We are a family run business prided on our excellent customer service and serving food in a way completely different from anywhere else
I go here fairly regularly as my family live nearby, the food is very good and excellent value, with a large menu and plenty of choice for meat eaters and vegetarians alike. Friendly staff always give great service. The only negative point about the food is the desserts let it down, I had a âdeconstructedâ cake one time that was basically cheap strawberry sauce and other stuff chucked in a pot, not a big fan but otherwise starters and mains always excellent and more than make up for it! The thing that makes more inclined to choose other places over this one however, is the music. It is SO loud, almost every time I go here I remember why I tell myself next time Iâll go elsewhere. I wish theyâd sort it out as itâs otherwise a great place but I donât want music blasting so loud I have a headache and have to shout just to be heard every-time I go out for dinner. Last time I was there other tables were complaining also. I hope at some point in the future they turn it down to a more reasonable level. Iâd be happy to go here more often if they did! The four stars is for the food but the music honestly gives it a one for ambience.

It is a real shame having frequented Bar Milano for a number of years, to report that it has really gone downhill. Sitting watching customers with dogs allowing them on their lap to eat from their plate.........is not very hygienic. The bar service was really poor. Could we wind the clock back and get back to where is was a few years ago a great place to go for food and a relaxing drink.

Had many a meal here and would recommend many of the dishes but especially the lentil soup. Great friendly staff and very reasonable prices both for food and drink. One of the few places that do small portions - great for when my elderly Dad comes along. Would highly recommend,

Friendly, welcoming Bar/Lounge/Diner offering great gastro pub food 7 days a week Rated 4.5 Out of 5 for food. We also offer full SKY SPORTS/BT SPORTS/PREMIER SPORTS with weekly live music singers and Karaoke party nights!
Weâve eaten in here a few times but often get put off. Unfortunately I find that most items are either served with chips or rice. But on the other hand it is a pub and I suppose thatâs what people expect. On this occasion I had the steak pie. It was ok, served with chips, I opted for them although I will say the server did offer potatoes but I didnât want to take the risk of it being smash. I just like my food tasty as anyone would. Plain boiled veg with no seasoning? Not my thing, throw a bit of butter, salt and pepper. Doesnât take much. On the other hand my wife had the salt and chilli chicken with curry sauce and believe it or not, rice. The sauce they use is a well known medium strength sauce from home bargains, I can tell that sauce a mile away as I use the extra hot one at home. Great sauce though! She thoroughly enjoyed hers. Thanks for your views Will take on board your comments re the veg but we do in fact make fresh mash potato fluffy and seasoned. Our sauce is also made fresh .... not from Home Bargains ! We hope these little things did not spoil your overall BW experience. We look forward to seeing you again soon.

Junkyard. Great beer, food and tunes, all served with a smile - it's that simple.
We were looking for a nice easy going place for dinner as a family and thought we would try Junkyard. Look and feel was very good and we immediately all felt the place had a very positive atmosphere. It has a nice look and feel to it and the atrium area and outside area were great. The staff were very friendly, always smiling and were clearly good at their job. They set expectations around timings and happy explained any items on the menu and also gave some ideas as well - all very impressive. So why not 5 stars then? well it loses one star for the food. Don't get me wrong food was great, very tasty and the range was excellent, value was decent enough. I had a chicken rodeo burger and was very happy with it. But it came with Onion rings and I had ordered a side of chunky chips and both of these very saturated in oil, they hadn't been drained of the excess oil. I have tasted nothing but oil in my mouth since and its now 24 hours later. My kids both had burgers and they were well made, no fat and cooked well, just over seasoned with herbs, to the extent that all you could taste was herbs. There skinny fries were fine. So food was good quality, well made and other than the oil on the onion rings and chips and the over seasoning of the burgers it was very tasty. my chicken rodeo burger was excellent. So 100% we will visit again and probably soon, we may not order what we had before but please please please just can you quality check the food - thats all really!

Just back from a Fab birthday dinner at the Electric Bar. This was our 1st visit for a meal. It started off with a warm welcome from Samantha who was so helpful with regards to our drinks order, then explaining the food I can eat with regards to my Gluten Allergy. I and going to give the Electric Bar and Samantha 5 stars. Not only for the friendliness of staff and also for their knowledge of contamination with regards to Ceoliacs and Vegans. The food and service 1st class and as such I have, also recommend this pub on my Facebook Group for Scottish Ceoliacs and Ceoliacs eat out. Thank you for making my birthday treat so special xThanks for the great review, Samantha is a great asset to Electric Bar, she has been with us for over 3 years and is a great ambassador for our company, all Electric Bar are trained on food allergies and we do our best to accommodate our customers, we look forward to welcoming you and your friends again, thank you.

the Cherry tree is now under new management. We opened in December 2016 following a massive refurbishment. We serve meals 7 days a week and have live entertainment on every Saturday night
New chef is excellent, I had lunch with my mum and sister and both of them cleared their plates which is very unusual, I requested half a portion for my mum as she hasnât been eating lately and I was so pleased that she ate every morsel. I then had home made soup with my husband and it was delicious, I especially loved the really nice bread it was served with instead of those really hard rolls. Looking forward to going back, especially look forward to the new menu Thankyou so much for your wonderful review. Look forward to seeing you again

Turned up here as we were passing by on the way back to Cumbria. It was a very cold day and we were the only customers. We were greeted with a warm smile and seated by the radiator. We ordered burgers, mince and tatties and minute steak. The steak was more like a rump and the pepper sauce it came with was lovely. All served piping hot which is just what we were after. Great little place.

Went with friends on Saturday night to find that there was a party being held in the Restaurant and thought this could be very noisy. This was not the case as they were the best behaved party goers i have met.Food was well presented and all courses that the 4 of us had were delicious especially the sea bass and the ginger sauce with the chicken dish was fantastic( I nearly had the cheek to ask for more)All in all a great night was had and the service was very friendly and professional.Be back soon!!!Thank you very much for your lovely comment hopefully see you soon.Catherine

Decided to go for lunch at Applebank Inn and we were not disappointed.Fabulous customer service, prompt afriendly attention without intrusion.varied menu quite extensive, finally both settled on soup of day and chicken fajitas which can only be described as an explosion of flavours. Meal was served piping hot and big serving well presented.Reasonable priced lunch and we do hope to visit again soon with friends and try out some cocktails. We had a look at drinks menu which again prices were very good for cocktails(huge list of same). All in all good decision today to visit Applebank in all its spooky glory with Halloween decks adorning the premises to add to the atmosphere of pub. busy place with constant flow of people which speaks for itself.honestly couldnât fault
