Stopped in on a Saturday around 1pm for lunch. Wife and I both had The Big Fish plate. Best fried fish my wife ever had. She subbed out the fries for tomatoes and had a wonderful lunch. Our server Brandon was very attentive and friendly. We will be back.

We went for breakfast- it was superb. Buit they also serve lunch and dinner. Very economical as well. We had bacon and eggs with hash browns- Other than making my own breakfast at home it was the least expensive breakfast in town. The staff was efficient and accurate. There is a marvelous view of the lovely old cemetery across the street. There are sports on TV and there is a bar. Free on-site parking.

We return here for a burger every time we are in Lynchburg. I think that the place would be categorized as a dive; but that seems to be where you get the best food!

The front staff was very pleasant and accommodating; however, owner/cook not so much. (We heard him yelling at staff in the kitchen, but the "manger" assured us he was not.) We loved the Alligator appetizer! My husband ordered the 16 oz. steak. Half of it was delicious but the other half was like beef jerky! He sent it back but they refused to replace the order, instead they gave us a discount on the steak meal. Many because they had already thrown it in the trash before we could speak to anyone. The fried apples were like apple sauce and raw apples mixed with cinnamon. The fries were fabulous! I had the Blue and Pear salad. It was pretty good but the vinaigrette dressing was a bit strong and left my mouth burning. Sadly, I would not recommend this restaurant.

The fun is delicious and the portions are very ample. They have specials each night. Seating is good, with the ability to have TV at some of the individual tables along the edge of the room. Condusive to large parties too! Our waiter Steven was very attentive and knowledgeable of menu choices.

Went for late dinner (around 9 pm Sat). Were seated right away.Overall service was excellent and the restaurant seemed relatively clean, even after dinner rush.Typical ambiance on par with the likes of Chili's, TGIF, and Applebee's. Food wasn't bad, but was disappointed with the prime rib.Maybe it was late evening but it tasted like it was in the warmer bit too long.Chicken taco was OK and Cobb salad was decidely average.Portions were generous.The food was competent at best but did not wow me.Overall, 3 1/2 stars ...

I had recently dined at the skyline restaurant at the newly established Virginian Hotel. At first glance, a beautiful space with contemporary charm looking over Historic Downtown Lynchburg. I was just going for a drink with a friend to catch up, until I saw the menu. Itâs organized layout offers a decent variety for small bites, very intriguing. What really caught my eye was the California King sushi for Itâs description on the menu says this, â CALIFORNIA KINGAlaskan king crab, avocado, crispy asparagus, ginger soy glaze.â After the long wait for my drink, the server brought out the dish which was topped with items other than asparagus. Sifting through roughly chopped assorted greens, I forgave that issue and honed in on the crab. To my surprise I found that it was NOT King Crab but IMITATION crab meat! What a let down. Iâve experienced this with restaurants and other food establishments before...if you donât have the ingredients or itâs too late to assemble the CORRECT menu item, donât offer it. The inconsistency is concerning and I hope that corrective action is taken before this happens to the wrong guest. To add to the disappointing dinner, people were waiting at the bar trying to get an order taken which took way too long, it wasnât busy. Quality over quantity, service is about the people not the wallets.

We went on a Friday night about 6.30; our 1st visit. Our server, Lotisha was very friendly but seemed to be running all over the restaurant. The cracklins appetizer was excellent; very light, crunchy and no oily feel or taste. Unfortunately, everything went downhill from there. The service was extremely slow; not sure if it was the kitchen or the lack of servers or both. Even paying for our bill was a long wait. The pulled pork was about at room temperature and the ribs overcooked to the point of being very dry. The mashed potatoes were far from mashed potatoes; more potato pieces with some mash between them. On the plus side, the fries were very good as was the BBQ sauce. Between the disappointing food and long wait to be served; this visit was a completely discouraging experience...not worth repeating.

Our son wanted us to go here and it was for a good reason. This is the best BBQ I have ever had. It had a taste like no other. It was laden with sauce and it definitely wasn't dry. It was just right. It had me at thee first bite. There is sauce on the table but it needed nothing. Nice restaurant and very nice staff. Nothing fancy but clean. We were talking about going back again before we finished eating, This is my favorite place to eat now. Thanks for opening a perfect place to enjoy a good meal. I would recommend it to anyone. We had the pulled pork plate. I can't wait to go back!

So many delicious things, like deep fried pretzels with beer cheese and mustard, the sweet potato fries are heavenly but my favorite was the seared tuna tacos.
