The Bush Inn is a family run pub. We are family friendly and dogs are welcome in the bar area. We serve traditional home cooked food with also the choice of just having a light bites such as panini or salads. Sunday's we cook a traditional roast. We have
A quintessential English pub restaurant - no prétentions, no gastro pub, just a straight forward great place to have lunch. We had two starters as maincourse portions: whitebait and fried Brie - generous portions, nicely presented and most importantly, very tasty. Would recommend.

My partner and I stopped here for lunch on Sunday after visiting the lovely town of Long Melford. The restaurant and garden were fairly busy but not completely full so we walked through the garden and then in to the bar looking for a table, we eventually picked a table in the garden. I specifically looked for the table number after over hearing a member of staff asking a couple ordering what their table number was but our table, and the ones around it, didn't have one. I walked through an open door back towards the bar to get some menus and it was at this point I was stopped by another member of staff and told to "stop using that door as it was unfair to diners" who were sat in what looked like the conservatory, I explained that we were sat in the garden and I was just getting a menu and she said it didn't matter I had to use the door at the end of the building. My partner and I chose not to eat here as we felt unwelcome. Avoid.

We are a traditional village pub serving home cooked, fresh food at lunch and dinner seven days a week as well as stone baked pizza in the evenings and on Saturday. Our bar is dog friendly and we have a fantastic beer garden with a small fenced off play a
Having read the reviews we went to The Hare with high expectations and we were not disappointed. After a very warm welcome we sat down to eat lunch. My slow cooked skirt of beef was some of the best that I have tasted. My partner's belly of pork was equally good. The pub has a very pleasant and warm atmosphere, the staff are polite and helpful and obviously the chef and kitchen staff know what they are doing.

The Saracens Head is a 14th Century Coaching Inn at Newton, Suffolk, on the A134 road to Sudbury, it overlooks the Village Green has a classy interior decor and is rich in history with and abundance of original oak beams. It's a 'family run'' business with Landlady Beverley Faulkner happily overseeing the operation, her two daughters Hanna and Lisa provide an efficient waitress service and other support staff are Philip and Emily on the bar.The Menu offers a wide choice of meals to suit every palate, in addition there are special meals and desserts listed in the Bar and Dining Lounge areas. I tucked into a delicious 6oz Homemade Burger topped with cheese, portions are very generous here and everything is freshly cooked, as it's a free house there are plenty of beers to choose from including Real Ale and the wine list is well up to international standards. The Saracens Head has access for wheelchairs, is dog friendly in the Bar area, there's an enclosed summer garden for Al-fresco dining and is adjacent to the 18 hole Newton Green Gol;f Club.I had a nice lunch here and will certainly be back again in the future.

We stopped here for lunch and a pint after a morning's country walk. This is a classic, old style, rural country pub operating as a free house. It is traditional in style - wooden tables and benches so don't expect luxury. A shove haâpenny board had been carved into a table top and a wooden bench (former church pew?) had an intriguing lead surrounded hole at one end of the seat â requirements, we learned, for another old traditional pub game. The licensee was welcoming. There was a small choice (not said as a criticism) of real ales offering different style beers and there was something to suit our palate. For lunch one of us ordered a chilli con carne and the other a jacket potato with ham and coleslaw. Both were served in very substantial portions and even though we had been walking there was more than enough food. It was nicely presented and appetising. The salad served with the potato was crisp fresh and also substantial.Service was very cheerful and friendly, and prices reasonable. This is a great example of a traditional unspoilt British pub. We have been here before and will undoubtedly visit again.

Large car park to the rear of pub Kids play area surrounded by a fenced, grassed meadow with plenty of seating
Always a warm welcome at this cosy country pub. Lloyd, his wife and friendly team behind the bar and in the restaurant provide a friendly and efficient service, and there is always service with a smile. The bar meals are nicely priced, chicken goujons a favourite and the chunky chips are crispy edged - yum! The restaurant offers a wide variety of food at reasonable prices, the steak is really good. In the winter there is a lovely fire in the wood burner, and in the summer, a pretty beer garden to relax in. Clean and tidy, a brilliant atmosphere, a favourite of ours.

The Angel Hotel is a traditional village pub, restaurant and hotel, set on the market square, in the heart of Lavenham. We offer a fresh food dining concept , a large restaurant, welcoming bar and extensive garden, perfect for a summer cocktail or two! We
Great location overlooking the marketplace. We only stayed one night but we had a very friendly greeting on arrival. We were shown to our room which had the wonky walls and floors you would hope for in such an old building. The room was nicely decorated, clean and everything worked. The bathroom was a bit dated but spotlessly clean. The range of food for breakfast was a bit limited but the quality was good and the service again very friendly and efficient.

Set in the heart of historic Lavenham, the Cock Horse Inn offers all that you would expect from a traditional British pub- high quality, homemade, locally sourced food, prepared freshly to order at reasonable prices. Delicious ales served to perfection; a

Great looking pub with a real rustic and country feel. Havenât been in the 6 bells since last year but the staff are welcoming and friendly. The menu and food was fantastic and value for money. The mackerel starter and beef brisket were rosette restaurant quality and presented beautifully. Credit to the team: itâs clearly under new ownership or management. We will be back!

This was the first time we had dined at this pub but had read some very good reviews. We were not disappointed the meal was delicious, well presented and the staff were excellent. Also, we thought it was very reasonably priced. We Will certainly go again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend The White Horse, Whepsted.
