Discover Restaurants offering the best Pub food in Ithaca, New York, United States. "Ithaca is gorges" can be read on proud t-shirts across New York State, and there is definitely truth in advertising. Sitting on the shores of Cayuga Lake, the largest of the Finger Lakes, the hilly town of Ithaca is surrounded by dense forests, towering waterfalls, and many gorges. The natural beauty has a distinctly academic feel, as local universities have filled the woods with museums and education centers like The Cornell Lab of Ornithology, which features a 220 acre wildlife sanctuary.

We stopped by here after hiking all day for dinner. There was a long wait for our meal and the manager came over and apologized and made it more than right with us. Now that's GREAT management, no excuses, just I'm sorry and let me make it right! Recommend and we'll stop again if in the area!

Free parking, large bar, inside and outside seating, great sound system, have not had any food there so no comments, entrance charge for bands, bathroom facilities for men & women, several bartenders, etc... If one wishes a evening of musical entertainment then this is the place to visit and I believe under DSP Shows?

Kilpatrickâs Publick House is a traditional Irish pub featuring authentic Irish-inspired and American cuisine. Our bar offers classic cocktails, Finger Lakes wines, and the most extensive draft list in the area, with 21 taps. Located next to the Hilton Ga
I've gone here a handful of times, for some evening suds. Aside from the exceptional atmosphere and fun-loving Irish theme, with plenty of perfectly poured Guinness Stout's to suck the frothy goodness from your 2-week mustache, this place also lends itself to some above average fare. Let's begin, shall we? First off, my wife and I decided to dine here, just today, for our lunch excursion away from the office on 'the hill'. What a wonderful idea! We were politely and energetically greeted by our chipper hostess, that also served as our waitress for the day. She handled the other two parties that arrived, while we were dining with as much enthusiasm and hospitality as she gave us. That means a lot to me, to see everyone given the same level of kindness. My wife started off with a beautifully displayed cup of their French Onion soup. It was a show stopper! Gosh, I wish I would have gotten a photo of that finely displayed chef's masterpiece! It was blanketed with a thick and golden layer of cheese and some fresh and vibrant bright green onions, as a nice contrast to the blanket of cheese. My wife couldn't stop making those ever popular sounds of enjoyment as she took bite-after-bite. I, however, sat there of my own accord still wishing I would have snapped a photo of that cup of oniony decadence. I ordered an appetizer of their "Irish Chips" for us to share, prior to our meal arriving. These chips were perfect! There was definitely no 1845 potato famine with these things! A large (really large) shareable portion of crunchy, crispy fried, golden-goodness of flavorful potato chips tossed with herbs, garlic, shredded parmesan cheese, scallions, and goat cheese. Absolutely divine! Had it not been for my lunch break, a frosty cold one would have paired quite well with this plate of naughtiness! She - A BYOB burger and suggested the meat tasted smoked. Absolutely loved it. Me - The ole faithful fish and chips! Amazing! A large portion of haddock with plenty of fresh cut fries. The coleslaw was phenomenal! Not too dry, not too wet. To say we left full, would be an understatement and mildly elementary in the definition. Kudos all around! From the very beginning to the culinary skills from the folks in the kitchen! This place is sure to please even the most sophisticated of palettes. An absolute superb experience and most definitely will return for more tantalizing menu options for future dining!Daniel we are thrilled to read and share your experience with our entire team. We all have very busy scheudles and it means so much to us for our patrons to take time out of thier days to provide feedback, we really apprecaite your words and look forward to welcoming you back again and again! We are a true neighborhood establishment, a responsibility we take seriously. The food is why most people come, but we do have a very good selection of wines, spirits and beers. The menu changes with the seasons and uses as much local, organic vegetables
The setting is pleasant, parking plentiful, service attentive, food well prepared and interesting. I strongly recommend it...if you can find it.

We had one of the best-prepared meals in a longtime at this new restaurant in Ithaca. The dessert, a cardamon sponge cake with cherries, might be one of the best desserts I have ever had. While visiting Ithaca we stopped by this restaurant while walking down the street. We were warmly welcomed by an attentive and helpful staff. We selected ricotta gnocchi and fried chicken, two different, but equally delicious entrees with fresh ingredients and creatively seasoned and prepared. The salads were fresh with selected fresh greens. The prices were reasonable for the quality and care of preparation.I would recommend as a âmust-goâ to all foodies.

The Carriage House Café is a beautifully restored two-story carriage house with a full-service restaurant on the first floor and bar/lounge on the second floor, known simply as The Loft. Although the original 1850s structure required extensive restoration
Came here on a Saturday morning, greeted by delightful hostess. Hour wait, no biggie we had no where to be and can grab coffee and scones and sit upstairs while you wait. If your in a rush-> leave, there is not a ton of tables so be patient. We were taken to table about an hour later and again greeted by fantastic waitress, they were all so friendly. Ordered the mulled hot cider (to die for) will order over and over, omelette special did not disappoint as well as beet salad! Just go but be patient or plan another time to go.Thank you so much for visiting us and taking the time to provide your feedback! It is true, weekend brunch can be busy and that's why we try to provide a comfy space for our guests to hang out. We hope to serve you again soon!

After a long day of traveling to Ithaca, we were ready for a beer and dinner. We headed to Ithaca Ale House where we faced with a 45 minute wait. Thankfully we found Red's where we were seated immediately and we soon forgot about the Ale House. Great service and great food. Nice selection of beer and wine.

Having traveled along Hwy 89 to and from Ithaca many times, I always noticed that the parking lot at this place was pretty full any time near noon or dinner times. We finally stopped and were treated to outstanding burgers and an excellent grilled chicken sandwich (I know, how good could that be? In his case, really good). There's a great view out of the dining room window that looks between beautiful trees looking down on Cayuga Lake. We didn't know, but that have won Best Burger in Ithaca regularly and I'm sure it's due to the fact that they grind their own ground beef each day. You can tell that in the product they put out. Sandwiches are presented on fresh French bread. Mine was toasted which added a nice little flavor and texture. The fries were also great. I know this was only lunch, and it seems a little strong to be raving over pretty basic choices, but the people here know what they are doing and do it very well. I strongly encourage anyone traveling into or out of Ithaca to pop in for very satisfying and enjoyable bite.

We had arrived later than expected in Ithaca so wanted to grab something quick for a late lunch. What a surprise! Although the hostess wasnât particularly welcoming, our waitress was phenomenal. Wish I remembered her name but she was top notch. The philly cheese steak was one of the best Iâve had, as was the French dip. All reasonably priced. We liked the place so much, we went back for evening drinks. Highly recommend.
