Went here today for Sunday Lunch. It was a carvery. We went for the 2 meat option (4 meats to chose from) which was £8.95 each. Good portion of meat and tasty Yorkshire pudding. Then you just help yourself to as much roasties, veg and mash as youâd like. The roasties were phenomenal. Lovely and crispy and full of flavour. Gravy was delicious and not too runny. We would definitely visit again!

Nice food. Slow service. Friendly barman. Easy to find. Limited parking. Sports on tv. Is the eating hangout for premier inn guests, which was the reason we were there as staying overnight at the Premier.

In a nutshell, the food is way over priced and simply not worth it. There is much better food at far more affordable prices in the Middlesbrough, Eston, Redcar area. The setting of Lazenby is nice and the Half Moon is very comfortable. You'll not have much of a problem getting a table. Service is very quick also which is a bonus and the place is nice and clean. Staff are also friendly. However, the meal prices are way too much for the quality of the food. A child's meal of fish fingers is 3 bird's eye type fingers with a hand full of chips (my child's were very greasy) and a small pot if beans for 6.50 is very bad value. I was expecting home made fingers. 10.99 for a fairly average (though generously cheesy) parmo with chips and a basic undressed salad is also not good value. Shame really as it's a lovely place. Thanks for your time to write this review, I really appreciate your feedback.I'd like to just clarify a few things on your review.... A child's meal comes with a dessert which I think you forgot about, you also forgot to mention that the lady in your party asked for the childs meal to be small as he doesn't eat a lot and also for the beans to be in a pot as your son does not like them to touch anything. I do apologise for them being greasy, I could see they where by the greasy hand marks wiped all over my light gray chair, this is not our usual standard and feedback has been given to the chef regarding this. The Home Made parmos are one of the most popular dishes in my menu. They do come in two sizes and you opted for the SMALL ONE. You could have doubled if not treble the size of this for an extra £2 but you declined. The salad.... We never dress our salads as most people don't like salad dressing. You where asked if you would like any dressing, sauces etc and you only asked for red sauce (ketchup). We also asked if your party would like anymore chips, vegetables, gravy and you all declined. You can find cheeper places to eat in this area but you will not get fresh vegetables, homemade chips or fresh local produce served to you along with table service. I'm sorry we did not live up to your expectations on this visit but hopefully you can try us again soon.

Visited here early evening recently as it has been quite a while since we had been. No more 'Groupon' offers now and the prices had been increased quite dramatically, the justification for this was because of competition from Olivellos and Central Park. These places are nothing like here, they don't have ripped chairs, mis matched table mats, better décor etc - this is not in the same league at all. The starters were quite nice but that's where it ended. The Cajun Chicken was so spicy and salty it was hardly edible, the Onion rings were bordering on burnt, the Parmo had way to much Béchamel Sauce on it that it had to be scraped off. All in all very disappointing and certainly not worth the increased prices.

Small friendly pub offering honest home cooked food.
We decided to come to the Gables at short notice mainly because they are dog friendlyOur party consisted of 2 OAP's 2 mothers 2 young children and a dog.We were greeted by Mark who could not do enough to make sure we had the best seats All the serving and bar staff were smiling and very pleasant and made a fuss of the kids and the dogA water bowl was produced from nowhere and treats were given to the dog and the kids were given a little colouring book and crayons which was a great touchOne of the girls made sure the tables were clean and passed out the cutleryThe food and drinks were ordered from the bar and were served quickly by the friendly waitressThe food was really good and exceptionally good valueWe were looking forward with trepidation to meeting Jo but she only made a fleeting detour into the eating area and immediately the kids were on their best behavior Ha Ha The car park was nearly full and this must say something about the Gables the food and staff to be that busy on a Tuesday evening.Give this place a try and make your own mind up. We did and were not disappointed.

We were recommended this restaurant by a friend while we were staying nearby. The dining room is attractive, comfortable, well laid out and pretty busy. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. I had crab in a curry sauce for starter which was a bit unusual but tasty. The sole I had for main course was also very good. We wanted so many of the desserts that we plumped for the shared selection of desserts option - what a great idea, why don't more restaurants do this? It leans towards the fine dining category for me.

Steven James Sticky Fingers Cafe/Bar is a music bar and eatery sitting beside Steven James Guitar and Amp Centre, on Linthorpe Rd Middlesbrough. We have created an enviroment where you can come and relax during the day with a glass of wine, craft beer or
I use this bar on a regular basis, once or twice a week, for a drink and a game of chess. It's friendly, the drinks are decent quality and reasonably priced, and the music is pretty good. However, this clearly depends on the person in charge of the bar. Today the barman on the mid-afternoon shift was clearly having a bad day. Depressing music and a depressing attitude which virtually chased us out of the place. However bad day your day there is no need to take out on the customers who help to pay your wages.Disappointing.Hi Alice, So so sorry to hear this, and would like to know what member of staff this was, as this is my business and i have a playlist of upbeat eclectc tunes that i insist are played for our customers, sorry you had a bad experience.. IT WILL NOT HAPPEN AGAIN!!Steven James.
