I started with their onion and ale soup. Very good! I had the Rueben and my wife had the chicken sandwich. Food was served promptly and hot. Good quality. Many kinds of beer as you would expect. Waitress was especially pleasant and sincere. We would go back again.

Surprisingly the food in this place is great. The burgers are to die for, made on a grill. Very fresh. Wings were good not too hot even for wimpy style. But the french fries are homemade and crispy brown. Can't find too many good places that make a decent burger. Jolene is always friendly, can't say as much for her "blonde" counterparts. The bar itself is a locals hangout and across the street from a less desireable place. But if you want a good meal eat here or call for delivery within the local area.

Im not a pizza snob but omg loveeeee this place. Baked potato pizza is my fav! N the hawian, meat lovers.....n so on lol. There plain cheese is even good! We do take out mostly. They dont deliver. Smaller side for family seating but its a small yown so its perfect. Theres a bar on other side. They are seperated so u dont feel like ur in the bar if u go in w family. U can eat in the bar. They have small tables if u choose to eat in there. Plenty of parking. Great ppl.!

Originally we pulled into a downtown brewery that recently opened and had great reviews but there were fire trucks blocking our entry and the area was cordoned off. We were hungry and didnât want to wait around so we searched Trip Advisor and found this place and we are so glad we did. Itâs a cute little place in the middle of Norwichtown Mall. Itâs decor is a simple combination of neutral tones and huge pictures of children. We liked the lamps hanging over the tables and booths. Our server was Zinteel - a stunningly beautiful young woman with a vivacious personality. I had the eveningâs specialty drink which was a salted caramel martini and it was scrumptious. My husband had the Stardust IPA which he enjoyed. For dinner I had the Buffalo Blue Burger and fries which were done to perfection. The buffalo sauce was what Iâd call a mellow spice. The French fries are dusted in flour and sea salt which is an interesting variation on regular fries. My husband had the meatloaf dinner which he said was very good (except that the mashed potatoes needed to be served hotter). Weâre in Connecticut for a few more weeks and most likely will return to 36 Town and will definitely refer it to everyone!

Excellent atmosphere for drinks and food! The beers on tap are local and the staff is thoroughly trained to offer up suggestions to those of us that have a little trouble deciding. They are also versed and stocked with a full bar. These Guys know their stuff! We will return to grab a new brew sometime soon!

We've been here several times with the most recent visit in March. The selection of food is decent and the food is average, but it's hard to get past the tight seating and loudness of the place. The place is small and one of the seating areas has a bar in it so that section gets even louder than the main dining area. Service is just okay. There aren't a lot of places to eat in this area so people pack here during peak eating times and the wait is often lengthy. Portion size is average with pricing as expected. Overall, it's just an average place to eat.

Very friendly and interactive barkeep. Lots of interesting artifacts. Great draft beer selection. Not a foodie stop, just a drive-by. The menu looks great and some of the food I saw come out looked great.

Stopped in for a bite to eat with some friends the other day. The waitress was very polite and helpful. Service was fast and everything that was supposed to be hot was. I've eaten in many Chilis restaurants and this one by far has the best service that I've ever gotten. We just had our work Christmas party at River Ridge. The food was perfectly prepared and provide on time. We had a group that covered 20-60 year olds and everyone was happy with the meal. Bill and his staff provided great service and took care of everything. I have had many meals here and have always been satisfied with them. They handled a large group with ease, we will book next year's festivities with them.

My husband called in an order for two pizzas on the afternoon of Saturday, December 7, 2013. When he got home, we discovered that both orders were wrong. One pizza was missing the mushrooms he requested and the second pizza included onions, which he did not order. When my husband called Surrell's to complain, the woman who answered the phone said (and I quote) "There's nothing I can do about it. Can you call back at 8 o'clock and ask for Christine?" It was 5:30 PM. Any restaurant that screws up both of your orders and asks you to wait two and a half hours for some type of resolution (assuming one was forthcoming) does not deserve your business (and certainly will never again get ours). I might add that the pizzas were mediocre to begin with -- puddles of grease surrounded the toppings and the crusts were burned. We might have tolerated this (hey, it was just pizza and everyone has a bad day), but the chutzpah of staff telling us to call back in a couple of hours because they got our order wrong was beyond our comprehension.I have posted the dates, times, and names associated with this abysmal encounter should the owner of this (not) fine establishment care to determine who was at the helm when this customer service fiasco ensued and take the appropriate action.In the meantime, it will be this former advertising and marketing executive's pleasure to aggressively spread the word far and wide that this place is to be avoided at all costs.
