Captain Bill's waterfront restaurant features award winning seafood in a rustic, casual and fun waterfront atmosphere. Recently voted "Best Seafood Restaurant" in the Best of Madison poll, Captain Bill's diners rave about the clam chowder, crab cakes and
Four of us were here for dining week, and we opted to sit outside. You can see the lake, but it's not really waterfront property. The chowder was thick and very good. My mixed salad had delicious strawberries. The "crisp" tomato stuffed with crabmeat was okay. All entrees came with asparagus, which was limp. Coconut shrimp, tenderloin topped with crab, and stuffed salmon were good, but the New York strip was a bit tough. Only two desserts were offered since a shipment hadn't come in. Both the cheesecake and lava cake were good. For some reason, our lava cakes did not come with the whipped cream that other diners had. Service was rather slow.

We head here frequently for the Friday night fish fry and really enjoy the walleye. Order the one-piece because the piece is so large that it typically extends beyond the edges of the plate! The strange thing is that you don't get an assigned server, but instead are served by 4-6 different staff each doing a different task. It's not a big deal, but if you have an issue you aren't sure exactly who to turn to for help

We are a combination cafe, bottle shop and tasting room, located in downtown Middleton, which brings a communal experience to craft beer and food. We offer 300 bottled beers, 13 rotating taps and a range of wines by the glass. Our menu is created from art
An enjoyable European style establishment. On busy nights, join a table and sit by some folks you have never met before. The tap list is never large, but is always quality. The available bottles cover most styles with plenty of quality choices. They also have some great tap takeover events. I really liked the fried chicken. Many of the other food options are quite tasty. The service leaves something to be desired. However, the food and beverage compensate well for it.

We have visited many Bonefish Grills across America. They are consistently well managed. As a national chain, the menu is consistent across locations. The Madison venue is less than five years old. It is pleasant with excellent lighting/decor/noise level. There is a bar area with seating capability. There is a private room. The large dining room has booths and tables. On this occasion, we ordered swordfish with pumpkin ravioli and pecan crusted trout with mashed potato and haricot vert beans. Both were very good. Wine list is acceptable. We had a very good Pinot Grigio from Italy (Bella Sera). It was moderately priced. Wait person was attentive and professional. Reservations are a must.

We often go to Tanner's for a pub-type meal when there is a sporting event on we don't want to miss while eating! The food is not great, but it's certainly as good as most of the area pubs. Prices are reasonable for what you get. Service is spotty; sometimes very good, and sometimes lax. Probably not a place to go if you are in a hurry. I think lots of folks go to sit for an entire game which can make getting a table challenging, and it certainly isn't an incentive for anyone to work there because tables would not be turning over frequently enough. That might account for the occasionally slow service. Last time there I had fish fry which was fine. My husband had the clam chowder which he thought was not made fresh in the kitchen but purchased by them already prepared. The nachos are pretty good and plentiful.

We always show up at this place close to closing time because it will give us time to sober up from the night before us and we know that the food will be exactly what we need. Greasy, carb loading and filling. The burgers and fries are always a great go-to and it seems like they have quite a few regulars. Don't take a date to impress here but if you are needing good bar food--this is the place to go.

Nice enough place with a varied craft beer selection My walleye sandwich was generous and delicious My wifeâs beet and goat cheese salad was basically a bowl of spinach- a few shredded beets and a minuscule amount of cheese- this in the state known for cheese Would probably give it another try but hopefully do better with selection of dinner entree- next time would send it back

When in town for an appointment, my husband and I Googled a place to have a quick bite for lunch. This was our stop. We seated ourselves at the bar. Serverice was fast and friendly. I had the veggie burger. All sandwiches had the option of a side salad--a nice, leafy green side salad. That was my choice for a side. It was a nice option beyond fries or iceberg. The bar had a good selection of liquors and tap beers as well. Loved the cozy atmosphere that is based on the name. It would fun to go to in winter while some snow falls. It would be very comfy cozy! All in all, a nice visit with good food and drinks!
