Visited here for my mums 97th birthday,staff so friendly and helpful couldn't do enough for us.Food amazing, everything went smoothly as there was 12 of us, lovely place and will definitely be back as the Sunday roast was fab and a good portion too.Only thing is was a very wet damp day out n inside the windows were dripping with condensation n it was very very warm, the odd window open wouldn't go a miss when its like that. But that's just a little thing apart from that it's an amazing place fantastic food and will be back.Thank you for making Mums birthday special.

Family lunch. Excellent experience. One vegetarian, one carnivore (!), one happy with either. Everyone left very happy!!!!Very friendly staff, especially the bar man, who asked about our day, plans for the day and gave a general feeling that he hoped we truly enjoyed our meal.Food was so so good, we all wanted to eat it all, but just not possible. Large portions, while hot, flavoursome and well presented.Visited several times and will continue to do soThank you for taking the time to review your visit.We're so pleased to hear our whole team, kitchen and bar, delivered a wonderful experience.We hope to see you again soon.

Six of us visited on August 24th to grab a few cocktails prior to eating at the restaurant next door. We originally intended to visit either of the other two bars next door, but both of them were rammed and noisy with crowds spilling out into the street. I'm so glad we went to Grand Ave instead. We had a lovely airy table next to the opened bi fold doors. Our wide range of cocktails were very well made and everyone in our party enjoyed them. The service was outstanding, despite me ordering an 'Old-fashioned' (known to take a while to mix!).A great atmosphere and friendly staff, I can definitely recommend this venue. Whilst we didn't eat there, the food served to other patrons looked very tasty, appetising and nicely presented.

After it reopened I was curious and decided to go with my sisters to check it out.The refurb has been done very well indeed. The decor is lovely. The atmosphere comfortable and relaxing. Top marks. The new menu not so much... Little choice, overpriced and things missing from the plates on arrival. There was only one young lady for the front desk, the bar and taking orders at 5pm. We weren't in a hurry so didn't mind the wait too much and more staff did arrive eventually. Maybe only teething issues will try again in a month or soCarms H, we regret to hear that you had a negative experience with us, but would appreciate the chance to turn your experience around. Dropped in for lunch having never been in before and really enjoyed the relaxed cosy atmosphere, as well as excellent food. There is a great feel about the tap, itâs quite traditional in its appearance, great music playing in the background and a warm seat by the log burner. The menu is fairly limited, but the veg sharing platter with a slice of locally made pork pie, was beyond expectation. Beautifully presented and very tasty. We will definitely be back.

Excellent value for money. Booked online for 3 at 19.00 hrs. We were given a choice of tables and drinks ordered. We skipped starters, and our mains were served in 20 mins! The rump steaks were good and so was the gammon. However there only seemed to be English mustard available if you didn't choose an additional sauce.The apple crumble was spot on!The manager and staff should be congratulated on their fast and efficient service. If I have to make one criticism, it would be that the Gents could do with a makeover!Thanks for taking the time to let us know how we did. We're glad to hear we delivered such a great experience. Went for dinner with four friends, we all really enjoyed our meals, which included fish and chips, scampi and chips and fish pie, followed by apple crumble and custard, lemon sponge and custard all delicious. Also such good value for money two courses for about £7 unbeatable, look forward to going again soon.

Very warm welcome by staff in very pleasant surroundings. We had the set three course which gave limited choice but was very competitively priced with a bottle of their house red ( excellent). It was our decision to choose the set lunch menu , which was well cooked and appropriate , and it did not disappoint.However perhaps we should have been more adventurous. We certainly would go back.Hence five stars because it delivered what it said on the label and I could not fault their service or atmosphere and the food was our choice based upon value for money . Visited the gravesberie inn at the weekend to celebrate family birthdays. We were shown to our table that was private which was amazing. Table was decorated with helium balloons which was a nice addition. Our server for the evening Jeannie, was very attentive and helpful taking our order for drinks and then for our food. Our meals were all excellent and could not be faulted. I had the seafood grill which was well presented and delicious. My husband had rump steak and beef dripping gravy, which he said was cooked just as he had asked. Excellent in every way.

Ate here with a large family group on Sunday. Pub was nice enough and staff fine. I ordered the roast and although the portions were large and the meat OK, the Yorkshire was on the cold side and the crispy parsnips were over done. Funny choice of veg for this time of year. Others did report their choices were good though.
