff here really are second to none, always helpful and polite and always friendly. Tonight we enjoyed another super meal, cooked to perfection and served with a smile. All the young waiting staff were lovely, and Ciara is always smiling and a pleasure to be served by!

We visited here on a very rainy day with my daughter and her boyfriend and their 14 week old lab pup. Iâve never really been a dog person so I was a bit apprehensive. They were so friendly and accommodating. Food was good and well priced and the whole experience very enjoyable. Would definitely recommend this place. Great staff nice atmosphere and good food. Thank you so much, hope to see you again.RegardsAnna

This really is one of the best pubs that we have been to. The bar staff and service were excellent, so friendly and made you feel very welcome. They were attentive without being bothersome. Now as for the food, the portions were so generous! But most importantly the food looked and tasted amazing. It is how I imagine oub food to be, familiar but done well which this pub does.Love the cosy and laid back atmosphere, we felt very comfortable and relaxed throughout the evening. We will be going there again for sure.

We are a traditional English country pub that nestles next to the river coquet in northumberland. Our food is a mix of bar and restaurant, and we try and source as much as possible from local suppliers.
Fantastic menu, something for everyone, comfortable dining room, excellent value lunchtime menu and friendly service. Nine of us had lunch here (fortunately we booked as the restaurant was very busy) and we'd definitely go again.

we do food every day Monday to Saturday from 11.30 to 3pm then 5pm to 9pm and on Sundays 12noon to 6.30pm
An extensive and varied menu with extra daily specials. Food was very good quality and the portions were very generous - my friend had a "small" portion and it wouls hardly fit on the plate!Staff efficient and friendly. For a Tuesday lunchtime in September, it was pretty busy with a steady stream of diners. Will certainly be back.
