As soon as we walked in we were greeted by staff, asked where we would like to sit and given plenty of time. The menu is exciting, every mouthful delicious. It caters for everyone. Banoffee cheesecake was a very good sized portion and extremely tasty. I didn't have an alcoholic drink but I am sure the quality is very high. The staff were attentive and chatty and I found the whole experience wonderful.

The restaurant is very good, but my visits to the pub in the evenings for a drink have been spoiled by some of the locals who are allowed to hug the bar They sit sideways on the bar stools and prevent other customers from getting close to the bar r. They even continue their conversations when the new customer is trying to order. This means that everybody around the bar is having to shout. The staff and their customers ordering the drinks then have to bend forward and stretch across the knees of the people sitting at the bar, to pay and reach their drinks. This is, of course.is more difficult with card transactions and loose change,I can only apologise for this some times the bar can be quite busy.

This was my first time to The Stag, we went for a family get together. It is a great local pub, some excellent beers available, I had a few nice pints of Adnams. The prices are very sensible, the staff and the locals made you feel welcome. I will definitely be going back.

An independent hotel and restaurant in the glorious Hertfordshire countryside, The Airman at Meppershall is an idyllic dining getaway mere miles from the sprawls of Luton and Bedford. Classically styled in keeping with its idyllic location, The Airman is
We stayed at the Airman for two nights, visiting our daughter who is based in the area. On arrival there was plenty of parking spaces available and we were met by the owner on reception (Roy) who welcomed us and advised on the facilities available. The room we had was certainly not modern but we didnât book a Premier inn so was more or less what we expected. The room was spacious, clean with a comfy bed. The bathroom was adequate for our needs with plenty of tea/coffee available. The room was very warm and in fact the wife turned the radiator off.The bar area is lovely with friendly staff (Sam , Wendy). We ate in the hotel on our first night and the food was excellent, both in taste and presentation. On our second night we dined out with our daughter and returned to the hotel to find a 40th birthday party in full swing. This didnât impact on our time in the bar but when we retired to bed 1230am the noise was a little loud below us. Once the music stopped 1am) and the guests had finally returned to their rooms all was peaceful again. One of the most enjoyable aspects of our stay was a long conversation with the owner (Roy) who is a very interesting, intelligent and friendly host. This hotel is certainly not the Ritz but it is one we will be returning to in February.Thank you for your kind review. We look forward to seeing you again soon.

The Green Man is a public house, restaurant and hotel, with its oak beams, exposed brickwork and inglenook fireplace's it is very popular with our patrons. Built in the 1700s, this old coach house has been transformed over the years and is has recently un
Stayed one night in the Green Man and had a lovely meal of Cajun chicken pasta, Wife had the sea bass. would have had special beef stake but a bit pricey. Price included buffet breakfast so expecting continental and was surprised that a full English was part of that. Staff friendly and helpful. Room in the "cottage style" annex was basic but clean. I would have rated higher but we asked for a quiet room on booking and were not told that a noisy wedding reception was the same night! Loud until midnight. Pity as setting is rural and away from town. Otherwise no complaints

Fine dining Restaurant serving locally sourced fresh produce, cooked to order. Fine Wines, Beers and Ales. Garden. Great for Business meetings and celebrations. Separate enclosed venue for marquee events.sky and by sports
The service at this establishment is the worst I have ever experienced, therefore Gary does deserve 5 Stars.I love the come-backs that the owner gives to anyone who dares to criticize the service here. It is so incompetent that it does deserve 5 Stars for the owners inability to understand how to run a business. Give him £1,000's every year in your hard earned money, only to have your faith in customer experience dashed at every eventuality. I wish this incompetent owner well on his discovery of how to ruin a business, I feel sorry for the really great staff that have to put up with having to deal daily with complaints from customers, the awful food and slightly out of date beer. Readers of this review, please prepare yourself for the barrage of poor grammar, misspelling and general abuse that my honest review will receive from the owner . Please do take out your own insurance for the bouncy castles if you let your kids "bounce"!!!!This is all over our FREE sausage and mash night Monday, he said the sausages where not up to standard they were FREE ! And all other customers were very happy with the Cumberland sausages. He proceeded to drive off in his 90k Range Rover because he did not like his sausage ! Which I will add he did not even try ! We have now stopped free sausage and mash as a result. He has been to all the local pubs for various periods of time and left all others under a cloud, he is now running out of options. The customer will not be welcome back in our establishment again

Situated on the B659 in High Street at Henlow with easy access from Junction 10 off the A1. This pretty pub with its picturesque garden is full of traditional character and the perfect place to eat, drink and relax.
Service was excellent - knowledgable, competent, speedy and very pleasant (we had a little chat). The hitch... first time round my 'medium rare' steak was medium (verging towards medium - well-done) and was covered in black pepper even though I had asked for no pepper...... the replacement steak was perfect!Sides of chunky chips and buttered greens were fulsome and yummy. Please pass on my thanks to the excellent waitress - I think her name was Lucie. Will definitely visit again.Thank you for taking time to review and rate us. Lucie was delighted to be mentioned.

Nice Local village pub. Friendly welcome although not sure where to sit us for dinner, in the restaurant or bar, we opted for the bar. We hadn't made a reservation. Good beer on point. Good wine selection. Nice atmosphere and friendly waitress service.Food was your typical pub grub, satisfying and tasty. We would return.
