My first visit this week [24/9/19] and I chose for starters the Guinea Fowl Terrine then I had the Braised Blade of Beef on creamed mash and whole carrots then a pumkin seed set custard covered with fruits, vanilla ice cream and shivers of meringue. It was simply superb start to finish and amazingly cheap. Next time I'm in the locality I'll stay overnight and have supper and breakfast. Do it !!!

Have just eaten here for my partners birthday, everything was great, we had cheeseburger and steak pie and 2 fab puddings. It was all so tasty and lovely presentation, you can tell the chefs take real pride in their food. Definitely recommend, and the snug for private parties looks fab.

Just had an amazing Tapas meal at Bottomleys with the family. The portions were very generous, and very tasty, staff were very friendly, and I can see why the hand-pulled beer was called Guzzler, an excellent pint, or two, or three ( I wasnât driving). Will definitely return.

The Brown Horse at Coley is always excellent. Pleasant staff and delicious food. We went as a party of 10, all had different things but all said they were delicious. Iâve been at lunch times and evenings, and itâs just as good on each occasion.

A great little pub, with excellent ales and great food, the staff were very attentive, and the menu, had some very interesting choices, I had the sausage sandwich which was an excellent quality sausage, the atmosphere was a bit quiet, which was a surprise on a Saturday afternoonThank you for your review, we are so happy that you enjoyed the food and we are working hard to spread the word about what we do at the Griffin to attract more interest and custom and breathe some life into this grand old place

Celebrated my special birthday here with a family party of 9. We were given a private room which was just perfect for our needs. The food was very good and well presented and everybody was happy with their chosen meal. Thank you to all the staff for making my birthday special. I shall certainly recommend this place to other people.

We haven't been here for a few years, but we went as a family , for a Tuesday night the place was well attended with a good vibe. Staff friendly and polite. We were seated quickly in the upstairs restaurant . Service was good. Tues is Pie + a drink night, the food was awesome. I had the chicken and mushroom pie with a puff pastry top, the filling was fresh rich and creamy, served with chunky chips. We also sampled the Beef roast dinner, the vegetarian pie and burger, all good but my son would have preferred the burger in a traditional bun , not Ciabatta. All in all a good night and prices are reasonable. Compliments to the chef and staff.

I have reviewed here before and give it 5 stars. Maybe this particular day was an off day. We came for the carvery. It was the first time we had and I have to say, unimpressed. The meat was hard work. We left most of it. We couldn't cut it (beef) and we chewed it for what felt like forever. The rest was ok but nothing to write home about. I think we will stick to your regular menu from now on. That is worthy of 5 stars. Service wasn't as good as it usually is. We had to hunt for a member of staff so we could pay. We ended up paying at the bar. We didnt make a complaint as the bar staff were very busy. We wont be back on a sunday sadly. But we will be back on other days for the regular menu for top notch grub.
