The Exhibition Pub, Restaurant and Bar in Godmanchester, near Huntingdon is a family run pub with a warm, friendly & welcoming atmosphere. With locally sourced ingredients and an award winning head chef, we are a great place to eat. We have lunch, dinner
Excellent service and great food. The menu offered a decent choice with Rib-eye steak, cod & chips and chicken breast burgers alongside traditional Sunday lunch options. The Exhibition delivered a good all-round experience and we managed to book a table at 11am on the day. Our party had the roast lamb, sea bass and veggie wellington. All dishes were well presented and none of us had any quibbles at all.. The deserts were mighty fine too. Well done to The Exhibition team for a lovely Sunday lunch. Top notch!

Having visited last month we were impressed so much so that we returned 4 weeks later . This time it was disappointing after our previous experience .Restaurant/ pub was not busy at time of order but thereafter there was a quite a few people came in for drinks which made the bar busy and added atmosphere .Unfortunately the food served was only warm and the meat was on this occasion fatty . However we were given a minor discount and an apology . Due to previous experience which was beyond expectations we will try one more time and will put this down to a one off problem having brought to the attention of the staff . Thank you for your kind comments regarding your first visit and for your understanding about the second. We would be delighted to see you again and to be given the opportunity to show you that this was indeed an unfortunate rare occurrence and not our usual standard. We look forward to seeing you again very soon.Kind regardsJenny

Went today having not been for a feww months and although the restaurant was quiet, others havign chosen to eat in the bar we had a first class lunch all round. From cod, chicken and pork everybody was satisfied. The portions were generous although deserts were smaller than remembered from the last visit.Prices are fair and our compliments go to the chef.

Cambs Cuisine restaurants are usually so good, so quite a surprise with the Cock. Have been a number of times and usually good, however tonight not so!Tried a fish special starter, King Prawns with garlic, chilli and ginger sounded really nice, however reality was far from expectation. 3 small prawns with a somewhat bland dressing on a bed of blend puree. £8+, avoid, the Duck Parcels that others in our party had were much better choice. I know what I will have IF I go again. Main course steak was much better, if a little basically presented, however others that had the beetroot risotto reported to be rather bland. Deserts were basic fare, nothing to write home about. In summary, they really need to look at the taste of their dishes, after all what is the main priority of the food that is served. TASTE!On the positive side, service was excellent and the beers very good (apart from running out of their guest beer half way through service. May return, but will be keeping a keen eye on reviews first to see if they sort out their menu and flavours. Thank you for leaving us some feedback on your recent visit to us, sorry to hear that you had some disappointment with the food that you ordered. The tiger prawn dish does have a simple puree with it as the prawns themselves have been blasted with the strong flavours of garlic, chilli & ginger, we want to avoid losing these wonderful tastes with more over powering spices. It may well still be on the fish menu next time, if you were to come again. It was supposed to come off a week ago however its been so popular we've extended its time with us.Good to hear you enjoyed the steak. With the beetroot risotto, I like to mix the strong flavours of the smoked mozzarella & candied walnuts, that dress the top, into the risotto. It really brings the dish to life! Our current dessert menu does have a lot of classics on there but I feel chef has given them our own unique twist. If you come again, which I really hope you do, you must try the Pear Tart Tatin with celery syrup & Gorgonzola ice cream or the Chocolate Orange Fondant with chocolate soil & filled with orange curd.Sorry that the guest ale went while you were here, we only get 1 keg of each of the guest ales in, then once its gone its gone, the line is then cleaned & the next one then comes on. The change over can take about an hour or longer if its busy. However with the two house ales & IPA we can kept the flow going much quicker.Lovely to hear that you appreciate our service & hope very much that we get to see you again soon.RegardsBen

What a perfect stop when travelling along the A14 towards Kettering. Just a mile off the a14 nestled in a pretty village. Great welcome from landlord Simon. Fabulous centuries old building beautifully maintained. The menu was imaginative, all home cooked dishes.the service was delightful and immediate from a lovely lady whom name escapes me but has worked there for six years. Canât fault it. Food was excellent. Will be making this a pull off when travelling that route again.

In idyllic grounds, The Crown Inn Broughton is a charming pub restaurant, housed in a Grade II Listed building. In a homely and cosy setting, The Crown offers traditional, hearty fare and local produce. Modern and welcoming, the bar offers a handpicked wi
Our daughter got married at the end of August and had decided to have the reception at The Crown after visiting a number of other possible venues. The owner, Mark Burrell was brilliant throughout and made the whole planning stress free (or as stress free as any wedding is!). The marquee company did a great job and Markâs team ensured everything was trouble free. The menu was great (King prawn starter, stuffed chicken breast main and chocolate tart to finish)and vegetarian and vegan guests were also catered for. The feedback from a large number of guests praised all the waiting staff who were brilliant from serving the fizz and canapés to the tea/coffee at the end of the meal. Would certainly recommend for a wedding reception venue. Well done to all concerned

This extremely busy pub is now primarily a large restaurant with such a reputation for good food that pre booking is essential at weekends and other potentially busy periods. Parking is limited in their own car park but on street parking is available close by.My recommendation is to look at the Specials blackboard menu although the standard menu offers a great range. The triple meat roast on a Sunday is a popular choice.Staff are friendly despite being extremely busy and there are plenty of them.A pub restaurant that you are fairly certain will deliver to a high standard on all occasions.

17Th Century village pub in the village of Ellington, five minutes from the junction of the A14 and the A1, where Nick Marriott is creating food with new, exciting flavours, whilst also retaining some of the best traditional favourites. The pub was refurb
Very friendly atmosphere, exquisite food, fast service. I came in for lunch yesterday and had the pakora, brisket and the white chocolate fondant. honestly some of the food Iâve ever eaten, without a doubt the tastiest food in the area. The flavour pairing is absolute genius and clearly prepared and presented by a true professional. My dessert was absolutely amazing, who ever cooked it must be a truly skilled human being with an amazing eye for plating dishes up. The food and service was brilliant, and surprisingly affordable. Would recommend!
