We are a friendly, local pub with great food and drinks offers. Pop in for breakfast, lunch or dinner to see for yourself!
The service here is chronically bad. The bar was covered in spilt drinks and used glasses; wine was served in a dirty glass and the bar staff seemed to think itâs acceptable. Food ordering when one member of staff is trying to serve drinks at the same time as checking their iPhone proved to be problematic. When the food finally arrived it was perfectly fine, though another member of staff asked âhow long will you be as we have a quiz later?â They seemingly wanted our table - is that a way to speak to customers? If they wanted the table why not reserve it?Sadly the pub has gone downhill. Where is the management?

Bridging the gap between country inn & local restaurant The White Oak is an independent and contemporary 'Gastro Pub' where the kitchen & service sets out to please. A L Carte & Set menus also decent value (£15/19 for two/three courses at lunch and dinner
Saturday lunch for 5. Starters superb. Chicken liver parfait and smoked mackerel pate excellent. Main courses great. Cannot comment on puddings as we didnt have any. Service excellent. Slightly expensive but still value for money. Definitely a place to return to.

Highly recommended. *****Thank you very much for your brilliant review Dale. Weâre so pleased you enjoyed your visit. A pub and butchers combo. Lovely atmosphere, pies and smash are simple and delicious, cardboard container, wooden cutlery, but works a treat and points the way ahead for fast food. Partly it's the quality, and partly it's simplicity, very short menu, decent choice of drinks. No bookings, turn up, sit down and order. Kerridge at pizza express prices.

The food was excellent. We had a fantastic family meal. My husband had the burger with a free pint (Monday night offer) and I had the chicken and chorizo skewer which was super tasty. Kids had spag bol, cheesy pasta and fish fingers - all clean plates plus yummy deserts. The tastiest family meal we have had in a long time plus fast friendly customer service. Highly recommend.hi there that is great to hear and thank you for taking the time to review we hope to see you all again soon Dave and team

Relax and enjoy great beers, fine wines and perhaps a lunch time sandwich or a succulent meal.
We stopped here for an impromptu Sunday lunch, and had a great meal. Service was great, staff were really friendly. Food was delicious and came out promptly. We had the calamari and brie to start and both went for the cola ribs and they were so yum! Would definitely recommend. I would say this is more resurant than pub and would think it would be lovely for an evening meal.

Located in the historic town of Marlow on the River Thames and surrounded by beautiful countryside, The Chequers is a stunning pub, designed to make you feel welcome from the moment you step through the door.
This lovely restaurant in the middle of Marlow High Street has a great atmosphere and offers good food at reasonable prices. We came here for Sunday lunch with our youngest daughter and her fiancee and immediately felt comfortable. The restaurant was busy and lively but not to the extent that it became claustrophobic. The food was really good (while not outstanding) and the service, although stretched at times, was always courteous and efficient. Particular mention must be made of the skin-on fries I had with my burger which were some of the best I have come across in a while. In short, we had a most enjoyable Sunday lunch here and I wouldn't hesitate to visit again.Hi Peter,We are very pleased with your delightful comments and rating, we always try our best to satisfy every guest.I will make sure the team read your review.hope to see you very soon Best regards Dominique & The Chequers Team
